Liu Yuhan nodded in satisfaction, leaving Yi Tianchen somewhat perplexed.
King's Studio was a game studio co-founded by the Liu Group and the Zeng Group, two sibling enterprises. Since its inception, it had achieved quite remarkable success. However, it was not entirely unified; rather, it had split into two factions.
One was led by Zeng Jian, known as the Zeng Faction, while the other was headed by Liu Yuhan, referred to as the Liu Faction.
It was clear that Yi Tianchen was a loyal supporter of the Liu Faction. This loyalty stemmed not only from Liu Yuhan's sheltering him three years ago but also from a reason he himself dared not mention lightly.
He was a person without a past!
All of Yi Tianchen's memories began three years ago. A sudden car accident had left him with no recollection of his past. Aside from knowing his name from his identification card, everything about him vanished along with that accident.
Later, when Yi Tianchen followed the address on his ID, he discovered it led to an orphanage. After enduring this series of blows, he left his original city and arrived in The City of Mountains and Rivers, Guilin. It was there, in a moment of desperation, that he encountered Liu Yuhan.
Yi Tianchen had thought this would mark the beginning of a stable life. However, during his time with Liu Yuhan, the doors to his repressed heart slowly began to open, and the unspoken depression within him found release. This led Yi Tianchen to harbor the illusion that this beautiful girl beside him must be an angel sent by heaven.
He had always believed this.
The car continued forward, turning onto Cuizhu Road after passing through the airport intersection. Lush green trees lined both sides of the road, and bright sunlight filtered through the leaves like countless stars scattered across the sky. The streets were bustling with people taking advantage of the rare good weather to enjoy some fresh air together.
After a while of silence in the car, Liu Yuhan suddenly turned to look at Yi Tianchen. Her gaze held a hint of seriousness as she spoke softly, “Tianchen, I want to ask you a question…”
Yi Tianchen glanced at Liu Yuhan and replied lightly, “Sure, go ahead!”
Liu Yuhan paused for a moment before saying, “If—I'm saying if… one day I leave King's Studio, would you still follow me?”
“Yes, absolutely!”
Yi Tianchen nodded without any hesitation, his tone resolute as if declaring that no amount of persuasion could change his mind. He understood clearly that regardless of why Liu Yuhan posed such a question suddenly, his answer would always remain the same.
Liu Yuhan felt a surge of emotion and smiled brightly as she asked, “Really? Are you sure you won’t regret it?”
“Never regret it; it's valid for this lifetime!”
Liu Yuhan was taken aback, a faint blush suddenly appearing on her snow-white face, adding a touch of charm to her demeanor. With a slight smile, she playfully asked, "So... what about in the next life?"
"Well..." Yi Tianchen's heart skipped a beat as he chuckled and replied, "As for the next life, you might consider renewing the contract!"
Liu Yuhan burst into laughter, her previous melancholy fading away, and she relaxed considerably. With a serious tone, she said, "You better not regret it. I remember every single word you said today." She emphasized "every single word" with extra weight.
Yi Tianchen nodded earnestly and replied, "Don't worry, I've engraved every single word in my heart as well." He placed particular emphasis on the word "engraved."
What a wonderful duet this was!
Liu Yuhan felt the underlying meaning and blushed deeply, falling silent. The hint of shyness in her bright eyes made her even more endearing. Just as Yi Tianchen was lost in this moment, he suddenly heard a sharp reprimand: "Pay attention to driving! Do you believe I'll dock your pay?"
Yi Tianchen was startled and nearly broke into a sweat. Losing pay was minor; getting distracted while driving was a serious matter!
Fortunately, the road ahead was clear with no traffic, and the speed wasn't fast. After taking a deep breath to calm himself, Yi Tianchen focused intently on driving, not daring to let his mind wander again. Liu Yuhan gazed ahead with a light smile that was quite captivating.
Thus, the car fell into silence once more...
About ten minutes later, Liu Yuhan seemed to recall something amusing. Suddenly smiling, she turned to Yi Tianchen and asked with a grin, "Tianchen, do you know why I kept you by my side three years ago?"
"I don't know!"
Hearing Liu Yuhan's words made Yi Tianchen's heart race with anticipation. This had been a mystery that had puzzled him for three long years!
Countless nights and days had passed where Yi Tianchen wanted to ask but had held back due to various reasons. He never expected Liu Yuhan would bring it up today; his heart raced wildly at the thought.
He simply couldn't fathom what reason could have led Liu Yuhan to suddenly retain someone she barely knew.
Could it be because he was handsome? Come on, Yi Tianchen thought; he was just grateful no one called him ugly.
Could it be because he was tall and strong? That seemed even more ridiculous.
Liu Yuhan looked at Yi Tianchen with clear eyes that held a hint of mild curiosity, reminiscent of their first meeting three years ago. She smiled and asked, "Do you want to know?"
Yi Tianchen nodded slightly.
Liu Yuhan said seriously, "Because you look like someone, someone who is very important to me!"

Yi Tianchen was taken aback, unable to believe it. He never expected Liu Yuhan to give such an astonishing answer. The reason he was retained against the odds was because he resembled someone significant to her?
"What's wrong? Surprised?" Liu Yuhan smiled.
Yi Tianchen snapped back to reality and nodded, "It is indeed very surprising. This is an answer I wouldn't even dare to think of. Can you tell me who he is?"
Liu Yuhan let out a light sigh, her expression bittersweet. "Actually, I don't even know his name; I only know his game ID. He was known as the 'God of War' in the Chinese online gaming world three years ago. It was his influence that made me decide to dive into online gaming."
"Lutian Shafa?"
Yi Tianchen pronounced each syllable carefully, searching through the depths of his memory but finding no trace of this name. However, due to the opportunity this person had given him three years ago, Yi Tianchen firmly remembered this powerful game ID.
Liu Yuhan nodded and continued, "He was a real man, someone who dared to face the world alone. Unfortunately, three years ago, he vanished overnight.
