The boy glanced at the words the girl was typing on her phone, his expression revealing surprise as he asked her, "Are you sure? Did you not just imagine it?" 0

After being comforted by her boyfriend, the girl's excitement calmed down, though traces of fear still lingered in her words as she nodded at him. "I wasn't asleep, how could I have seen it wrong? Why don't we get off at the next stop?" 0

Although the boy was somewhat skeptical of his girlfriend's words, seeing her expression led him to decide to get off at the next stop. He reassured her, "Okay, we'll get off at the next stop. You should close your eyes and rest for a bit; I'll wake you when we arrive." 0

"Okay." 0

After she agreed, the girl rested her head on her boyfriend's lap and closed her eyes. Jiang Liu, who had been observing the couple, withdrew his gaze. He thought to himself that he might have been overly sensitive; the note was clearly just someone's prank, and he felt foolish for taking it to heart. 0

Once he looked away, Jiang Liu continued to gaze out the window. However, he noticed that all the streetlights that had been shining moments ago had vanished. The deep darkness enveloped the bus, and sensing something was off, he glanced at the reactions of those around him. He found that no one else seemed to notice this anomaly; others were either resting with their eyes closed or engrossed in their phones. The boyfriend of the girl who had seen something strange was staring intently out of the window, but his expression suggested he hadn’t noticed anything unusual. 0

Seeing the expressions of those around him, Jiang Liu decided to remain patient and quietly wait for what might never happen, hoping this was all just a figment of his imagination. However, the sweat on his palms betrayed that his inner turmoil was far from calm. After about ten minutes of travel, Jiang Liu finally felt that something was amiss; despite having traveled for so long, Outside the Bus remained as dark as it had been at the start, without a hint of light. At that moment, the girl who had seen something strange woke up and groggily asked her boyfriend, "Why haven't we arrived yet?" 0

The boy also sensed something was wrong; his face turned pale as he replied to her, "Something feels off." 0

Initially thinking her boyfriend might have seen something too, the girl looked around the bus in panic but saw nothing unusual. Confused, she turned back to him with questioning eyes. The boy's face grew increasingly grim as he pointed outside and said to her, "Since you started resting, Outside the Bus has been completely unclear... right up until now." 0

The girl, upon hearing her boyfriend's words, transformed from shock to sheer terror, exclaiming, "A ghost! It's a ghost! It wants to kill us all!" 0

The boy continuously tried to comfort his girlfriend, but his efforts seemed futile as she cried uncontrollably, losing her grip on reality. Finally, Jiang Liu couldn't help but speak up, "Dude, you noticed something's off too, right?" 0

The boy glanced at Jiang Liu but didn't respond, continuing to gently soothe his girlfriend. Jiang Liu stood up from his seat and walked toward the driver. The others in the bus, having witnessed the unfolding situation, also showed signs of distress. However, no one moved; they all fell silent and stared at Jiang Liu, sending a chill down his spine. 0

"Damn it," he muttered as he reached the front of the bus. He was struck by a chilling realization: the driver who should have been behind the wheel was nowhere to be found! The empty seat was devoid of any sign of One Person! Yet the bus continued to move forward. This discovery nearly made Jiang Liu's legs buckle beneath him. 0

Hearing Jiang Liu's voice, everyone else rushed to the front of the bus and were met with this eerie phenomenon. Fear and panic quickly spread throughout the cabin. 0

"What on earth is happening?" 0

A male student looked at Jiang Liu in terror, hoping for answers. But Jiang Liu's mind was a chaotic swirl; he had no capacity to respond to the student's question. The rest of the passengers were also engulfed in confusion, helplessly asking each other what was going on. Upon learning this news, the male student's girlfriend reached a breaking point; she opened a window in an attempt to jump out. But no matter how hard she pounded or tried other methods, the window wouldn't budge. Eventually, she curled up in a corner of the bus and began to sob. 0

The bus continued its solitary journey through the darkness, seemingly heading toward an unknown destination. Jiang Liu sat quietly in his seat, pondering what was happening. So far, everything felt like a supernatural occurrence—what one might call a paranormal event—shattering his understanding built over years. 0

The driver's inexplicable disappearance, the surrounding darkness, and a bus still moving without a driver—all combined with that mysterious note... All of it made Jiang Liu feel as though he had fallen into a supernatural incident. 0

Could it be that what was written on that note was true? 0

Suddenly, this thought sprang into Jiang Liu's mind and took root in his heart, refusing to leave him. Out of the corner of his eye, he observed the other passengers still banging on the windows in desperation to escape. A male student had even rushed to the driver's seat in an attempt to stop the bus, but nothing worked; it continued its quiet journey down the dark road. 0

If what was written on that note was real... then there truly was a ghost on this bus! 0

Thinking of this, Jiang Liu felt a wave of panic wash over him. Being trapped in a sealed car with a ghost and needing to find it left him feeling utterly lost. 0

Why me! I'm just a student who just finished the college entrance exam! Why do I have to go through this! I don't want this, I don't want any of this! 0

"Hello." 0

Just as Jiang Liu was spiraling into his thoughts, a voice came from beside him. He looked up in surprise to see the boy from earlier. He was taken aback that the boy had returned to find him; wasn't he supposed to be comforting his girlfriend? Turning around, Jiang Liu noticed that the boy's girlfriend had fallen asleep in the back seat at some point. After greeting Jiang Liu, the boy glanced around the now quiet car and asked him, "Did you notice something?" 0

Jiang Liu instinctively wanted to say no, but when he caught sight of the boy's cold gaze fixed on him, he felt a sense of danger, as if not telling the truth would lead to terrifying consequences. He thought about the note's contents, which simply stated that there was a ghost in the car. This boy had a girlfriend, so he probably wasn't the ghost. Telling him might help them both think through the situation together, so Jiang Liu gathered his thoughts and shared his discovery. 0

"I received a note before all this happened. It said there was a ghost in the car, and I needed to find it and identify it. If I identified the wrong one, I would die." 0

"What about that note?" 0

"I thought it was just a prank, so I threw it out of the bus." 0

At this point, Jiang Liu couldn't help but smile bitterly; who would have thought that what he initially dismissed as a prank would turn out to be real? The boy reflected for a moment and recalled throwing something out of the bus earlier, so he didn't doubt Jiang Liu's words and took a seat next to him. 0
