In the evening, Murano Rimi walked along the narrow street, carrying shopping bags. The streetlights emitted a faint light, only illuminating a few steps ahead of her. Suddenly, her parasite Mi spoke.
"Rimi, stop, there are my companions nearby."
Rimi stopped in surprise and asked nervously, "How did you know, Mi?"
"I sensed a message like a brainwave, that's how I knew. It's the first time I've encountered a companion like me, apart from Shinichi's parasite," Mi said with a barely noticeable excitement in her voice.
Rimi felt a sudden wave of panic and thought, "Is it going to start so soon? How terrifying."
" Mi, if you were to face someone with the intent to kill, what are your chances of winning?" Rimi asked nervously.
"Probably a 50-50 chance," Mi replied calmly.
"Why is it so low!" Rimi felt despair, tears almost flowing out.
"Because the other person is also a parasite like me, the outcome is naturally fifty-fifty," Mi explained.
At this moment, Mi felt that the other person was feeding, which might be an excellent opportunity to attack.
"Let's go find him, Rimi."
On a dusk evening, Rimi and her parasite Mi made their way through the intricate streets and finally arrived at a dark shrouded ruin.
On this abandoned land, only a few broken walls and some scattered bricks remain, evidence that there was once human activity here.
In the distance, they noticed a figure busily using his split head to consume the body of an adult female.
Rimi Upon closer inspection, I couldn't help but be shocked. This man is none other than the infamous 45-year-old Mr. Sato, who recently gained notoriety for killing his wife and child.
Mr. Sato has now changed his appearance, sporting short black hair and dressed in a black windbreaker, giving off a more cold and cunning vibe.
Rimi and Mi's appearance clearly caught his attention.
His head slowly closed, with a smile on his face, and he said disdainfully, "Companions? Is your host human brain still alive, or did the possession fail?"
Mi parasite narrowed its eyes and responded calmly, "So this is what successful parasitism looks like. Although I don't have complete control over my host, we have found a way to coexist."
Mr. Sato's head began to split once again, revealing sharp teeth. "This form seems too weak to me. There's no need to keep it. You all shall become my food!"
Mi without any hesitation, her Right foot instantly transformed into a sharp blade, dodging to the side while roaring, "You won't succeed!" Then, a tense and murderous atmosphere filled the air.
In this dark and desolate ruins, Mi and Mr. Sato's parasite engaged in a heart-stopping showdown. Their transformed body parts collided continuously, emitting a jarring sound of metal clashing. Mi successfully blocked Mr. Sato's tentacle attack with his shield, which had turned as hard as steel.
However, Mr. Sato's reaction was extremely quick, and in almost an instant, he had flashed behind Mi. "Your weakness is this human. You can't escape. Let me eat you!" He smirked, his eyes filled with fierceness.
Mi's contracted pupils suddenly dilated, and with a swift turn of her body, she used her blade to create an arc of light, instantly blocking Mr. Sato's attack.
"Do you think only you can attack?" A hint of indifference flashed in Mi's eyes as well.
Rimi is tightly biting her lips at the moment, clenching her fists, silently cheering for Mi in her heart.
Mr. Sato: "Not bad, but with your female human body, how much longer can you hold on? The strength of our abilities is closely related to the original host's genes."
Rimi clenched her fist, feeling a chill running up her spine. Mi tightly pointed her sword at Mr. Sato, and the tension was about to explode.
"So you're saying we're not worth a fight?" A hint of provocation flashed in Mi's eyes.
Mr. Sato sneered and revealed his sharp teeth, "No, I'm saying that eliminating you would be much easier."
Rimi felt Mi's nervousness, but she stood firmly by Mi's side and said, "If you want to give it a try, go ahead."
At that moment, Mr. Sato's head suddenly split open, forming multiple tentacles, each resembling a sharp blade. He roared loudly and charged towards Rimi and Mi.
Mi reacted quickly, her Right foot blade fiercely clashed with Mr. Sato's tentacles, emitting a sharp metallic impact sound. Rimi quickly stepped back, avoiding the tentacle's attack.
"Is this your strength? You're really disappointing me!" Mr. Sato sneered.
Mi received no response, and her sword suddenly became longer and sharper. At the same time, she leaped up, aiming the sword at Mr. Sato's head.
But Mr. Sato seemed to have anticipated this, and his tentacles quickly formed a shield, successfully blocking Mi's attack.
"Is it our failure, or your overconfidence?" Mi taunted.
Rimi also joined the battle at this time, taking out a small pistol and aiming at Mr. Sato's arm, and with a "bang," fired a shot.
"Are you still carrying this thing?" Mr. Sato looked somewhat surprised and realized that his arm was bleeding.
"After all, you never know what dangers you might encounter. It's better to be safe than sorry. And I'm not a burden!" Rimi tightly gripped the gun she had stolen from her father and said seriously.
At that moment, Mi suddenly emitted a strong light, and the blade instantly pierced through Mr. Sato's shield, directly stabbing into his body.
Mr. Sato let out a scream, his whole body trembling.
"This is over," said Mi coldly.
Rimi put down the gun and walked to Mi's side, saying, "Well done, Mi."
Mi put away her sword and said with a smile, "Thank you for your help, Rimi."
"You've really made me angry," said Mr. Sato, as he transformed into a larger, toothy mouth, dripping with blood.
At that moment, a shadow quickly approached, it was Shinichi and his parasite. While running, Shinichi shouted, " Rimi, Mi, get out of the way!"
Shinichi also transformed into a giant axe, attacking Mr. Sato along with Mi.
Rimi and Mi were surprised by Shinichi's appearance, but they didn't have time for greetings. Shinichi and Right attacked Mr. Sato together, instantly suppressing his momentum.
Rimi immediately understood and raised her gun again, aiming at Mr. Sato. Shinichi saw Rimi's action, nodded, and then said to Right, "Make your move."
Right's axe form emitted a dazzling light, instantly severing Mr. Sato's tentacles. Mi took the opportunity to thrust her sword blade into Mr. Sato's body, causing him to scream in agony once again.
Rimi pulled the trigger of the gun, and a laser beam pierced through Mr. Sato's head, finally bringing him down.
His head was chopped off by Mi, and his body fell down.
Sato of parasite fell to the ground, wearing an incredulous expression on his face: "I... I was actually killed by two failed parasites...". Then he turned into a lump of flesh, slowly dried up and withered until death.
Shinichi walked to Rimi's side and said softly, "This time was really too dangerous, Rimi."
Rimi smiled and said, "Thank you, Shinichi. And thank you, Mi, and Right too."
Right glanced at Mr. Sato lying on the ground and said, "It's the first time I've seen a successful human parasite. This guy is really tricky."
Mi restored the sword to its original state and said, "Everything is over now."
Both of them, along with two parasites, understood in their hearts that this battle was just a small test of their skills on the long journey ahead.
