The moonlight washed over the empty streets of the Royal Capital as Ye Huan walked alone down the center of the road, quickly approaching the city gate. Meanwhile, not far behind him, in a narrow alley, a crowd of black-clad figures stood silently, their eyes fixed on Ye Huan's position, as if they were waiting for him to step out of the gate before making their move. 0

At that moment, Ye Huan was unaware of the situation behind him. Upon reaching the City Gate, he handed over the proof of identity from the Ye Family to the City Guard. After a thorough inspection by the guards, Ye Huan stepped through the gate and began walking briskly northward. 0

Suddenly, a faint sound echoed in the air. Neither the guards nor Ye Huan noticed as several Iron Claws were thrown onto the towering thirty-meter walls of the capital. 0

Countless black-clad figures swiftly climbed up the ropes hanging from the Iron Claws. Once they reached the top of the wall, they replicated their actions by throwing down more ropes towards the outside of the city walls, one by one descending along these ropes and stealthily following Ye Huan's path. 0

"Hey hey ha hey, quickly use Nunchaku, hmm hmm ha hey..." As he walked, Ye Huan's singing suddenly filled the empty official road, with a Desert Eagle gripped firmly in his hand. 0

There was no helping it; it was indeed dark outside, and with so few people around beyond the city gates, Ye Huan felt a chill run down his spine. Initially thinking that traveling at night would be pleasant due to the cool weather, he now found himself regretting that decision and resorted to singing to bolster his courage. 0

‘Nunchaku? What is that?’ 0

Not far away, many black-clad individuals dispatched by Long Batian exchanged puzzled glances upon hearing Ye Huan's song. They wondered what a Nunchaku was. Seeing their companions' confused expressions, they collectively decided to abandon their thoughts and instead drew Short Blades from their waists. 0

Each blade measured two feet in length with a sharp tip; every Short Blade was identical, likely forged at the same time. After exchanging signals among themselves, many black-clad figures stealthily approached Ye Huan. 0

Unfortunately for them, at that moment, the moonlight was particularly bright. As these Short Blades were drawn, a multitude of reflections glinted towards Ye Huan. 0

Already feeling uneasy in such circumstances, when he suddenly saw numerous light sources coming from behind him, Ye Huan hurriedly turned around, aiming his Desert Eagle at whatever was there. 0

One... two... three... 0

When Ye Huan finally saw countless black-clad figures standing behind him, he nearly pulled the trigger. Hesitating for a moment, he refrained from doing so and instead summoned an M67 fragmentation Grenade tightly in his grip while shouting loudly, "Who are you?" 0

"Who are we? We are here to take your life!" Now that they had been discovered, these black-clad figures no longer held back. Each one charged toward Ye Huan at incredible speed with their Short Blades drawn, most emanating a milky white sword aura—clearly indicating they were martial artists! 0

‘Damn! So many experts?’ Seeing the milky white glow representing martial artists surrounding him made Ye Huan curse inwardly. Although he had no idea who these black-clad figures were, they had come looking for him. Naturally, he couldn't just sit back and wait for his fate. After firing two shots from his Desert Eagle, he threw the M67 fragmentation Grenade in an elegant arc toward the fastest-running black-clad figures. 0

Boom! 0

With a loud bang, smoke filled the air. Ye Huan seized the opportunity to sprint away. In a one-on-one situation, armed with a Desert Eagle and M67 fragmentation grenades, Ye Huan felt fearless. However, facing a hundred opponents, he wasn't foolish enough to stand still and wait for death. 0

As he ran, Ye Huan summoned his Summoning Book from within himself. One by one, M67 fragmentation grenades were summoned and thrown behind him without a glance back. His movements were mechanical—summon, throw. 0

If Durei IV had been there, he would have marveled at Ye Huan's proficiency in summoning techniques. In just a short time, Ye Huan had summoned no less than a hundred M67 fragmentation grenades without a single failure. Moreover, he summoned multiple grenades at once—two, three, or even more! 0

In the history of the Nine Provinces Continent, there had never been anyone like Ye Huan… 0

Ten minutes later… 0

When Ye Huan reached the foot of a mountain and could run no longer, he finally dared to look back. To his dismay, the official road was riddled with craters from the explosions of grenades, and in the distance, countless figures in black were rushing toward him, sending chills down his spine. 0

Gritting his teeth, Ye Huan resumed running, his mind racing as he thought of how to shake off the pursuing enemies behind him. 0

After running about three hundred meters, the moat surrounding the royal capital came into view. If Ye Huan remembered correctly, there was only one wooden bridge crossing this moat that protected the royal capital… 0

An idea struck him. Ye Huan began summoning again. In roughly twenty seconds, five M67 fragmentation grenades appeared in his hands as he stepped onto the only wooden bridge over the moat. 0

As a moat for the royal capital, this river was one of the widest in all of Huaxia Nation. The wooden bridge spanning it was nearly three hundred meters long, giving Ye Huan ample time. While running across the bridge, he pulled the safety pins from all the fragmentation grenades and tightly bound them together with strips of cloth from his clothing. 0

The moment he stepped off the bridge, Ye Huan yanked one of the grenades' safety pins and hurled it onto the bridge. 0

Boom boom boom… 0

The sound of continuous explosions mixed with the crashing of collapsing wood echoed behind him. Ye Huan turned his head again and nodded in satisfaction; at least several dozen meters of the three-hundred-meter-long wooden bridge had collapsed due to his explosives. Unless these pursuers were sixth-level warriors or above, it would be impossible for them to leap across that distance! 0

Just when Ye Huan thought he could finally relax, the actions of those figures in black surprised him once more. After the bridge was destroyed, most of them chose to jump into the water and swim toward the shore. The remaining black-clad individuals followed suit after seeing their companions' actions. In an instant, what had been an overcrowded wooden bridge became eerily empty while numerous 'floating creatures' appeared in the water… 0

If possible, Ye Huan wished he could crouch by the riverbank with his Desert Eagle and take out these black-clad figures with headshots. However, it was dark; he had no idea how many were coming. If any warrior got too close, even a hundred lives wouldn't be enough for him to escape unscathed. With these thoughts racing through his mind, Ye Huan took off running again—this time his legs felt as heavy as lead. 0

Stamina! No matter how strong Ye Huan's summoner was, his physical condition could never surpass that of those warriors. After a long trek, Ye Huan's stamina had reached its limit. If he kept running, not only would he risk being caught by the men in black, but he might even collapse from exhaustion right there. 0

Glancing around, Ye Huan spotted a dense forest in the distance. He paused for a moment and decided not to continue heading north but instead dashed toward the forest. 0

Experience from television dramas taught Ye Huan that when faced with numerous enemies, using the terrain was the smart move. Fighting head-on would be the height of foolishness, especially since Ye Huan had grenades in hand—perfect equipment for setting traps in various terrains. 0

Once inside the forest, he twisted and turned until he quickly placed a trigger-style modified bomb in the grass at his feet. 0

Though it was called a trigger bomb, Ye Huan had simply tied a long strip of cloth to the pin of an M67 fragmentation grenade. However, if someone accidentally touched the cloth tied to the plants, Ye Huan was confident that this improvised trigger bomb would give those men in black quite a surprise. 0

After setting up this trigger bomb, Ye Huan didn't stop. More M67 fragmentation grenades were modified and either hung from trees or concealed in bushes, filling every corner he passed through. 0

By the time he finished making his seventeenth trigger bomb, Ye Huan could no longer tear his clothes. If he did, he would face the fate of fleeing without any dignity left. Even if he miraculously escaped with his life, he wouldn't have the face to meet anyone again. 0

Boom! 0

After carefully placing the seventeenth trigger bomb, the sound of an M67 fragmentation grenade exploding echoed from afar. Smiling slightly, Ye Huan burst out of the forest and moved steadily northward under the moonlight... 0
