On a sunny weekend morning, a delightful day that puts people in a good mood. Mo Yanyu got up early and prepared a special activity for Xingxing - a picnic in the park. He planned to bring his homemade sandwiches and fresh fruits to enjoy a relaxing and pleasant outdoor time.
In the kitchen, Mo Yanyu wore a simple white t-shirt and was focused on making sandwiches. His movements were skilled and methodical, and each sandwich was made to be both visually appealing and nutritious.
His face appeared clearer in the sunlight, and his focused expression revealed his concentration on the current affairs. The presence of him in the kitchen made the atmosphere unusually quiet, with only the sound of the cutting board and knives occasionally breaking the silence.
Mo Yanyu took out fresh ingredients from the refrigerator, including lettuce, tomatoes, cooked chicken breast, and some low-fat cheese that he deliberately selected. He carefully washed the lettuce and tomatoes first, then cut them into sizes suitable for sandwiches, with each cut being precise. After that, he sliced the chicken breast thinly and gently placed it on whole wheat bread, followed by a thin layer of cheese and vegetables evenly spread, with each step revealing his meticulous attention to detail.
During the process of making sandwiches, he would occasionally furrow his brow, as if pondering something. After a while, he suddenly stopped his actions, turned around, opened the kitchen cabinet, and took out a small bottle of olive oil and some black pepper. He gently drizzled a few drops of olive oil onto the sandwich, then sprinkled a bit of black pepper. This was his little secret that could make the sandwich taste even more delicious.
After finishing the preparation, he carefully cut each sandwich into diagonal halves, then wrapped them in plastic wrap and placed them in the prepared picnic basket. Next, he took out some fresh fruits from the refrigerator, including strawberries, blueberries, and apples, all of which were favorites of Star.
Mo Yanyu's movements are gentle yet highly efficient, from preparing the ingredients to the final packing, every step is orderly. He places all the prepared food into the picnic basket one by one, then checks again to ensure nothing is left out.
At the same time, Xingxing, wearing her pink dress with a small bear pattern, runs into the kitchen and curiously circles around Mo Yanyu.
"Uncle Mo, where are we going to play today?" Star looked up at Mo Yanyu with a pair of big sparkling eyes, full of anticipation.
Mo Yanyu stopped his work, slightly lowered his head to look at her, with a gentle smile in his eyes, "Today we are going to the park for a picnic. I have prepared a lot of delicious food, and your favorite strawberries."
After hearing that, the star happily jumped up and said, "Yay! I love picnics the most, Uncle Mo, let's go quickly!" After breakfast, Mo Yanyu and the star took a big basket filled with picnic food and supplies to the park. On the way, the star couldn't help but ask curiously, "Uncle Mo, what games are we going to play during the picnic?"
"After we arrive at the park, we can fly kites and play hide and seek to see who can hide the best," suggested Mo Yanyu. Although he doesn't talk much, he always carefully considers Star's preferences.
When they arrived at the park, they found a grassy area surrounded by dense trees, quiet and comfortable. Mo Yanyu laid out a picnic mat and arranged the food, while Star busied himself running around the grass, delighted in this little world that belonged to them.
"Uncle Mo, I'm here to help!" Xingxing ran back and carefully placed a piece of fruit on the picnic blanket.
Mo Yanyu looked at her clumsy yet earnest appearance and a hint of a smile rose in his heart. "Good, with your help, our picnic will surely be even more perfect."
The sunlight sprinkled down from the azure sky, and the flowers and grass in the park emitted a faint fragrance, everything seemed so warm and pleasant. Mo Yanyu and Xingxing found a quiet patch of grass in the park, laid out a picnic blanket, surrounded by shady green trees, and a gentle breeze brought a hint of coolness.
Mo Yanyu took out the food one by one, carefully made sandwiches, colorful fruits, and Xingxing's favorite blueberry-flavored yogurt. Xingxing sat on the picnic blanket, swinging his legs unconsciously, and curiously observing Mo Yanyu's every move.
"Uncle Mo, what is this?" Star pointed at an exquisite sandwich, her eyes filled with curiosity.
Mo Yanyu smiled slightly and patiently explained, "This is a chicken breast sandwich, with lettuce and tomato inside, very good for the body." His voice was calm, but he tried to make it sound more friendly.
Star reached out and picked up a sandwich, carefully took a bite, squinted her eyes, and said with a smile, "Delicious, Uncle Mo made it so delicious!" Her face was filled with a satisfied smile.
As she continued eating, Star began her question and answer game again, "Uncle Mo, why is the sky blue?"
Mo Yan's Words Putting down the fruit in his hand, he looked at the vast blue sky and began to explain: "That's because the blue light waves from the sun are scattered in the atmosphere, so we see the sky as blue."
Xingxing listened with great interest. Although she didn't fully understand, she nodded earnestly and then asked a new question: "So, Uncle Mo, why do birds fly?"
Mo Yanyu After a little thought, I tried to explain in simple words: "Because the bird's wings can push the air downwards, they can fly upwards. It's like, um, when you wave your hands in the water, you move forward."
Xingxing listened, showed a pensive expression, and then suddenly laughed, summarizing in her childish language: "So birds are swimming in the air!"
Mo Yanyu was unconsciously infected by the imagination and optimism of the stars, and found himself smiling. He discovered that his world became more colorful and rich while being with the stars.
Such conversations continued between them, from the color of the sky to the little insects on the grass, everything aroused the curiosity of the stars. Mo Yanyu did his best to answer every question. Their picnic was filled with a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, and the warmth and joy between parent and child were fully displayed in this moment.
After dinner, Mo Yanyu took out the kite he had prepared in advance. "Xingxing, let's fly kites and see whose kite can fly higher."
Xingxing nodded excitedly, "Okay, okay! I want to make my kite fly into the clouds!"
On that spacious grassland, the sunlight and gentle breeze intertwined to create a warm scene. Mo Yanyu and Xing Xing were enjoying a special activity - flying kites. Mo Yanyu took out an exquisite kite, brightly colored and shaped like a large butterfly, attracting Xing Xing's curious gaze.
"Uncle Mo, will our kite fly to the moon?" Xing Xing asked eagerly as she jumped, her eyes shining with childlike radiance.
Mo Yanyu smiled slightly, looked down at her, and answered gently, "It won't fly to the moon, but it will fly very high, high enough to almost touch the clouds in the sky." His explanation was both truthful and filled with imaginative space, hoping to satisfy the curiosity of the stars about the unknown world.
Then, Mo Yanyu began to teach the stars how to fly a kite. He first demonstrated how to hold the kite string handle, and then gently threw the kite into the air. With the power of the wind, the kite began to slowly ascend.
"Now, gently release the line," he instructed patiently as he operated. "Look, the kite is starting to fly. Let it fly higher."
Xingxing followed along, clumsily imitating Mo Yanyu's movements. Her expression was focused and determined, as if she had made up her mind to make the kite fly higher. With the increasing wind, the kite indeed flew higher and higher, eventually dancing in the blue sky and white clouds like a real butterfly.
"I did it, Uncle Mo! Look, it's flying so high!" Star exclaimed excitedly, her little face filled with indescribable joy and a sense of accomplishment. She turned around and waved vigorously at Mo Yanyu, as if to say, "See, I can do it too!"
Mo Yanyu looked at Star's innocent and flawless smile, and felt a warm surge in his heart. He had thought he was here to teach Star how to fly a kite, but he hadn't expected that it was Star who was teaching him how to enjoy this simple and pure happiness. He responded with an encouraging smile and softly said, "Great job, Star, you did very well."
Their laughter and the dancing kites in the sky became a beautiful sight in the park. Many passersby were attracted by this heartwarming scene, stopped in their tracks, and enjoyed the special "parent-child" duo, feeling warmth and joy in their hearts.
As time slowly passed, the sunset began to dye the horizon red, and Mo Yanyu and the stars gradually put away their kites, ending this delightful kite-flying journey.
As the sun sets in the west, the day's picnic activities are gradually coming to an end. Mo Yanyu packs up the picnic supplies and prepares to take the stars home. Before leaving, the stars take Mo Yanyu's hand and earnestly say, "Uncle Mo, I had a great time today. Thank you for bringing me to the picnic."
Mo Yanyu looks down at her, his eyes filled with warmth, "As long as you're happy, I'm happy too."
They walked hand in hand, slowly leaving the park, leaving behind a trail of laughter and joy. This day's picnic not only allowed them to enjoy happy times with their children, but also deepened their bond, becoming a cherished and unforgettable memory in their hearts.
