Entering the "For You in This Life" photo studio again, I felt no sense of surprise, even when Shizui pulled me upstairs. The stairs felt lifeless, causing me no discomfort at all. 0

I found it strange; the first time I came here, the feeling had been overwhelmingly strong. 0

"What are you daydreaming about? Not impressed?" Shizui chuckled, tilting his chin slightly. 0

I looked down at the artistic photos aside from the ID picture and nodded. "They look good." 0

"But your heart doesn't seem happy." 0

Shizui stared at me. With his back to the sunlight, his expression appeared less gentle and refined than I had seen before. 0

At that moment, Shizui's gaze was deep, his cool yet rosy lips slightly pursed, creating a stark contrast with his overly pale skin. It reminded me of Lin You from last night; she had looked just like this. 0

I tightened my grip on the photo in my hand, my back straightened stiffly. After a pause, I asked, "Has Xiao You really not come here since that day?" 0

"No," Shizui replied as he sat down beside me and placed the photo into a bag. "From your expression, it seems like you had an argument?" 0

"I don't know." I stared blankly ahead; the view here was wide open, showcasing the bustling sights of the commercial street. "After we took the photos that day, we had a fight, and I haven't seen her since. She doesn't reply to my messages either. I have no idea if something happened to her." 0

Recalling the words of that stranger from last night, if that person really was Lin You, I didn't know how to accept it. 0

A cool sensation brushed against the back of my hand and then covered it. Shizui gently patted my hand. "If something happened, someone would definitely contact you. The silence means nothing's wrong; maybe she's just been busy lately!" 0

"Yeah." I nodded, contemplating whether to ask Lingfeng about Lin You's situation when I visited his house later. It would be best if he could help me arrange a meeting with her. 0

It became much easier to verify if the person from last night was Lin You. 0

Suddenly, my phone rang; it was a call from Molin. "Anxin, where are you? Hurry to the Startup Community; I'm waiting for you at the entrance. I just found out that someone received a Death Photo, and the time of death is in one hour. So you need to get here quickly." 0

"I understand, I'll be there right away." I hung up the phone, grabbed my things, and hurriedly said to Shizui, "I have something to take care of, so I'm leaving now." 0

"You look really anxious. Where are you going?" 0

"To the Startup Community; my friend needs me for something." 0

"I'm heading that way too. I'll give you a ride; it'll be faster." 0

I thought about it and realized that time was of the essence, so I didn't refuse. Besides, Ling Feng's house was just down the street next to the Startup Community, so it was close. 0

This was my first time in Shizui's car, and a faint Blood Taste lingered inside, creating an unsettling atmosphere. I noticed him frown slightly as he got in, his lips pressed tightly together. "Sorry, there's still a bit of fishy smell left from what I bought this morning." 0

"It's fine." 0

At this time of day, going to the Startup Community would usually be crowded, so I asked Shizui to take a side road to make it quicker. 0

While we were waiting at a traffic light, Shizui suddenly grabbed my hand and pointed towards a couple on a nearby side street. "Look over there." 0

Following his gaze, my eyes widened in shock, and I straightened up in my seat. 0

At the corner by the wall, Lin You was tightly holding onto a man, pinning him against the wall. 0

The road was not busy during the day, and hardly anyone passed by, so young couples liked to steal a kiss, knowing no one would see them. 0

Such behavior wouldn’t have been surprising in the past, but what shocked me was that the man kissing Lin You was none other than Molin. 0

The most critical part was that at this very moment, Ling Feng happened to turn the corner from the other side and witnessed the scene, causing the bag he was holding to slip from his grasp and fall to the ground. 0

In the next second, he rushed over, forcefully pulling the two apart, his hard fist swinging mercilessly toward Molin's face. 0

“Oh no, something's wrong.” 0

Without thinking twice, I unbuckled my seatbelt and dashed out. My heart raced wildly, and my eyelids twitched; I had a feeling this coincidence was anything but accidental. 0

“Dare to touch my woman? You must want to die.” 0

Ling Feng was an athlete and a basketball player; his height and strength were undeniable, making him quite a fighter. In contrast, Molin appeared particularly frail against him. Ling Feng grabbed him by the collar and delivered a punch that sent him crashing against the wall with a loud thud. 0

Molin wobbled on his feet, clearly unable to defend himself. Before he could even stand up straight, Ling Feng seized him again by his clothes and threw another punch. Two blows left Molin bleeding from his nose; his weakened eyelids barely lifted as he collapsed helplessly to the ground without even attempting to fight back. 0

I halted in my tracks, suspicion creeping into my mind. Even if Molin was weak against Ling Feng, he shouldn’t have been completely defenseless. He looked as if he had been drugged or something similar. 0

Meanwhile, the instigator Lin You stood off to the side with a look of grievance on her face, yet there was a hint of cold sarcasm at the corners of her mouth. A chill ran down my spine; that feeling intensified within me. But at that moment, stopping their fight was paramount because I knew Ling Feng’s temper—once he got angry, it could turn deadly. 0

“Ling Feng, enough! Stop!” 0

I rushed forward without hesitation and positioned myself between them. Molin stumbled and fell to the ground while Ling Feng’s punch came too fast; seeing me rush in made him lose some of his force. Just as it seemed his fist would collide with my face, a flash of black suddenly appeared and intercepted the blow. 0

Shizui gently released Ling Feng's fist and smiled politely, "It's true that young people love to fight, but the difference in strength can be deadly. I assume you wouldn't want to get into legal trouble over this, would you?" 0

"What does it matter to you?" 0

"It may not concern me, but you almost hit Anxin, and I cannot allow that." 0

Shizui stood in front of me, and though I couldn't see his expression, I noticed Ling Feng suddenly take a step back, his momentum significantly diminished. 0

At that moment, Molin lay limp on the ground, his face pale and bloodied, a sight that was truly alarming as he coughed repeatedly. 0

" Molin, are you okay? Molin, please don't scare me! Molin!" Seeing Molin like this brought tears to my eyes. He was breathing heavily, looking very unwell. I quickly dialed for an ambulance. "Ling Feng, how could you hit him so hard? Even if you're angry, you shouldn't resort to violence. Don't you think it's despicable to attack someone who can't even respond?" 0

"I'm despicable? Gu Anxin, your friend forcibly kissed my woman! Who's the real despicable one here?" 0

Ling Feng was clearly furious. Meanwhile, Lin You suddenly covered her face with her hands and began to cry, her voice choked with emotion. "It's all my fault. I shouldn't have listened to Anxin. Boo-hoo." 0

I found Lin You's reaction strange; hearing her say this made my heart skip a beat. Then I heard Ling Feng ask, "Anxin, what did you say to Xiao You? I noticed something was off when Xiao You was hospitalized last time. Did you two plan today's events?" 0

"I—" 0

Before I could finish my sentence, Lin You kindly interjected for me. "It's my fault. Anxin asked me to come here, saying Molin had something for me. I didn't suspect anything and then he suddenly kissed me. I fought back with all my strength but couldn't escape, and then everything happened as you saw." 0

"Gu Anxin, I really misjudged you. I didn't expect you to be this kind of person. Knowing that Xiao You and I were reconciling, you still chose to sabotage us. It's clear how you've been undermining our relationship behind our backs. Let me tell you, we are no longer friends from now on; mind your own business regarding my affairs. Xiao You, let's go." 0

With that angry remark, Ling Feng took Lin You in his arms and stormed off. When I saw Lin You glance back at me, there was no trace of grievance in her eyes; instead, she looked quite pleased with herself. 0

My heart ached. Why had Lin You turned out like this? 0

"Stop daydreaming. We're not far from the hospital. I'll drive you there; he needs immediate treatment," Shizui's words snapped me back to reality. I wiped my tears and nodded, helping him carry Molin into the car. Seeing Molin's bloodied face made my tears flow again. 0

" Molin, you can't be hurt! If you die, how am I supposed to explain it to your master?" 0

"Don't act like you know my master," Molin suddenly opened his eyes, impatiently swatting my hand aside. His words were slurred, but he was still sharp-tongued. "And even if I die, it's too embarrassing for a woman like you to cry over me. Get a beauty instead." 0

"Get lost!" 0

When I saw the clarity in Molin's eyes, I realized he had just been messing with me. Furious, I pinched his cheek, causing him to yelp in pain. "Crazy woman, let go!" 0

"Who are you calling crazy? I really thought you were going to die! How can you still joke around after getting beaten up so badly?" 0

"If it weren't for that, how could I have successfully pulled off my plan with Ling Feng?" 0

I paused, my grip on his cheek loosening as my mind struggled to catch up. "What do you mean?" 0

Molin narrowed his eyes and glanced at Shizui, who was driving. He spoke slowly and clearly, "I mean grabbing that Evil Spirit or Zombie." 0
