Crime Scene 296: Chapter 296

Although I am not involved in the underworld, I have been exposed to a lot during the investigation process. To put it simply, this is just an alternative form of an Oath of Loyalty. I had seen many cases in the files before, where a young gang member took an Oath of Loyalty to join a local gang and ended up using a machete to attack ten people on the street, resulting in one death and nine injuries. 0

Several high school dropouts drank the blood of sick pigs to join a so-called gang, and ultimately all died. Such incidents are not uncommon in the files, though they are certainly extreme. In my investigations, the Oath of Loyalty typically involves going out to fight someone or collecting protection money. 0

An imprisoned gang leader once told me that there are considerations behind such actions. Firstly, it serves as a deterrent for new recruits. In gangs, whatever the leaders say goes; from day one, they make new members take an Oath of Loyalty to establish authority and ensure that everyone understands who is in charge. 0

Secondly, it binds newcomers firmly to their ship. It's easy to get on a pirate ship, but getting off is difficult. This is also meant to solidify the newcomers' resolve to continue down this path. It’s important to understand that this line of work carries significant risks; not only do they have to worry about being caught by us, but they also have to be cautious of potential disabilities at any moment. 0

Since the founding of our country, with ongoing improvements in public safety, such phenomena have become rare. However, there are still many gangs lurking in the shadows, operating more discreetly now. It’s hard to witness group beatings on the streets or hear about deaths resulting from such incidents. 0

But now we find ourselves in this situation. As I mentioned earlier, this is another form of an Oath of Loyalty. I had previously injured Dragon Brother and although he was merely a pawn under Boss Huang, he was still one of her people. With so many of Boss Huang's subordinates present, failing to provide them with an explanation would mean that if her men were attacked without any repercussions, fewer would be willing to work for her in the future. 0

Moreover, this is also a way to assert her identity as the true boss in this place. It’s a typical tactic used in the underworld; it’s clear that Boss Huang has achieved her current status not just through money. I observed that she still wore a mysterious smile, completely different from her earlier sycophantic demeanor. 0

Although I studied disguise systematically during my university years, I still failed to mask my identity before someone as experienced as Boss Huang. Up until now, she hasn’t figured out that Dezi and I are police officers, but she can tell we are definitely not mere small-time thugs. 0

Boss Huang's earlier banter was merely an attempt to ascertain our identities. 0

“Alright, time has passed,” Boss Huang said coldly as she looked at us. “It’s time for you to make your choice: either kneel down now and crawl over here to clean my feet with your tongue, or I believe you wouldn’t want to see what happens next.” 0

Boss Huang is indeed a cautious person; she made us lie down before her instead of allowing us to approach her directly while crawling. While these two actions may seem similar, the order speaks volumes. Boss Huang knows about Dezi's and my skills; if we got too close, it would be easy for us to take her hostage. 0

Even if she is a formidable woman, no one can match me in terms of physical ability—not even Dezi. If we walked over and seized her immediately, we could use her as leverage and escape safely. But Boss Huang didn’t give us that opportunity; she blocked that route even before speaking. 0

If we crawled over while kneeling, having chosen to kneel means we wouldn't hesitate to clean her feet. Boss Huang was counting on this point; thus, the issue was no longer whether we would do it or not but rather that by kneeling down, we were declaring our intentions from that moment on. 0

However, having lived for thirty years without ever kneeling before anyone or anything, I would rather jump from the fourth floor than kneel before Boss Huang. If I felt this way, there was no doubt Dezi felt even more extreme—he would probably be ready for a life-or-death struggle right away. 0

The problem was that in order to infiltrate, we didn't bring our police badges, handcuffs, or Dezi's gun. If things went south, we wouldn't be able to clarify our identities. It would likely just make Huang Boss think we were both crazy. So if a fight broke out, it would have to be fists against fists, flesh against flesh. 0

Seeing that we were motionless, Huang Boss lifted her leg, clad in stockings, and beckoned us over with her toes. Looking at the black stockings, with toes barely visible and remnants of saliva from the last tough guy who had been there, I felt a wave of nausea. For foot fetishists, it might be paradise, but for Dezi and me, it was a tremendous humiliation. 0

Huang Boss continued, "This is my last question for you: will you lick or not? My patience is limited, and I don't have much time to waste on this matter. The choice is yours!" 0

At this point, it was clear that negotiations had broken down. I exchanged a glance with Dezi, signaling him to get ready to act; it was obvious that we weren't going to reach an agreement. Dezi slightly closed his eyes, indicating he understood. After more than a year together, our mutual understanding had developed to the point where we could communicate with just a look. 0

I pretended to kneel but hesitated. "Huang Boss, I never thought my brother and I would end up in your hands this time. You're a beautiful woman and a clever one too. I admit defeat; let's do this!" 0

Huang Boss smiled even wider and deliberately extended her foot toward me. In that instant, I dropped to my knees. At that moment, Dezi sprang into action with incredible speed, targeting Huang Boss, who had let her guard down due to my words. It seemed Huang Boss hadn't anticipated Dezi's quickness and was momentarily caught off guard. 0

We were only about three meters away from Huang Boss; at Dezi's speed, he could reach her and subdue her within two seconds. However, one of the muscular men beside Huang Boss reacted quickly and stepped in front of her. 0

Instead of kneeling as planned, I took advantage of the situation and rolled forward, landing right in front of Huang Boss. 0

As mentioned earlier, Huang Boss was sitting on a long and wide sofa. The muscular men had only two options to reach her: either go around the sofa or jump onto it to protect her. 0

Both actions required time, but Dezi and I were already ahead of them. At that moment, the man who had previously licked Huang Boss's feet stepped forward to block Dezi's path—and he succeeded. 0

Dezi and he exchanged blows almost immediately; Dezi threw a punch while the muscular man swung back. Their fists collided with a sharp sound that echoed through the room—I couldn't tell whose bone might have fractured. 0

The force of the impact sent both men staggering backward. Dezi retreated three steps before finally stopping at nearly two meters away. The muscular man also stumbled back but tripped over the wide sofa behind him and fell over it. 0

Although Dezi had been pushed back, he bought me some time. Despite how much detail I've described above, everything happened in the blink of an eye; at this moment, the other muscular men hadn't arrived yet. Only Huang Boss and I remained in front of the sofa. Clearly, she lacked the reaction speed of the muscular man beside her; one foot was bare while the other half-wore a high heel—she was practically unable to evade any attack. 0

This was a good opportunity. I quickly grabbed the arm of the Yellow Boss and pulled her over. At the same time, I used a clever kick to strike her leg. With a twist of my hands, the Yellow Boss found herself kneeling on the ground, her back to me. My other arm swiftly wrapped around her neck, tightening around her throat. 0

All of this happened in the blink of an eye, not exceeding a second. 0

At that moment, the Muscular Men approached. I tightened my grip, causing the Yellow Boss to cry out in pain. I smiled and said, "I still can't agree to this. Perhaps your subordinates are used to groveling before you, but I'm not one of them. Don't come any closer!" 0

Just then, Dezi walked over while flexing his fingers. I asked, "Are you okay, Dezi? I heard someone’s finger bone snap just now." 0

Dezi shook his hand and replied, "The Muscular Man is indeed strong, but his explosive power is lacking. I think he hasn't realized that yet..." 0

As soon as Dezi finished speaking, we heard a wailing sound from the Muscular Man across from us. It seemed that it wasn't Dezi who had suffered an injury but rather that Muscular Man. It looked like their exchange had been too fast; in an instant, the pain hadn't registered in his brain until now. 0

Knowing that Dezi wasn't hurt lifted a weight off my shoulders. However, thinking back on our time together, I realized I had never seen Dezi suffer any significant losses in combat. The closest call was during the Human Meat Canning Case when we were on Young Master Lin's private island; even then, Dezi had managed to come out on top against the mercenaries. 0

But now was not the time to dwell on that. I addressed everyone, "You'd better stay back if you don't want the Yellow Boss's finger bones to snap as well." 0
