I sat at the edge of the pool, looking at Dragon Brother, and said, "It's good that you understand embarrassment. You might not know about my friend here; he once took down more than a dozen knife-wielding men all by himself. Back in my youth, he was no ordinary person. You guys are too few with just over ten of you. Next time you think about making a move against us, bring at least ten more, got it?"
Dragon Brother was caught off guard by my words. He couldn't deny it nor could he agree; he could only stand there awkwardly, smiling as he said, "I didn't know you two were martial artists. Although this brother has quite the muscles, I still find it hard to believe one can take on five. Actually, there's been a misunderstanding here."
What misunderstanding could there be? Dragon Brother had come for us, specifically for Guo Guoqing. After trying to show off and failing miserably, he didn't know how to wrap things up and could only use such words to brush us off. I understood this logic well enough, but if Dragon Brother truly had a stubborn character, we might not get any information out of him.
I chuckled and patted Dragon Brother's bald head, then said, "There are many things in the world that you don't understand, just as there are many things we don't understand either. But isn't the reason for having so many people in this world so that when I don't understand something, I can ask others? And when others don't understand something, I can tell them? Don't you agree?"
Dragon Brother was left in a fog by my words and could only nod in vague understanding. I continued, "Since you agree with this perspective, I won't beat around the bush anymore. You'd better tell me the truth about how Guo Guoqing offended you; otherwise, if we hear anything different from his mouth, you'll find that while the monk can run away, the temple cannot be escaped. Think carefully about the consequences."
Dragon Brother was already confused; what was there to think about? He immediately spoke up, "This matter is actually quite complicated. Our Heavenly Palace Bathhouse has a somewhat intricate relationship with Guo Guoqing. To trace this back, we have to go back a few months."

"Gradually, we realized that Guo Guoqing wasn't your typical rich kid at all; his behavior didn't resemble that of those spoiled brats. About two months ago, we found out that he wasn't really a rich second generation; it seemed like he lived alone in Tianlan City. You'd think someone who had money wouldn't want to earn more—what kind of fool would do that? "So when he asked for our prettiest girls, we introduced him to our best-looking ones. Upon hearing this, I couldn't help but feel a bit of sympathy. I wondered what these honest men had done to deserve such treatment. In the end, these women who had lost their way all sought to marry a decent man, but honest men are not fools; whether they choose to marry or not is another matter. This also revealed the mindset of these fallen women. According to Dragon Brother, Angel was aware of this too, but why would she still be willing to go out with Guo Guoqing? That was the real question.
Dragon Brother continued, "Later on, Angel caused quite a stir in our shop multiple times and even stopped taking clients at night. One night, she didn't show up at all, which was unacceptable. So Boss sent us to talk to Angel. As for how we would talk to her, well, we all understand how things work in our line of work."
"It's just about using some special methods to intimidate or threaten her," Dragon Brother said. "We are the ones who handle these matters. You know how it is in our industry; there are all sorts of people involved. If we get bullied, we naturally have to retaliate. His words almost made me laugh. What did he mean by saying there should be order in soliciting? But the deceased take precedence; we don't have time to consider that now. The urgent matter is to escape the trap set by Guo Guoqing as soon as possible.
"And then?" I asked.
Dragon Brother patted his bald head, looking somewhat reflective as he continued, "We're just people who get paid for our work; once we accept payment, we naturally have to do our job. So we found Angel and threatened her a bit, telling her that if she didn't return to work at Heavenly Palace, she might not remain safe in Tianlan City."
"Of course, this was all just a threat, but it seemed Angel took it seriously. Days passed without her returning to work, so we went looking for her again. But this time when we entered her place, one of my brothers got stabbed and is still in the hospital now. The attacker was none other than Guo Guoqing."
"Guo Guoqing told us that we were just small fry; killing us meant nothing to him. Besides, he was still a minor—killing someone was just killing someone; what could we do about it? That stab from Guo Guoqing was truly lethal; fortunately, my brother survived by sheer luck. We quickly reported this up the chain, and eventually, they decided to handle Guo Guoqing personally. As for what happened after that, we're not really sure."
"Although we suffered significant losses and were humiliated by Guo Guoqing, thankfully he wasn't part of our world and didn't spread the word about what happened. So naturally, we couldn't show ourselves as failures. If people found out that we were played by a kid, we'd really be done for."

Startled by my kick, the subordinate jumped up from the ground and said, "I'll take care of it right now!" With that, he dashed out like a shot, moving so fast that even Usain Bolt might struggle to keep up. I wondered how he had pretended to be so helpless during the earlier fight.
Dragon Brother was also feeling quite awkward and muttered under his breath, "This guy..."
"Aside from this matter, has Guo Guoqing done anything else at your Heavenly Palace, or said anything else? By the way, did he bring anyone with him when he came?" I pressed Dragon Brother for more details, hoping to find useful clues.
Dragon Brother shook his head and replied, "I'm not sure about that. You'd have to ask the Boss at Heavenly Palace.
