"Are you planning to borrow this hospital room?" Qi Qi put down the book in his hands, tilting his head slightly as he looked at me and Molin, pushing up his glasses. 0

Since Molin insisted on dealing with the hospital's ghosts first and needed a room for cover, I thought long and hard and realized that I could only ask Qi Qi, who lived on this floor, for help. 0

I awkwardly smiled at Qi Qi and leaned closer to whisper the lie I had already woven, "Actually, he's my distant cousin. There's a problem here; he likes to stay in the hospital room every full moon. Back in the countryside, his dad was a doctor, so it didn't matter. But now that we're in the city, he can't just pretend to be sick for one night! Plus, he's stubborn and refuses to stay in the observation room because he says it's too noisy. So I thought about it and figured I could only trouble you, Professor. You can go home to sleep the night after tomorrow; just let him stay in your room for one night." 0

Qi Qi raised his eyes slightly to look at Molin, who was gazing at him with wide eyes. Qi Qi cleared his throat softly and leaned closer to me, saying quietly, "He looks pretty normal, doesn't he?" 0

"Who would show their abnormality on the surface? Professor Qi, I know your injury isn't fully healed yet, and staying outside the hospital isn't ideal. But—" I lowered my voice and continued, "But he's gay. I'm worried that sharing a room with you might lead him to have ill intentions towards you. So what do you think—can we make this work?" 0

Qi Qi fell silent for a moment before saying, "Alright then. Since he's your cousin, I'll agree." 0

"Thank you, Professor Qi." 0

"But—" Qi Qi stretched out the word with a smile as he took my hand. "But I'm still a patient. If something happens at home when I'm alone, no one would know. So you need to come back with me the night after tomorrow." 0

"This—" 0

His words put me in a difficult position. Molin chose me because I could see the ghost while he could only sense its presence without having Yin-Yang Eyes. So I had to be there the night after tomorrow as his eyes. 0

But what Professor Qi said made sense; if anything happened to him alone at home, no one would know. 0

Just as I hesitated, Molin walked over from behind and patted my shoulder, speaking up for me. "That's not a problem; I'll take responsibility for Anxin." 0

Qi Qi looked at me with delight in his eyes. "Then it's settled." 0

I frowned, unsure of what Molin was planning. Once I left the ward, I immediately asked, "You want me to take care of him, but what about you?" 0

Molin shot me a glance and said, "Aren't you going to give him some sleeping pills? Just take him away the day after tomorrow at dusk. I'll set up a formation in the room; just make sure you arrive here before midnight." 0

After he mentioned it, I thought it was a good plan. I chuckled and said, "How could I not have thought of that? You're really clever." 0

"Hmph, weren't you just calling me an idiot? There are big problems here," Molin replied, clearly displeased. I awkwardly smiled and said, "Isn't that easier for him to accept?" 0

"And how do you know if it's straight or bent?" 0

I paused in my steps, looking at him with bright eyes. "Are you really bent?" 0

Molin's face darkened instantly as he walked ahead without looking back. I touched my nose and thought, "If you are, then what's there to be ashamed of?" 0

Molin ignored me and wandered off somewhere outside the ward. I didn't bother looking for him; instead, I called Chu Fan and went out for dinner before heading to the intensive care unit. 0

Although Lin You's surgery was successful, tonight was a critical period. Only after we got through this would we truly be safe. So Lin You's parents and Ling Feng were all present. 0

Lin You is my best friend, and I felt the weight of responsibility for what happened. Guilt gnawed at me, so I decided to stay tonight. Regardless of whether she lived or died, I wanted to be there for her. 0

Chu Fan patted my shoulder and comforted me, saying, "Don't worry; her life isn't over yet. She'll be fine." 0

"Her life isn't over?" I glanced at Lin You's parents and quietly asked, "Are you really sure?" 0

"You gave me Lin You's birth date, so I'm certain." 0

"That's great." I finally felt relieved. "That means my guilt has lessened significantly." 0

"But whether she can wake up is still unknown. This is a calamity in her fate. If she gets through it, that's the best outcome. But if she doesn't, even if she doesn't die, she will never be able to wake up for the rest of her life." 0

My heart sank again, then was lifted as I grasped Chu Fan's hand, asking anxiously, "Is there any way you can help her wake up? Jun Chong, it's because of me that she's in this state. Whether she lives or becomes a vegetable, I will never have peace of mind. If you have a way, I hope you can help me this once and bring Xiao You back to consciousness. I'm begging you." 0

"Anxin, this is the second time you've asked me for her." 0

"Yes." The first time was the night Sweet died. "No matter what happens, she is my best friend for life. I really can't lose her." 0

Jun Chong looked at me through Chu Fan's eyes. For some reason, I felt that there was an emotion in that gaze that I couldn't understand. After a long moment, he released the hand on my shoulder and began to tousle my hair. The emotion in his eyes faded away with that action. 0

"I said that as long as it is your wish, I will fulfill it." 0

Time passed second by second. As the clock approached midnight, Chu Fan stood up from beside me. "Where are you going?" 0

"Jun Chong is the one who will help you with this; it needs to be handled properly. You stay here and don't go anywhere, understand?" 0

"Mm." I nodded. Ling Feng came over with some late-night snacks and handed a portion to Lin You's parents before bringing one to me. 0

Ling Feng sat down beside me and asked, "Where did Chu Fan go?" 0

"Oh, he wasn't feeling well and went to the restroom." 0

After eating a few bites, I heard Mom Lin coughing over there. Lin's Dad was patting her back. "You have an upset stomach; don't drink cold water. I'll go get you some hot water." 0

"Uncle, let me do it!" I took the cup from Lin's Dad's hand. 0

"Thank you, Anxin." 0

"It's okay." I smiled lightly and paused before saying, "Uncle and Aunt, don't worry. I believe Xiao You will be fine." 0

"She will. My daughter will pull through," Mom Lin said, her voice thick with emotion as she fought back tears. I glanced at her and then turned to Ling Feng. "Take good care of them. I'll be back soon." 0

"Be careful." 0

I stepped out of the lounge and into the hallway leading to Room 102. It was nearing midnight, and the nurses were gathered together for shift change. Aside from their quiet chatter, the surroundings were unusually silent. 0

Carrying my cup, I walked past the Nurse Station toward the Hot Water Room. One advantage of this hospital was that each floor had the same layout; once you got familiar with one floor, you wouldn't get lost. 0

I looked around but didn't see Jun Chong anywhere. "Could he have already gone in? I should hurry!" 0

Entering the Hot Water Room, I flipped the switch to turn on the hot water. Suddenly, a red figure darted past the door, startling me. I froze for a moment, waiting to see if anything else would happen. Just as I was about to twist the lid back on my cup and head out, a small red figure appeared at the doorway, tilting its head and smiling at me. 0

My eyes lit up. "Is that you?" 0

"Big Sister." 0

The little girl was adorable, though her dark pupils took up a large part of her eyes, giving her an eerie appearance. Under the lights, her face looked particularly pale. 0

But she had a shadow, so I felt reassured. 0

"What are you doing here?" I squatted down as she ran up to me, her smile sweet. "I couldn't sleep, so I came out for a walk." 0

"Your parents will worry about you. You should go back!" 0

"I'm lost," the little girl said, lifting her chubby face to look at me. "Can you take me home, sister?" 0

I thought to myself that she lived on the same floor as Qi Qi, and it wasn't far from here—just a quick elevator ride. So I agreed, "But sister needs to go back to get a cup first. Can you wait for a moment?" 0

"Okay." 0

I smiled and reached out to pat her hair. Although the hospital had air conditioning, she still felt very cold, and her hair seemed stiff, as if it had been frozen. 0

"Sister, you have to come back!" 0

"Yes, I'll be right back." I stood up and took the cup to the break room. At that time, Chu Fan hadn't arrived yet, and I hadn't seen Jun Chong either. It felt awkward to ask about them, so after handing the cup to Mom Lin, I said to Ling Feng, "I met a little girl who got lost. I'm taking her back to her parents' room and will return soon. If you see Chu Fan, tell him not to worry." 0

"A little girl?" Ling Feng looked suspiciously behind me. "Where did she come from? Should we call security?" 0

I turned back to glance outside; the little girl was quietly standing on the other side of the door. When she saw me look back, she smiled slightly and pointed towards the Nurse Station before running over. 0

I smiled faintly and said, "It's fine; I just met a little girl in Professor Qi's room. I'll be back quickly." 0

"Alright then! Be careful on your way back. If anything happens, just call me." 0

"Okay." 0

I turned around and closed the door behind me as I walked outside. The little girl ran over and grabbed my hand; her touch was icy, sending a shiver through me. 0

As we passed by the Nurse Station, I suddenly heard two nurses speaking in hushed tones. 0

"We just received news that a woman died on the Tenth Floor Surgery earlier. Apparently, blood soaked an entire bed. The key point is that her husband was sleeping beside her at the time! He woke up because of the wetness from the blood; otherwise, he wouldn't have known! The two patients in the same room were so scared they requested to go home; they'd rather stay in the hallway than go back." 0

"Ah? How come I didn't know?" 0

"When I was transferring rooms just now, I ran into a security guard who came up to patrol and sign in. He mentioned it. Tsk tsk, they say that scene was quite terrifying, and the blood is still flowing without drying up!" 0

To Molin, the restlessness on the Tenth Floor Surgery was due to a fierce Reaper Ghost, which made me feel powerless. Why must ghosts kill? 0

Jun Chong once said that humans have their world, and ghosts have theirs. Aside from the differences in systems, they are essentially the same—there are good and bad among them. However, the ghosts that linger in the human realm, aside from wandering spirits, usually have specific purposes. 0

Taking a deep breath, I prepared to leave but noticed the little girl staring wide-eyed at the nurse at the Nurse Station, as if she had absorbed everything that had just been said. 0

The little girl wasn't crying. I had a feeling that the deceased woman might be her mother. If that were the case, I couldn't let her go back like this; it would cause significant harm to her psyche. 0

Before I could utter any comforting words, I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my left ring finger. The little girl abruptly jerked her hand away from mine and dashed toward the elevator. I quickly chased after her. 0

The elevator area was pitch black, with the numbers on the elevator still stuck on the first and seventh floors. 0

"Did she run up the stairs?" 0

Without thinking twice, I pressed the elevator button and headed toward the Tenth Floor. 0

As I pressed the floor number again, I felt pain in my finger once more. Looking down, I realized my left ring finger had been scratched at some point. A drop of blood flowed from my fingertip and fell to the ground, landing precisely on a red Little Bug, which vanished without a trace. 0
