Three people walked along the streets of the small town towards the "Temple of Mercy and Grace," enveloped in silence, with only the sound of their footsteps and the gentle breeze accompanying them.
As they passed by the town's houses, the scenery gradually changed from the familiar town views to the open countryside. Fields and trees replaced the buildings, and the starry night sky became more visible. The only sounds on the road were those of nocturnal life, such as the chirping of insects and the rustling of leaves in the wind.
Li Minghan felt that the atmosphere was too awkward, so he started speaking, trying to ease the tension. He said, "Do you know? Today in history, is the day when a mysterious case occurred!"
Yang Dawei immediately asked excitedly, "Wow! What case is it?"
Li Minghan said mysteriously, "Yes, it's that case."
Li Minghan's eyes became mysterious, and he suddenly broke the silence, saying in a low and dramatic voice, "Today is a day worth commemorating. In history, there was a case called the 'Rocheris Missing Incident.' This story is like a dark and mysterious picture that is unforgettable."
He continued: "The protagonist of the story is a cargo ship named 'Mary Celeste,' which set sail from New York in November 1872, bound for the distant port of Genoa, Italy. On board were the captain, crew, and a family, totaling 11 people."
Li Minghan's eyes sparkled with a mysterious light as he continued, "However, on December 4th, after a month of sailing, a British ship, the 'Dei Gratia,' discovered the Mary Celeste near the Azores in the Atlantic Ocean. This should have been a normal story, but what shocked them was the eerie scene they found when they boarded the ship."
"The supplies and property on board were intact, the sails and masts were as good as new, but the only problem was that there was not a single person. The ship's captain, crew, and the family of 11 had all vanished without a trace. Their clothes, personal belongings, and even the ship's log were all in perfect condition."
Li Minghan's voice sounded like he was speaking of an ancient curse as he continued, "This incident was shocking because no reasonable explanation could be found. There were no signs of a storm, attack, or natural disaster. This led to speculation that mysterious forces or supernatural events may have been involved. However, to this day, the disappearance of the Rocheiris remains an unsolvable mystery, deeply buried in the fog of history."
Li Minghan continued, his voice filled with speculation and conjecture: "However, there are various theories about the 'Disappearance of the Roshireis' with one particularly intriguing perspective being the involvement of supernatural forces."
He paused for a moment, creating a more mysterious atmosphere, and then continued: "Some believe that in a certain area of the Atlantic Ocean, there exists a mysterious vortex that not only swallows ships but also transports everyone into another unknown world. This world is filled with the supernatural and unexplained phenomena."
Yang Dawei listened with great interest and asked, "So, what will happen to those people when they are taken to another world?"
Li Minghan's voice flowed like a mysterious wind on the dark road. His words became more dramatic, as if he were in an ancient legend. Lin Yating and Yang Dawei listened to his narration with great tension.
Li Minghan slowly said, "Legend has it that this vortex leads people into a mysterious dimension where the rules are completely different. In that world, supernatural forces dominate everything, with spirits, ghosts, and sorcery everywhere. Some people are forced to participate in a supernatural game, where they must solve puzzles and defeat monsters in order to have a chance to return to the real world."
His voice was cold and mysterious, as if he were telling a forbidden secret. Yang Dawei listened intently and asked, "Did those people manage to escape?"
Li Minghan nervously looked at the dark road ahead and continued, "Some people have succeeded, but many others can never return. They are trapped in that dimension, becoming a part of that world, with no chance of turning back."
Li Minghan and Yang Dawei seemed lost in the mysterious currents of the Atlantic, their thoughts in disarray as if enveloped by supernatural forces. The two shook their heads, feeling bewildered and unable to comprehend what was happening before them.
At that moment, Lin Yating suddenly took out an umbrella and unceremoniously poked Li Minghan with it. Her voice was filled with impatience and warning: "The only mysterious thing that will happen now is the addition of two more high school students' bodies here. As long as you two continue to be unserious, this mysterious event will definitely happen."
Her words were like a chill, pulling the two back from their fantasies to reality. Li Minghan and Yang Dawei looked at each other awkwardly, finally understanding Lin Yating's impatience. They immediately restrained their unserious attitude, realizing that the task at hand was serious and dangerous, and could not be taken lightly.
As they walked, the surroundings gradually became narrow, and the atmosphere grew increasingly eerie. Darkness quickly enveloped them, causing the three to become extremely tense. Each step seemed to lead them deeper into a mysterious realm, every sound like a faint warning, and every phantom sending shivers down their spines.
To combat the darkness, they turned on their flashlights, casting beams of light ahead as they cautiously moved forward. The flashlight's glow revealed eerie images in this ancient passageway, with moss-covered walls and ancient patterns making them feel as if they were in an ancient, mysterious world.
This road seems endless, and everything in the darkness makes their mood increasingly tense. Every tiny sound can make their nerves tense, and every illusion makes their heart beat faster. However, they know that only by continuing forward can they find the missing Zhang Rui.
Finally, when their flashlights illuminated the front, they saw an ancient temple, with the sign of Temple of Mercy and Grace hanging high on the temple. However, the sign was damaged, leaning to one side, making the atmosphere of this place even more eerie. The ancient architecture of the temple and the dark environment complemented each other, as if they had entered a mysterious world full of unknowns and dangers.
