The whispers and pointing fingers from the crowd made Rao Jie wish she could find a crack in the ground to hide in. However, Bao Ming seemed to do this on purpose, declaring his feelings in front of everyone, showcasing his determination to show Rao Jie his bravery. The bystanders, unaware of the true situation, began to cheer, shouting all sorts of things.
"Forgive him!"
"Be together!"
"Marry him!"
Rao Jie was so incensed by the atmosphere that she felt like slapping someone.
Just then, someone suddenly burst out from the crowd and stepped forward, striking Bao Ming on the arm. The pain made Bao Ming release his grip.
Looking up, she saw him again!
Rao Jie stared in surprise at the person who seemed to have descended from the heavens. "Senior?"
It was Long Yong, and he looked somewhat comical holding a large plush teddy bear.
Bao Ming glared at him. "You again! What do you want? Are you trying to steal my girlfriend?"
The crowd immediately began to murmur among themselves.
Wei Qian was also stunned, unsure of what to do.
Rao Jie shouted angrily, "How shameless can you be? Who's your girlfriend? If you keep bothering me, I'll call the police!"
"Jie Jie, I..." Bao Ming feigned innocence. "Please don’t be mad at me. I really..."
Before Bao Ming could finish his sentence, Long Yong suddenly handed the teddy bear to Rao Jie for her to hold and then wrapped an arm around her waist. "You cheated on my girlfriend. Now that I've finally brought her happiness, can you please stop harassing her?"
Upon hearing this, the crowd immediately turned against Bao Ming.
Taking advantage of Bao Ming and the others' stunned silence, Long Yong pulled Rao Jie closer and said, "Jie Jie, let’s go."
Rao Jie was momentarily taken aback but nodded in agreement as Long Yong led her out of the mall.
It wasn't until they were in Long Yong's car that Rao Jie finally processed what had just happened.
"Senior, thank you for helping me. How did you happen to be here? Oh, right, about that bear..." Rao Jie looked at Long Yong with a hint of confusion.
Long Yong smiled and replied, "I came here to buy something for you to celebrate finishing your exams. I didn’t expect to find you with your friend. By the way, do you want to let your friend know?"
Rao Jie quickly realized and sent a message to Wei Qian.
Once she finished messaging, Long Yong chuckled and said, "Looks like you're destined to have dinner with me tonight."
Rao Jie smiled and said, "I’ll order what you like. It’s on me!"
After they finished their meal, Long Yong didn’t take Rao Jie home or do anything else; instead, he drove her straight back to the school.
Although Rao Jie was puzzled, she followed Long Yong’s lead. However, she quickly realized where he was taking her. It was the Activity Classroom that they had used when they were members of the club, and naturally, it was empty now.
Long Yong led Rao Jie inside, turned on the lights, and the classroom looked just as it always had. Being a Cooking Classroom, a faint aroma of food lingered in the air. The new members had also maintained the excellent tradition of cleanliness, ensuring that every piece of kitchenware was spotless.
"How did you get the key?" Rao Jie asked, feeling a bit happy since it was a place filled with memories for her. However, she hadn’t been back since she had left the club.
Long Yong smiled and replied, "I had the Former President ask the Current President for it."
"But… what are we doing here?" Rao Jie asked in confusion.
