Long fingers slowly caressed through the fabric, and where they touched, the coldness seemed to ignite a lingering warmth. I was silenced by him, letting out only faint gasps. 0

My gaze fell upon the White Little Thing, and as my drifting thoughts suddenly returned, just when I intended to push Jun Chong away, his large hand reached in, pinching a grape bead as he softly chuckled in my ear, "What's wrong?" 0

"Let’s go into the room." 0

I managed to squeeze out those two words. Although I was no longer exceptionally shy, seeing Tian Yuan's small eyes today made me feel as if I had been caught red-handed, overwhelming shame washing over me. Yet the tone hidden within those four words only added to my embarrassment and anger. 0

Jun Chong's laughter grew louder, tinged with a natural arrogance. "I just wanted to tease you; I didn't expect you to be so eager. I would hate to go against your wishes, but I'm quite exhausted today. Perhaps next time." 0

While his words were true enough, his expression told a different story. The door was closed gently yet firmly and locked behind him. 0

His eyes sparkled brightly, the darkness around them shimmering like stars, reflecting my flushed face, the slight reveal of my chest, my fair skin, perfect collarbones, and hard chest—making it hard not to sigh at his allure. Even knowing that his words were meant to provoke me, I found myself unwilling to voice a refusal. 0

With both hands reaching out, I wrapped my arms around his neck, my face burning as I stood on tiptoe and raised an eyebrow in threat. "If you don’t give it to me, I’ll go find Qi Zhi." 0

His narrowed eyes slowly revealed a hint of menace. His cool fingertips unceremoniously lifted my chin, and the intensity in his gaze was chilling. The corners of his red lips curled up but not into a smile. 0

"Qi Zhi." He coldly uttered those two words while raising an eyebrow. His other hand moved to my waist. "Do you want him?" 0

I squinted slightly, my brows arching as I smirked defiantly. "He treats me well; perhaps he’s gentler than you. If I want him, he definitely won’t refuse." 0

"Oh." 0

The single word caught me off guard; I didn’t expect Jun Chong to suddenly let go. The displeasure that had lingered also dissipated with that action. 0

He walked to the edge of the bed, sitting with his legs crossed, gazing up at the moonlit sky. His calm words, like a glass of plain water, concealed a more intense killing intent. 0

"Then it’s best to kill him cleanly and extract the memories of him from your mind, crushing them in the process." 0

Jun Chong's expression was devoid of emotion, but the sinister look in his eyes revealed his inner turmoil. "Or we could just cut him down and strip him of his abilities. Just based on that face of his, I imagine many of those Male Ghosts would find him quite appealing." 0

A cool breeze blew through the gauze window, causing me to shiver. If he had suggested killing Qi Yi directly, I would have thought he was just talking nonsense. But the latter—remembering Qi Yi struggling helplessly among a group of Male Ghosts—was a scene I dared not imagine. 0

Chuckling softly, I climbed onto the bed and reached out to embrace him from behind. To my surprise, Jun Chong waved his sleeve, causing me to miss my target entirely, not even allowing me a glimpse of his brows or eyes. "Speak if you have something to say; don’t get handsy with me." 0

Raising an eyebrow at his arrogance, I narrowed my eyes and smiled mischievously. I lunged at him with force, knowing he would dodge. So I pretended to twist my foot and fell toward the ground. Although the carpet cushioned my fall and the bed wasn’t high, I was curious to see if he would feel any pain for me. 0

Jun Chong furrowed his brow as he caught me. Seizing the opportunity, I grabbed onto his clothes tightly, refusing to let go as I climbed up to wrap my arms around his neck like an octopus clinging to its prey. "Ha! You’re still stuck with me now; there’s no way you can shake me off." 0

I looked up at him defiantly, and Jun Chong paused for a moment before breaking into a smile. He lowered his head and playfully nipped my nose, resting our foreheads together. "You little girl, when did you learn such tricks? Daring to deceive me will have serious consequences." 0

"Jun Chong, you’re actually jealous, aren’t you?" Seeing his expression darken further made me even happier. I showered kisses all over his face. "You’re jealous! That makes me so happy! If you’re jealous of me, it means I’m important to you." 0

Jun Chong watched my joyful demeanor, slowly narrowing his eyes. The deep darkness within them held an inscrutable emotion that I couldn’t decipher. After a long pause, he finally spoke. "Yes, you are important—so important that I cannot afford to lose you." 0

Any woman would be thrilled to hear such words from someone like him; however, there was no sense of attachment in his gaze—only an increasingly profound depth that was hard to understand. 0

"But if you angered me tonight, there’s no escaping your fate." 0

Jun Chong released me and let his fingers glide down my clothing from top to bottom, leaving a trail of heat in their wake. "Anxin, you are beautiful." 0

I still couldn't process what had just happened. All the clothes on my body shattered like glass, splitting apart as if blooming flowers, revealing the most exquisite beauty within. With a wave of his hand, Jun Chong made the torn fabric vanish like flying sand. 0

Seeing the astonishment in my eyes, he smiled beautifully, his gaze shimmering with ripples. "My skills are many." 0

Suddenly, I grabbed his hair and lifted his head up. Jun Chong looked at me in confusion. "What’s wrong?" 0

I pointed at myself, pouting as I said, "I just bought this new outfit and wore it only once, and you ruined it! There’s not even a shred left—my money!" 0

I expected him to apologize, but instead, he raised an eyebrow dismissively. "Why do you need clothes when you’re with me?" 0

I couldn't help but admire how oblivious men could be about such matters. I felt like crying without tears. "If I don’t wear clothes, everyone will see me when we go out together. As long as you don’t get jealous, I’m fine with it." 0

"Dream on. If anyone else sees your body, I'll gouge out their eyes and cut them down!" 0

I wrapped my arms around his neck, laughing freely. "Then you better protect me well. As long as you betray me, I’ll leave with someone else. No matter how much I love you, I won’t stay with you." 0

"I, Jun Chong, swear that day will never come." 0

The moonlight was enchanting, and a gentle breeze stirred the air, always hiding the most beautiful things in darkness. Only those who embraced each other would know the feelings stirred by that longing. 0

I leaned against Jun Chong's chest, drawing circles with my fingers over it. He grasped my hand firmly. "Don't move; go to sleep." 0

"I can't sleep." I tilted my head back to look at him; the moon hung high in the sky, growing more beautiful by the moment. "Have you found Little White Pearl?" 0

"I have." With a wave of his large hand, seven identical White Pearls floated in the air, faintly glowing white and adding a splash of color to the darkness. I reached out to touch them but felt the same coldness emanating from them as from Jun Chong before I could get close. 0

"Then we can open the First Seal in fifteen days?" 0

Jun Chong nodded. "Yes, but preparations are necessary." He leaned over and placed a kiss on my forehead. "So I might be busy with Shizui these days. You should go to bed early." 0

"I want to join too." I looked at him with my big, watery eyes, pouting for attention. "I can help." 0

"No." Jun Chong firmly refused. "The First Seal is located at the boundary between this city and the underworld. First, we need to find the location and set up the formation. Secondly, since it's near the entrance to the underworld, there will be many spirits around. Although they can't come out, the negative energy will linger at the border. You carry the Demon Fetus, which makes you even more attractive to them. I don't want you to get hurt, so you can't come near until everything is ready." 0

"Then on the fifteenth day, you can't leave me behind." I tightened my grip on his fingers and held my other hand against my chest. "I want to see you open the First Seal with my own eyes." 0

Jun Chong lowered his gaze at my actions, a charming smirk appearing on his lips as he raised an eyebrow and leaned closer. "Then it depends on how well you please me." 0

I didn't wake up until the afternoon of the next day, feeling as if I had just gone through an intense workout—my body was sore and stiff. After finally getting up and taking a hot shower, I felt much better. 0

As I dried my hair, I walked outside. "Jun Chong." 0

At home, Jun Chong kept the lights dimmed, only a soft yellow lamp illuminating the room. I saw him sitting on the sofa with his arms crossed and legs propped up, while Tian Yuan crouched timidly beside him. When Tian Yuan lifted his chin slightly, he trembled as if he were a subject before a ruler. 0

I hurried over, and upon seeing me, Tian Yuan turned his head as if to leap into my arms but was stopped by Jun Chong's sharp reprimand. His expression darkened, an aura of menace surrounding him. "Try moving again." 0

"No bullying little animals." Ignoring his warning, I bent down and picked up Tian Yuan. "Tian Yuan doesn't need to be afraid; I'm here." 0

Tian Yuan's small body curled up in my embrace. When Jun Chong suddenly noticed the bathrobe wrapped around me along with Tian Yuan's head peeking out, his brow furrowed, and a chilling aura enveloped the room as the temperature dropped significantly. 0
