Gao Xiang let out a cold snort. "I think she just lacks a sense of public morality! She can't stand to see others having children!" 0

I forced a bitter smile and remained silent. I knew Gao Xiang was standing up for me, but who could really clarify such matters? All I could do was comfort him. 0

"Don't be angry. I will be fine. I will take care of myself and protect our child." 0

"After all, I've been hoping for this for so many years, and finally, I have this child..." 0

It had always been difficult for me to conceive. After years of trying with Gao Xiang, I finally became pregnant. When I saw the results on the examination report, I was genuinely thrilled. I never expected that I would have a child of my own with Gao Xiang so soon. 0

I had envisioned growing up alongside this child, watching him transform from a tiny bundle into a handsome young man. But then, a single comment from Ma Hao's Mother shattered my dreams. She actually suggested that I terminate the pregnancy! 0

How could I possibly do that? This was the flesh and blood of both Gao Xiang and me. 0

With a sigh, I fell silent again. Later that night, just before bed, I habitually picked up my phone to browse the news. 0

I saw the message from Ma Hao's mother again. When she noticed I hadn't replied, she sent me several more messages. 0

"Teacher Lin, think it over. If you terminate the pregnancy, I can help you with in vitro fertilization, and I'll cover all the costs." 0

"Your son is gone, but you still have a chance to have another child. If you lose this job, you won't find one as good." 0

Reading her messages made me want to laugh. Did she really think money could solve everything? Did she believe that because she had money, she could buy anything? I was genuinely amused by her audacity. 0

I replied directly: "I will not have an abortion, nor will I terminate my pregnancy because of your displeasure. Please stop harassing me, or I will report you." 0

Seeing that I had responded, she immediately sent another message: "Teacher Lin, I'm only looking out for your best interests. If you don't terminate the pregnancy, you won't be able to continue as the homeroom teacher. It's better to transfer now." 0

"I don't want my son to be held back because of you." 0

I couldn't be bothered to engage with her any further and simply turned off my phone. I thought that after this incident, she would back off and leave me alone. But to my surprise, she was still relentless. 0

The next day when I arrived at school, I found her standing at the classroom door. 0

A few parents were crying out in distress. 0

"Our homeroom teacher is pregnant, and we don't even know if she can continue working. What will happen to our children?" 0

"My child is taking the college entrance exam this year. If we get a new homeroom teacher, it could really affect their studies!" 0

The other parents chimed in, echoing their concerns. 0

"Oh dear, what are we going to do?" 0

"My child's grades have already dropped recently; I really don't want him to have to adjust to a new teacher." 0

"Exactly! If the homeroom teacher changes, the kids will have to adapt all over again. What a waste of time!" 0

Hearing their discussions made me feel helpless. I never expected Ma Hao's mother to act this way, nor did I anticipate her bringing this up in such a setting. Just as I was about to step in and explain, Ma Hao's mother suddenly ran towards me. 0

Then, with a thud, she knelt before me. 0

"Teacher Lin, I'm begging you, please don't transfer Ma Hao." 0

"If you're angry, take it out on me; don't take it out on the children." 0

"The kids are innocent. You can't ruin a child's life just because of your own desires." 0

I was taken aback for a moment before I finally processed her words. 0
