On the night of March 24, 2015, 32-year-old Yuan accidentally crashed into a guardrail while driving alone. Following the accident, Yuan was taken to the hospital for treatment due to his injuries.
What initially seemed like a routine hospitalization quickly escalated beyond anyone's imagination.
When the owner of the car was called to the hospital, three other women claiming to be Yuan's girlfriends had already arrived. One of them was contacted by Yuan's family, while several others learned about Yuan's accident by inquiring with his parents.
Thus, four women all claiming to be Yuan's girlfriend rushed to visit their boyfriend.
At first, they thought the others were relatives of Yuan, but after chatting for a while, they realized that they were all his girlfriends. This revelation infuriated them; if Yuan hadn't been in a coma, they would have given him a piece of their minds.
At that moment, one of the girlfriends named Xuan Xuan had a clever idea. She logged into Yuan's WeChat on her phone and was shocked to see his friend list. Almost fainting from anger, she discovered that aside from a few male friends, over 200 of his contacts were female, along with numerous flirty chat records with other women. Xuan Xuan couldn't help but feel both amused and exasperated.
Determined to find out just how many girlfriends Yuan had, Xuan Xuan sent out a mass message stating that Yuan had been in an accident and was hospitalized.
The next day, 17 women showed up at the hospital to visit Yuan, while dozens more who couldn’t make it sent him money via WeChat.

After learning the situation at the hospital, the 17 women unleashed their fury on Yuan, some even wanting to give him a good beating.
However, Yuan was cunning; upon seeing his girlfriends, he pretended to be unconscious or confused. No matter who called him "husband," he would only respond with a simple "Okay."
What was even more shocking was that one woman brought her child and called him "Daddy."
The other 16 girlfriends were so furious they nearly passed out.
When Yuan's ex-wife learned of the situation, she also came to the hospital.
She told reporters that Yuan had always been a playboy. Although they were married for only two years, she discovered through his notebook that it was filled with the names of his girlfriends. Some women even bore him children, which led her to divorce him.

Yuan's mother quickly blocked his several girlfriends at the door. She said, "If my son has done something wrong, you can take him to court."
Hearing Yuan's mother being so unreasonable, his more than ten girlfriends exploded in anger on the spot. They no longer cared about saving face for Yuan and called the police. In May 2015, Yuan was criminally detained by the police in Changsha, Hunan for fraud.
Thanks to the reports from Yuan's girlfriends, it was revealed that during their relationships, Yuan claimed to be a construction project owner and solicited money from them under various pretenses, with the total amount involved exceeding one million yuan.
Among them, his ex-wife was the most deceived, losing over 200,000 yuan to Yuan.
Upon further investigation, it was found that Yuan was born in 1983 in a poor village in Changsha, Hunan. He only had a second-grade education and did not have a stable job; he owned nothing but a motorcycle.
Yet, Yuan's girlfriends claimed that in their eyes, he was a big boss in construction with multiple properties, luxury cars, and even bank savings exceeding one hundred million yuan. How did they meet him, and why didn’t they discover the truth later?
According to one of Yuan's girlfriends, Xuan Xuan, who is 32 years old and works as a white-collar worker in a company, she added Yuan on WeChat by chance.
Having little romantic experience before, Xuan Xuan was easily won over by Yuan's caring messages. She fondly remembered the sweetness and romance he brought her for the first time. The others also met Yuan online.
Not long after they got acquainted, Yuan suggested meeting up. Seeing this 1.75-meter tall man who looked somewhat handsome and appeared honest made most women let down their guard.
At first, Yuan claimed he just wanted to be friends with them. However, under his smooth talk, one by one they were dazzled by him. He dressed very well and presented himself impressively.
Yuan also claimed to be a construction project owner. During their conversations, he would send pictures of site inspections and payments for projects. Sometimes he would even flaunt a bag of cash in front of the girls.
What they didn’t know was that aside from a few genuine photos, most were just practice vouchers.
For those girls who had concerns, Yuan would bring them home to meet his parents.
Not only that, but Yuan also loved to paint a rosy picture for the girls. He would tell them that once the project funds came in, he would buy them houses, and they would live happily together.

Among them was Meizi, a 48-year-old woman who left everything behind.
At first, Yuan pursued Meizi with great determination, visiting her three times a day—more frequently than he ate.
In the end, it was his strong eight-pack abs and gentle demeanor that won her over.
As for the other girls, Yuan had a surprising tactic.

Among the girlfriends Yuan had dated, most were financially stable. However, 18-year-old Tuan Tuan was an exception.
Tuan Tuan worked as an assembly line worker, putting in 12-hour shifts for a monthly salary of only three to four thousand yuan. During their three years together, they spent less than a month actually being together; their meetings ranged from just a few minutes to one night at most.
Over those three years, Yuan borrowed more than 50,000 yuan from Tuan Tuan—money she had saved through overtime and frugality. But did none of these girls ever suspect that they were being deceived by Yuan?
Although some girls had previously questioned Yuan about borrowing money, under his silver tongue, they chose not to break up with him.
Additionally, Yuan had excellent physical fitness; had it not been for the unexpected car accident, who knows how many more girls he would have harmed.
In the face of the girls' accusations, Yuan stubbornly refused to admit anything, even claiming that he had lost his memory due to the accident.
However, the doctors at the hospital stated that Yuan's injuries were not severe; had he not been sent to the hospital in time, his wounds would have healed long ago.

Once the police gathered substantial evidence, Yuan confessed to all his crimes.
He explained that the reason he could navigate through so many women was twofold. First, if he encountered women who had experienced hardships, he would take them on a carousel ride. If he met naive girls, he would show them the wonders of the world.
Second, he emphasized the importance of physical fitness as key to winning over women. Moreover, money was not meant for women to spend but rather to impress them; through his strong presence, he could easily manipulate their desires.

Ultimately, Yuan was sentenced to ten years in prison for fraud due to the particularly large amount involved.
