When I arrived at the Tenth Floor, even the police were there, along with a number of family members and patients watching. Among the crowd, I did not spot the little girl. The man, presumably her husband, was trembling as he sat at the Nurse Station, quietly weeping. 0

"Anxin, what are you looking for?" 0

Qi Zhi pulled me aside from the crowd. I anxiously replied, "Have you seen a girl about six years old, wearing a red skirt? I'm afraid she might be the deceased's daughter. I'm worried that seeing her mother dead will be too much for her." 0

"I've been here since the incident and haven't seen the girl you mentioned. Maybe you’re mistaken?" 0

"That would be for the best." I scanned the area again and indeed found no sign of her. "Professor Qi, what exactly happened? This doesn't look like a natural death at all." 0

Qi Zhi glanced at the man being questioned by the police, who kept shaking his head and claiming ignorance. She softly said to me, "The man felt something was off when he woke up and found his wife dead beside him. Her carotid artery had been cut, and blood soaked the entire bed. The other patients and family members in the same room didn’t hear any cries for help. However, the police are not ruling out suicide because this woman had severe depression." 0

I stood at the doorway, peering inside through the small opening. The police were collecting evidence; the woman lay on the bed, her body surrounded by a pool of red blood that stained the white sheets, continuously dripping. 0

"After a person dies, blood can still flow for a while, but she has been dead for almost an hour now, and blood is still flowing. From a medical perspective, this is absolutely impossible unless her heart hasn't stopped and her circulatory system is still functioning. However, the doctor performed an Electrocardiogram on her and it showed a flat line, so this situation is very strange." 0

After Qi Zhi explained this to me, I too found it odd. Even if her carotid artery was severed, it shouldn't have resulted in this much blood. The unnatural redness of it made me feel like there was something more to it; all that blood seemed to have accumulated in one spot on the bed without spilling everywhere. 0

Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my finger as a drop of blood seeped out and fell to the ground. Just like in the elevator, it landed on a little bug that scurried away quickly. 0

A sudden pain shot through my chest as if something had exploded inside me, spreading throughout my body. 0

Suddenly someone grabbed my hand. I turned to see Molin. 0

He pulled me aside to a different spot and whispered, "It's Reaper Ghost. By the time I sensed its presence, it was already too late. Look under the bed." Following Molin's pointing, I looked down and was astonished to see a large yellow circle surrounding the bed. As more blood pooled around it, the circle subtly emitted a glow, allowing me to see the intricate patterns drawn on its surface. "What is that?" 0

"Blood Sacrifice Array," Molin explained. "It's a ritual using blood to open a path to the Underworld Ghost Path. To activate this formation, two people are required." 0

"Two people?" 0
"Don't interrupt, let me finish," Molin said, clearly displeased with my interjection. I pouted; if it weren't for my curiosity, I wouldn't even bother with him. "Go on." 0

Molin raised an eyebrow, clearly pleased with my attitude. He cleared his throat lightly and continued, "The first person is this woman—she's a pure Yin woman, and it's best if she has had a miscarriage. Such a woman has a heavier Yin energy than ordinary women, and the blood she sheds is more effective. The one who sets up the formation must collect all of her blood and pour it into the array. However, no matter how large the wound on her body, as long as her heart stops, the blood will coagulate. To ensure all the blood is collected, the one setting up the formation will implant blood-sucking insects inside her. You see that unnatural blood? It's actually from those blood-sucking insects." 0

I have a phobia of clusters; just thinking about so many bugs gathering together made my skin crawl. I pointed at him and said, "Stop, skip the bugs and continue." 0

Molin looked at me mischievously. "So you’re afraid of bugs?" 0

"Not really, just too many of them." I caught sight of his smiling eyes and realized he was still annoyed about being tricked by Jun Chong with that string of Soul-Calling Bells. I lifted my chin defiantly and said, "Are you going to talk or not? If not, I'm leaving." 0

"Wait." Molin grabbed my arm. "Alright, I won't mention the bugs anymore." 0

"Then who is the second person? Her husband?" 0

I glanced over at the Nurse Station; that man didn't seem unusual at all! 0

"Not him," Molin dismissed. "It's someone else—this person is key. First, she must have had contact with the one setting up the formation and have blood-sucking insects buried within her for two drops of blood. This is a trigger; it works like a medicinal catalyst that needs to be introduced before the Blood Sacrifice Array is completed. Generally, this person's blood has a deadly attraction to all beings except humans; it can be considered one of the best supplements for cultivation, especially for ghosts—it's a holy medicine for healing wounds. However, such individuals are extremely rare, which is why the Blood Sacrifice Array hasn't appeared in a long time. I've only encountered it once during my studies in illusions; this is the first time I've seen it in reality." 0

" Molin." I swallowed hard, my ears buzzing and my head feeling like it had been struck hard; I tugged at Molin's hand and said, "When I came up earlier, I pricked my hand and dropped a drop of blood on a red insect. Just now, something similar happened—the insect ran into that room's Blood Sacrifice Array." 0

Molin's eyes widened suddenly as he pointed at me in disbelief. "You—you can't be that kind of person!" 0

"I don't know; my blood has always been ordinary!" 0

"Ah—you're actually—" 0

Molin looked at me with a mix of surprise and shock, his expression incredulous. His voice rose in volume, drawing disapproving glances from medical staff who gestured for him to lower his voice. 0

"What is it?" 0

"She's nothing special." Chu Fan stepped out from the crowd and pulled me into his embrace, putting some distance between us and Molin. "Her blood is just like an ordinary person's; what you referred to as the Second Type of Person—I just saw them being carried away outside." 0

After hearing Chu Fan's words, Molin thought for a moment and scratched his head, looking at me suspiciously for a while before chuckling lightly. "I don't think she looks like one either." 0

"However, this Blood Sacrifice Array is ultimately a threat. I need to go back and find out how to shut it down." 0

Molin suddenly looked into the room, where the woman's blood had abruptly stopped flowing, all of it seeping into the array on the ground, disappearing without a trace. 0

A female police officer rushed out, trembling as she approached the Nurse Station's head. "Boss, that woman suddenly shriveled up, and there's not a drop of blood left in the room." 0

The murmurs in the crowd grew louder; many older individuals claimed it was the work of the Reaper Ghost, insisting it was not human-made. This left everyone feeling anxious, and in the middle of the night, some suggested discharging themselves to go home. Even the chief on duty couldn't withstand the pressure and had no choice but to report to the hospital director. 0

"It's done." Chu Fan whispered in my ear, suddenly pulling me outside. "Molin, you come too." 0

The three of us exited the ward together when my phone suddenly rang. It was Ling Feng calling, excitedly informing me that Lin You had woken up. The doctor also announced that she had passed the critical period and was the first patient he had encountered who regained consciousness so quickly after a severe brain injury. 0

After exchanging a few words with Ling Feng, I ended the call and walked over to Chu Fan, wrapping my arms around him. I knew Lin You's survival was entirely thanks to Jun Chong. "Thank you. I really appreciate it." 0

Chu Fan raised his hand to ruffle my hair. "I told you that as long as it's your wish, no matter how difficult it is, I will agree. In return, you need to stay by my side." 0

I smiled and made a pinky promise with him. "It's a deal." 0

Molin watched with discomfort and was about to speak when Chu Fan's phone rang—it was Mother Chu calling. 0

Molin pulled me aside and whispered, "Have you really fallen in love with a ghost?" 0

"And if I have?" 0

"Romance between humans and ghosts has never ended well throughout history. Ghost Marriage is even worse; your fate would be nothing but death. You're still so young with so many paths ahead of you; don't think like this. If he's threatening you, don't worry. Once this matter is resolved, I'll take you back to see my master. My master will definitely have a way to break the Ghost Marriage." 0

Break the Ghost Marriage? 0

I wasn't sure if that would be good or not, but I felt there was no need for it. 0

If I loved him, then I loved him. If I cared too much about everything else, I would only lose more. 0

I didn't care whether he was human or ghost; I only cared about his love for me and his tender heart. As long as those two existed, even if it meant walking through fire and water or ultimately being unable to be together, it would be worth it. 0

As I walked to the Underworld Road and prepared to drink the Forgetfulness Soup, I could say without regret, "Jun Chong, I love you." 0

"You look like you've been bewitched by a ghost," Molin glanced at Chu Fan and whispered to me. "Although I still don't know what his true form is, just remember, never get involved with him." 0

My face flushed instantly as Molin continued, "Because if you do, his Eerie Aura will invade your body too much, and solving the Ghost Marriage will become hopeless. My intuition tells me that this ghost is anything but ordinary." 0

"Facts also tell me that you, as a Taoist, have the terrible quality of ruining other people's marriages," Chu Fan pulled me away from Molin. "It's too late today; Anxin needs rest. We'll head back now and wait for my notification tomorrow." 0

"Hey, hey, hey, Chu Fan, what do you mean? I'm not your Servant. Do you even want the Soul-Calling Bell anymore? How dare you speak to me like that? Do you believe I won't give it to you?" 0

Molin was clearly displeased with Chu Fan's command and didn't care whether we were in a hospital or not; his voice was loud. 0

Chu Fan stopped in his tracks and shot a glance at Molin, instantly radiating a chilling aura. "The things I want must be given to me; unless you want to die." 0

Molin shuddered and clenched his fists. I tugged at Chu Fan's sleeve and said, "Don't be like that; after all, we need his Soul-Calling Bell this time. What if he gets angry and refuses to give it?" 0

"If he had the ability to stop this matter himself, he wouldn't have come to you. In other words, without you in this situation, he wouldn't be able to complete it. So no matter what, he'll cling to us and squeeze us dry; it doesn't matter—he'll still come back for more." 0

I felt cold sweat on my forehead as Chu Fan smirked, looking quite pleased. But in the next moment, his expression darkened, and he tightened his grip on my arm. 0

I could sense his anger but had no idea why he was upset. 0
