The scene depicted by the little girl was a bedroom, where a man lay asleep on the bed. 0

He breathed evenly, his complexion healthy, yet he was undoubtedly in a state of prayer. 0

At that moment, the little girl's arms elongated in an eerie manner, her claws sharp and glistening, pressing against the man's chest. With a slight force, he curled up in pain but did not awaken, red blood seeping from his white nightgown, creating a shocking contrast of white and red. 0

The little girl tightened her grip like she was catching a fish, lifting the man effortlessly. She smiled sweetly at me, and in the blink of an eye, she appeared right in front of me. 0

I instinctively took a step back and saw the man slightly open his eyes, pain etched across his features. “Anxin.” 0

His weak voice reminded me that he was hospitalized because of injuries sustained due to me. Now I was once again entangled in this event, and a wave of guilt surged within me. 0

Though I considered that perhaps the little girl was deceiving my eyes with an illusion, I couldn’t take the risk. After all, betting wrong could cost a life. 0

“Big Sister, have you made your decision?” The little girl giggled, her mood seemingly bright as she revealed blood-stained teeth that were sharp and elongated. Suddenly, her ears perked up as she looked behind me, her smile growing wider. “The appetizer has arrived.” 0

I turned to see a couple sneaking down the hallway, holding paper money and candles, murmuring as they walked. “Heaven bless, my child must return safely. Heaven bless, child safe.” 0

I recognized them as the couple who had burned paper money in this hospital room on the thirteenth day, claiming their child had visited them in a dream. Remembering their annual ritual made it clear that they too were doomed today. 0

Just as I was about to intervene, the little girl suddenly released the man and joyfully ran towards the couple. Her movements were light and graceful, her hair dancing with the wind. A chilling sensation pierced through me. 0

Before I could voice my concerns, I watched in horror as the little girl reached into each of their chests with one hand and pulled out their hearts. Blood gushed forth, splattering everywhere as the couple fell to their knees in shock. The delighted smile on the little girl's face remained even as their pupils dimmed. 0

“Take these to Great-Grandma. Though they may not be as delicious as a child's heart, they will suffice.” 0

With a casual toss of her hands, she discarded the two hearts. In an instant, her shadow flickered and they vanished from sight. Without mercy, she grabbed each of them and threw the couple into the Blood Sacrifice Array room. 0

Suddenly, the Blood Sacrifice Array's golden light retreated, and the red light surged, casting a warm glow all around. I struggled to lift Qi Yi, disregarding everything as I rushed toward the room where Molin was. 0

"It's too late; I have to make it in time, Molin —" 0

"Is Big Sister asking the Stinky Taoist to help harm me?" 0

The voice, so close, made my feet feel as heavy as lead, freezing me in place. The chill from Frost seeped through the fabric and into my bones, penetrating my limbs. 0

I turned my head stiffly. The person I was supposed to be supporting was Qi Yi, but now it had transformed into a little girl. She grinned widely, her exposed teeth gleaming with a bloodthirsty red and sharpness, as if she might bite at any moment. 0

"No—" 0

Instinctively, I reached up to pull out the hairpin from my head but found nothing there. A wave of cold washed over my heart. "Where's the hairpin?" 0

Everything around me was murky; I had no idea where it might have fallen. 0

At that moment, Molin heard the commotion and rushed out of the room. Upon seeing me, he shouted, "Anxin!" 0

" Molin." I blinked at him, signaling that the little girl was right beside me. 0

Molin held a Peach Wood Sword in one hand and formed a seal with the other, locking onto the little girl's position. With a shout, he declared, "Vengeful Spirit, let her go; otherwise, don't blame me for being rude." 0

"What if I don't let go?" 0

"Take this!" 0

When Molin got serious, he showed no mercy. As soon as he finished speaking, he muttered something under his breath. With a swift motion of his wrist, the Peach Wood Sword glowed brightly. He pierced it through the Purple Talisman and aimed it rapidly toward the little girl. 0

"Hmph, just you wait." 0

The little girl scoffed and raised her hand to block, but the combined power of the Peach Wood Sword and the purple talisman was formidable. It sent her flying back a considerable distance. She struggled to resist, and they were locked in a stalemate. 0

At that moment, Molin once again formed a hand seal, and a golden rope suddenly appeared in his hand. He held the rope, muttering something under his breath, and then the rope seemed to have a will of its own as it extended toward the little girl. 0

"Is that the Eight Character Binding Ghost Rope?" 0

Seeing it for the first time, the little girl turned and ran. However, she was struck by the Peach Wood Sword, letting out a scream as her movements slowed, and she was ensnared by the Binding Ghost Rope. 0

" Molin, what is this?" 0

"This is the Eight Character Binding Ghost Rope. Most ghosts are transformed from dead humans, so there are eight characters involved. The Binding Ghost Rope, as its name suggests, is a rope that binds ghosts. Combined with the eight characters, it can capture them no matter how far they try to escape." 0

"Then why didn't you catch her earlier? Why wait until today?" 0

I was quite surprised by this. 0

Molin gave an awkward smile while the little girl sneered. "The only flaw of this rope is that it's too short; it can only capture within a certain range. Every time he got close, I managed to slip away. That's why I needed you to lure me into that room so he could use the rope to trap me and seal me within the formation, right, Stinky Taoist?" 0

"I didn't expect you to know so much at such a young age. Why not reincarnate instead of harming others?" 0

"That's none of your business." Although the little girl was bound and unable to move, her eyes twinkled with mischief as she smiled. "But having someone accompany me to the grave isn't so bad." 0

Just then, a sudden cry for help pierced through the air. I turned to see Qi Zhi had fallen at the doorway of the Blood Sacrifice Array room. Many black hands reached out from the red light of the formation, grabbing him haphazardly and sealing his mouth and nose as they dragged him toward the array. He struggled desperately but to no avail. 0

Clearly, Molin also noticed this. A Purple Talisman shot toward the black hands from an unknown source. Upon contact with the talisman, those hands let out a hissing sound and transformed into black smoke, retreating entirely. 0

"Cough cough," Qi Zhi covered his mouth and nose as he coughed incessantly, black blood seeping through his fingers. His body trembled violently; sores began to appear on his hands and face as his muscles started to peel away, revealing stark white bones beneath. 0

"This is bad; he's been poisoned." 0

"Poison?" 0

"Miasma." 0

I had heard of Miasma; it was a deadly substance, almost certain to kill anyone who came into contact with it. "Do you have a way to save him?" 0

"I don't know. Miasma has been spreading throughout the Underworld Ghost Path. Unless you're from the Underworld, anyone who comes into contact with it is doomed." Molin rested his chin on his hand, thinking for a moment before handing me the rope he was holding. "I'll go take a look; you keep an eye on her." 0

"Okay." 0

As I watched the little girl subdued by Molin with the Binding Ghost Rope, my concern for Qi Zhi grew stronger. 0

Molin approached Qi Zhi, keeping some distance between them. He glanced around for a while and then leaned in to peek into the room containing the Blood Sacrifice Array. From my position, I couldn't see much more inside, so I had no idea what was happening. 0

But more and more black mist seeped into the corridor, bringing not only an eerie chill but also a sense of life-and-death panic. 0

"Anxin, where's your My Ghost Husband?" Molin knelt on one leg, turning his back to Qi Zhi as he looked at me. "I can't handle this right now; we can only rely on him. If he arrives quickly, there might still be hope for this person." 0

"Jun Chong?" It suddenly dawned on me that he existed, but Jun Chong was injured. Could he still deal with the power of the Blood Sacrifice Array? And there was also the deadly Miasma in there. 0

But Qi Zhi was also pitiful; he had put himself in danger twice for me. Moreover, this Blood Sacrifice Array was like a ticking time bomb—opening the Underworld Ghost Path would definitely harm the human realm. 0

Just as I hesitated, I looked up to see Qi Zhi, who had been barely hanging on, suddenly sit up straight. A smooth black stone appeared in his palm, and an ominous feeling surged within me. " Molin, be careful—" 0

Unfortunately, my warning came too late. I watched in disbelief as Qi Zhi's fingers came together like a weapon and swiftly struck toward Molin's back, targeting his heart. 0

Molin bent forward as blood spewed from his mouth. The light in his wide black eyes dimmed instantly. In the blink of an eye, he collapsed to the ground, motionless. 0

"Qi Zhi, what are you doing? He's Molin!" 0

A surge of mixed emotions welled up inside me, and tears streamed down my face uncontrollably. My legs gave way, and I collapsed to the ground. 0

The figure of the little girl praying gradually shrank and disappeared, transforming into the shape of a young girl. I stared in shock, my eyes wide with disbelief. Then I looked again at the little girl who had been bound, and with a loud "bang," she turned into a piece of paper with her birth date written on it, fluttering down to the ground. 0

"You, you—" 0

"Hahaha..." The little girl laughed maniacally, stepping on Molin's back, her shadow cast on the ground. "You dare to challenge me? You're still too naive, Stinky Taoist. Your downfall today is the result of your own cleverness." 0

I glanced around but saw no sign of the praying figure. Suddenly, everything clicked into place; both Molin and I had been deceived. The little girl had orchestrated this entire scenario just to bring him down. 0

"Big Sister, I will remember you because without your blood, I could never succeed. Although I've waited seven years, it has all been worth it." 0

The little girl walked toward me step by step, her gaze no longer gentle or sweet but cold and ruthless. She grabbed me and dragged me to the Blood Sacrifice Array. 0

At that moment, the Blood Sacrifice Array was entirely soaked in crimson. A black Malice mixed with thick Miasma surged toward me, its touch like a knife cutting into my skin. 0

"Today, the Underworld Ghost Path must be opened. Lord of the Abyss has said that as long as I do this, he will help restore my grandmother's human form so she will no longer suffer. We are willing to pay any price to welcome back the Lord." 0

Her sharp nails carved long wounds into my arms, blood gushing forth. Yet I felt no pain; instead, an extraordinary sting coursed through my body, eroding my nerves. 0

"Lord of the Abyss, heh heh!" Suddenly, a chilling wind swept behind me, a cool sensation piercing from my head down to my feet. As I turned around, two hands pressed down on my shoulders. "I don't recall ever seeing you before." 0
