I was stunned for a few seconds before asking, "So who are you? Is it Zhang Xun?" 0

But I also understood that this voice was neither Old Wang's nor Zhang Xun's; it sounded somewhat like Fat Zhang's. However, in the half month since I started working here, Fat Zhang had never spoken to me in such a heavy tone. 0

Besides, Fat Zhang was undoubtedly dead. 0

I waited for a response from the other end, feeling an inexplicable chill run down my spine. I was a bit nervous. 0

After a few seconds, a voice came through, saying, "Oh, it's you! Fei, is there something you need?" 0

Wait! That didn't sound right! This time it was Director Wang speaking. 0

I called out to Director Wang and asked who had answered the phone just now. 0

I was filled with confusion when Old Wang quickly replied, "Oh, that was Zhang Xun who answered the call." 0

I said I thought I heard Fat Zhang's voice earlier. After I spoke, Old Wang told me it must have been my psychological pressure getting to me and advised me not to stress too much; everything would pass. Then he asked what I needed. 0

I realized I might be overthinking things. Fat Zhang was definitely dead, yet the image of his corpse flashed through my mind, making me shiver involuntarily. 0

After a moment, I asked Old Wang, "How is everything on that side going?" 0

Old Wang replied, "Fei, don't rush. We still need a few more things here. Just stay with my nephew for a while; you might learn something from him." 0

I felt that this place was not safe, so I asked directly how many more there were. 0

Old Wang was silent for a while before saying, "Let's make it three. The urn here definitely needs to be dealt with." Hearing Old Wang say three, I had nothing more to add. 0

After hanging up the phone, I returned to my room. What kind of corpse had been burned in that urn? 0

Could this corpse bring a curse? Or misfortune? 0

Then everyone died, and I happened to be the last lucky one left alive in the funeral home? 0

My mind was a bit chaotic as I sat in my room, holding that pouch in my hand. 0

I didn't know what Zhang Xun and Old Wang were dealing with over there. I still had to stay here for three days. I hoped that after those three days, everything would be properly resolved and I could return to my previous peaceful life. 0

But good times didn't last long. 0

There was a knock at the door. Gao Ling stood outside and said, "Brother Fei, come out. We need to talk about some things." 0

Since it was daytime, I had no reservations about opening the door. 0

I thought it necessary to explain to Gao Ling the horror of that corpse and that I absolutely would not participate in this matter. 0

I sat across from Gao Ling. 0

At that moment, this guy gave me a chilling feeling. I hadn't noticed it the first time I met him, but now, seeing him dressed in all black, the sensation was undeniable. 0

Gao Ling got straight to the point: "Fei, I've already collected the money for this corpse. I can't just ignore it." 0

I replied to Gao Ling, "This is your problem. Didn't you see that the corpse has no pupils? It's a blind corpse. Are you really going to handle something like that?" 0

My tone was somewhat serious; I didn't want to get into trouble. 0

Gao Ling stared at me and paused for a moment. We both worked in this line of business and understood things that ordinary people didn't. That corpse was problematic enough to send chills down anyone's spine. But didn’t you notice the real cause of death? 0

Gao Ling's tone had turned cold. 0

I said, "Isn't it obvious? The deceased fell from a high building. The cause of death is clear." 0

Gao Ling responded, "Brother Fei, are you new to this?" 0

His demeanor had become somewhat aggressive. So what if I was? Gao Ling continued, "Well, that explains it. No wonder you didn't see it. Let me tell you the true cause of death: she was killed by a ghost..." 0

After those words fell, even though a brilliant ray of sunlight streamed in through the window, I felt as if I had plunged into an ice cellar. It was as if all the warmth had been sucked out of me, and I could feel an invisible hand gripping my heart, ready to crush it at any moment. The sensation was indescribably unsettling. 0

I was momentarily speechless and couldn't respond. 0

But Gao Ling continued, "Just like that guy tossing the hot potato of an urn at you and walking away—it's not helping you; it's putting your life at risk." 0

Gao Ling stood up, blocking the light from outside, his shadow enveloping the room. 0

I was taken aback by this guy. 0

I took a deep breath, trying to dispel the uneasy feeling. 0

I said to Gao Ling, "Do you have any evidence that the corpse was strangled by a ghost?" 0

Gao Ling replied, "Wasn't there a man singing at night? Didn't you hear him? If you don't believe me, you can go up and take a look. There must be something strange inside." 0

"Are you saying that man is the murderer? But even if he is, what does that have to do with how you handled the corpse?" 0

Gao Ling continued, "Aren't you afraid that the male ghost will strangle you too? And if the corpse isn't handled properly, it will definitely cause more unnecessary trouble. Do you think it's just a coincidence that we can hear them singing? Maybe it's a warning, warning us that you're next..." 0

A weight pressed down on my heart, and I began to feel anxious. Being able to hear ghosts meant we might soon become ghosts ourselves. 0

Gao Ling suggested we go down to check on the corpse or look at the rooms upstairs. 0

I couldn't help but curse inwardly. Damn it, what kind of situation is this? Out of nowhere, this bizarre occurrence has come up. 0

Damn it, though I was reluctant, I still got up. 0

Gao Ling said, "This time, I can help you deal with that Urn as well." 0

Gao Ling mentioned the Urn again, which surprised me, and I glanced at him. He continued, saying that he had been involved in matters like this since he was a child, and handling that Urn would be no problem for him. 0

Hearing Gao Ling's casual tone made it seem like dealing with the Urn was no big deal. 0

But he didn't know that the original owner of the Urn had already caused four people to meet untimely ends. I followed Gao Ling upstairs. 0

However, as soon as we reached the top, I saw a brazier with bloodstains inside... 0

Upon seeing this, Gao Ling's expression changed slightly. 0

Gao Ling said, "Let's go in and take a look." 0

He grabbed the doorknob, and just as I wondered how he would enter, I heard a creak. The door actually opened. 0

Gao Ling remarked that the door wasn't closed, which allowed for the flow of negative energy. Then he stepped inside. 0

I followed him in, and what greeted my eyes was a room draped in black cloth; all the furniture was covered with it. It seemed the landlord thought this place was filled with bad energy. 0

It was a three-bedroom apartment, and we quickly finished our inspection. 0

In one of the rooms, I discovered a Passport Photo of the deceased. It appeared to have been overlooked during cleanup. I picked it up and took a look; the girl in the photo was quite pretty, far more attractive than the corpse. 0

Just as I was lost in thought, suddenly a dark shadow lunged toward me. 0

In a flash, I dodged, but still got hit. I let out a pained yelp, startled by the suddenness of it all. My heart racing, I finally caught sight of the culprit—a Black Cat—staring at me from the window, baring its teeth in a fierce snarl. 0

Gao Ling rushed over, and just as he arrived, the Black Cat slipped away through the window. 0

He glanced at me and asked, "What happened?" 0

"I just got scratched by a Black Cat." 0

"What? A Black Cat?" I nodded in affirmation. Gao Ling muttered something about it being bad news before sprinting downstairs. 0

I quickly followed him. 0

By now, it was nearly noon when Gao Ling and I reached the Spirit Tent. The place was empty. After examining the body, Gao Ling's face turned ashen. 0

He then pulled out his phone and said, "Fan Ge, do you want to take on a job? It's about cremating a body." After finishing his call, he hung up. 0

"Let’s go," he said to me. "We’re not getting involved in this." 0
