On this special day, Mo Yanyu has put all his love and energy into preparing for the celebration of Star's third birthday. He woke up early to start decorating the room, ensuring that everything was perfect. As he stood in the center of the living room, looking out at the bustling city through the large windows, he couldn't help but feel a wave of emotions. This was the first time he had organized a birthday party for Star since adopting her, and the sense of responsibility made him both excited and a little nervous.
In the living room, a rainbow-like balloon arch shimmered, attracting everyone's attention. The table was filled with all kinds of snacks and drinks, from exquisite little cakes to colorful juices, all showcasing Mo Yanyu's dedication to this birthday party.
The birthday cake was placed in the center of the room. It was a specially customized cake with a cute little rabbit drawn on it, surrounded by colorful sugar beads. Mo Yanyu chose this design with deep meaning, hoping to symbolize that Star's future life would be as colorful and sweet as these sugar beads.
Just as everything was ready, Star ran in with excited eyes. "Uncle Mo, is this for my birthday party?" Her eyes were full of surprise.
"Yes, Star, today is your big day." Mo Yanyu bent down and gently patted Star's head. "We will have lots of fun games, and your favorite cake and gifts."
Star excitedly ran around the cake a few times, then suddenly stopped and looked at Mo Yanyu seriously, saying, "Uncle Mo, thank you, I'm so happy."
Mo Yanyu felt an unprecedented warmth in his heart. The joy and satisfaction brought to him by this little life far exceeded his imagination. "Star, as long as you're happy, I'm happy," he replied, his eyes filled with infinite tenderness.
"Uncle Mo, when do we start?" Star dragged a big balloon, curiosity shining in his eyes.
Mo Yanyu squatted down and looked at the stars, saying, "It's almost time, stars. Your little friends will be here soon. Today is your big day, so be happy."
Just then, the doorbell rang, and the first group of guests arrived. Excited, the stars ran to open the door, where they were greeted by Sophia carrying a large bag of exquisite gifts, along with a few other children from the kindergarten who got along well with the stars. Their arrival added even more vitality to the already warm room.
The party officially began, and Mo Yanyu's living room quickly turned into a joyful playground for the children. He carefully prepared a series of games aimed at bringing endless fun and happiness to every little guest. First was the "Chair Battle" game, where the children danced around the chairs placed in the center of the living room. When the music stopped, everyone had to scramble for a seat. Mo Yanyu was in charge of controlling the music, and each time the music stopped, he could see the scene of children eagerly vying for seats, accompanied by laughter.
Next was the "Treasure Hunt" game. Mo Yanyu had previously hidden small gifts in various corners of the house and gave the children a treasure map. Like little explorers, the children searched for treasures in the room while Mo Yanyu observed their progress and gave hints, his eyes shining with contentment and joy.
Throughout the entire party, although Mo Yanyu didn't speak much, every one of his actions and glances revealed a deep concern and care for the children. He gently guided the children on how to play games, and even though he wasn't good at expressing emotions, the soft glow he occasionally emitted was enough to show his inner warmth and love.
Xingxing also actively participated in various games, and her laughter was always the loudest. Whenever she achieved a small success in the game, she would excitedly run to Mo Yanyu to share her joy. "Uncle Mo, Uncle Mo, I found the treasure!" Xingxing held up the small gift in her hand, her face beaming with pride and happiness.
Mo Yanyu gently bent down, revealing a gentle smile, and lightly patted the head of the star, "Great job, star! You are our little explorer."
The climax of the party, of course, was cutting the cake and giving gifts. Star stood in front of the cake, her eyes shining brightly, her little hand tightly gripping the knife handle. Mo Yanyu gently supported her hand, "Let's do it together, Star."
"I make a wish, I make a wish!" Excitedly, Star closed her eyes and murmured her secret wish. When she opened her eyes, she took a deep breath and blew out all the candles at once. Everyone cheered in unison, and the air was filled with a sense of happiness.
During the gift-giving segment, Star received all sorts of presents, from colorful building blocks to cute picture books, each one delighting her. And Mo Yanyu gave her a delicate little backpack with a lively little rabbit embroidered on it, identical to the design on the birthday cake.
"Uncle Mo, is this the gift you gave me? It's so pretty!" Star happily jumped up, carefully putting on the backpack as if she didn't want to take it off.
Mo Yanyu nodded with a smile, "I'm glad you like it, Star. This was carefully chosen for you by Uncle Mo."
At the end of the party, Sophia took out her camera and suggested, "Let's take a group photo! This way we can capture all the happy moments from today." Her suggestion was immediately met with enthusiasm as the children excitedly ran around to find their positions, hoping to have a place in the photo.
Mo Yanyu gently directed the children to stand in place, then he walked over to where Xingxing was and crouched down, positioning himself and Xingxing at the front. Xingxing had a big smile on her face, with her arms wrapped around Mo Yanyu's neck, showing her trademark radiant smile.
"Everyone, look here and smile~" Sophia stood in the right position, ready to press the shutter. At this heartwarming moment, everyone's faces were filled with sincere smiles. In that moment, all the laughter and joy froze in the sound of the camera's shutter, capturing beautiful moments.
"Okay, let's take another one. This time, how about making funny faces?" Sophia said again, wanting to capture more natural and interesting scenes.
The children became even more excited after hearing this, making all sorts of funny expressions. Even the usually serious Mo Yanyu wrinkled his nose slightly, trying to accommodate the children's "requests." Seeing this rare side of Mo Yanyu, Star couldn't help but burst into a giggling laughter, which was clear and sweet.
As Sophia pressed the camera shutter again, this humorous and heartwarming scene was permanently captured.
Finally, when all the guests had left, the room returned to tranquility. Mo Yanyu sat on the sofa, watching as the tired Star lay on his lap and fell asleep with a satisfied smile on his face. He gently stroked Star's hair, feeling full of love and responsibility.
At that moment, he understood that true happiness does not lie in material wealth, but in sharing every ordinary yet precious day with the people you love. Star's presence made his world more colorful and taught him how to love with all his heart, and to savor every joy in life.
It's late at night, Mo Yanyu carefully tucks the little star into bed and covers her with a blanket. As he walks out of the room, he gently closes the door and silently promises to protect the little star no matter what, and give her a home filled with love.
In the days following the end of the party, Mo Yanyu specifically selected a beautiful photo album to collect those precious captured moments. On a quiet afternoon, he carefully organized the printed photos, each one bringing back the laughter and joy of that day as he flipped through them one by one.
When the stars curiously ran over and sat around Mo Yanyu, her little hand occasionally touched these photos lightly, her eyes full of memories and love for that day. "Uncle Mo, this is the one where I made a funny face, it's so funny!" Star pointed to a photo and giggled.
Mo Yanyu looked at the innocent smile of the star, feeling even warmer in his heart. "Yes, that moment was really fun. Your funny face made everyone laugh," he responded gently, then turned to the next page, which was a photo of him and the star standing hand in hand under the rainbow balloon arch, their smiling faces so bright, as if they could light up the whole world.
"We look so happy!" Star exclaimed cheerfully, her eyes sparkling with pure joy.
"Yes, Star, as long as we're together, every day will be this happy," Mo Yanyu said firmly, his eyes filled with promise. He gently patted Star's head, then continued to flip through the photo album with her, each picture capturing their shared memories, each page turn reaffirming their happiness.
As time passes, this album has become the most precious memory bank between Mo Yanyu and the stars. It not only contains photos, but also their love, laughter, and warmth. Whenever they feel tired or confused in the future, they can open this album and all the beautiful memories will comfort their hearts like a spring breeze, reminding them that every moment they spent together is so precious and worth cherishing.
