Under the vehicle of Manager Li, Xiao Yefeng returned once again to the Third Courtyard. At this moment, he noticed some ordinary people hurriedly circling around the vicinity of the Third Courtyard. Initially, Xiao Yefeng thought they were troublemakers sent by the Young Master, just like Huang Qiang. However, after observing for a while, he realized that these individuals were there to protect the Third Courtyard. 0

It made sense; with the Liu and Mei families involved, and the Mei Family being the landlord, it was only natural for them to react strongly after their eldest daughter's house had been burglarized. Moreover, given the status of the Liu Family as one of the Four Great Families of China, it was imperative that they enhance protection for their sole heir's residence against a Perverted Thief. 0

After bidding farewell to Manager Li, as Xiao Yefeng took out the key to the Third Courtyard from his backpack, he felt himself being targeted by at least two scopes. However, these were clearly observers watching him. Ignoring their presence, he unlocked the main gate of the Third Courtyard and stepped inside. 0

Upon entering the courtyard, Xiao Yefeng noticed that the glass cut by Huang Qiang had already been replaced. Through the refraction of light, he could tell that this glass had been upgraded entirely; what appeared to be ordinary glass was now special glass capable of withstanding sniper rifle bullets. 0

The previous night had been too dark, and when he arrived at the Third Courtyard, he had neglected to observe his surroundings due to a splitting headache. Now that he had some time on his hands, Xiao Yefeng was able to examine the Third Courtyard closely. 0

Xiao Yefeng had long recognized that this Golden House Courtyard was a Beautiful Grooming terrain within a feng shui site. According to old sayings in feng shui circles, mountains govern population while water governs wealth. This location had incoming water and outgoing water; thus, it was a place for accumulating wealth. However, without mountains present here, it indicated that while wealth could be gathered, it would only benefit women. This was also why many wealthy families sent their precious daughters to reside in the Golden House Courtyard. Of course, not having offspring also provided certain advantages to men associated with these women; after all, no one’s concubine or mistress could bear children in this place after its style underwent significant changes. 0

However, having long surpassed its Beautiful Grooming phase meant it was now a good layout for an ancestral home; staying here for too long would inevitably lead to problems. This was also why the Golden House Courtyard was only rented out to tenants for five years. In Xiao Yefeng's father's memories, there was a poem that stated: "In ancestral homes built on feng shui grounds, one must relocate every five years; without a Geomancer's guidance, calamity will surely descend upon humanity." 0

The Beautiful Grooming terrain resonated with the General's Seal terrain of Jade Sea Villa and was suppressed by the feng shui array of Flower Mountain Park. It truly transformed these two ancestral sites into livable homes. Xiao Yefeng really wanted to meet this master; although he could discern how these terrains corresponded and see the structure of the feng shui array, he knew that if tasked with arranging such large-scale formations in two giant villas himself, he would certainly not be able to accomplish it within one or two years. 0

Xiao Yefeng merely pondered this briefly before dismissing it from his mind. Regardless of who arranged this grand feng shui array, it was clear that its master was no ordinary person. Compared to these unachievable thoughts, Xiao Yefeng was more eager to understand the feng shui layout of the Third Courtyard. 0

Two years ago, Xiao Yefeng had been skeptical about such matters; however, over those two years, he had truly been convinced by his father's memories that feng shui's influence on people and events was very real. Although these effects were hidden beneath what ordinary eyes could not see, as the saying goes: "One cannot understand an industry without entering it." 0

In his memories of the Beautiful Grooming layout, there were three major energy-gathering spots: a comb holder, a powder box, and a dressing table. These were crucial locations within this terrain; if these three spots were not properly arranged in this divine site, everything would be in vain. From an aerial view of the Golden House Courtyard along the roadside, these three areas were represented by three iconic structures: Silver Comb Fountain, Crescent Platform, and Star-Gazing Tower. 0

Though these three buildings appeared unnaturally distributed at first glance, they pointed out where the Dragon Lair lay. The Dragon Lair is a collective term referring to the best spot within a feng shui treasure site; in relation to Beautiful Grooming feng shui layout, this Dragon Lair should be referred to as Yintang Point. 0

The Yintang Point was located not far from the One Courtyard. Even those unfamiliar with feng shui could sense something unusual. Although the Golden House Courtyard was situated in southern China, where the climate was suitable for the growth of shrubs, one could still discern the focal point of the feng shui arrangement. Starting from the outermost edge of the Golden House Courtyard, a keen observer would notice that the closer one got to the One Courtyard, the more vibrant the flowers and plants became. 0

Moreover, Hangzhou was known for its insects; where there were abundant flowers and plants, poisonous bugs would inevitably gather. However, in the vicinity of Yintang Point, aside from a few harmless flying insects and ants, any type of poisonous creature that could not tolerate fresh air would appear. This demonstrated the power of feng shui convergence. Yet, the One Courtyard where Yintang Point was located seemed to be locked up tightly, as if no one had lived there for a long time, which puzzled Xiao Yefeng greatly. 0

Clearly, those who built this place understood feng shui well or perhaps had a master to assist them. Knowing that this Dragon Lair at the brow was ideal, why wouldn’t they openly lease it? 0

Furthermore, the adjacent Second Courtyard had also been uninhabited for quite some time. What could be the reason for this? These thoughts troubled Xiao Yefeng. After circling around the villas within the Third Courtyard, he returned to the front gate. Upon opening it, he stepped into a room filled with fragrant aromas. 0

Just as Xiao Yefeng entered through the door, a wave of murderous intent washed over him from behind. This was a sharp instinct honed through years of life-and-death experiences; it had helped him evade several deadly crises in the past. 0

Suddenly bending down and quickly turning around, he spotted a glint of sunlight reflecting off binocular lenses from a rooftop diagonally across from the Third Courtyard's entrance. The light revealed the location of someone watching him. Upon seeing the flash from the binoculars, Xiao Yefeng let out a sigh of relief. Although it wasn't a sniper rifle, anyone harboring such murderous intent towards him could not be an old enemy. 0

They wouldn’t be so amateurish; at least they wouldn’t reveal their desire to kill while surveilling him. If they weren’t an old foe, then they must be a new adversary. Just out of prison for two days, Xiao Yefeng had only one enemy: Zhu Ganglie, who had clashed with him while waiting in line and was Huang Qiang’s boss. 0

At that moment, Xiao Yefeng glanced around before turning back to close the door. Just as he did so, the person who had been watching him picked up their phone and said into it, “Young Master, that guy is indeed living in the Third Courtyard. According to police reports, Huang Qiang has confessed but seems not to have betrayed you.” 0

“Hmm. Anyone who can take on Huang Qiang should be formidable. Do we have detailed information on him? Why is he able to stay in the Third Courtyard?” The voice on the other end was indeed Zhu Ganglie’s; however, there was clearly a woman’s moan in the background—evidence that Zhu Ganglie had a woman at his side who seemed to be selling herself for money. 0

“Young Master, I’ve already sent my friend to investigate. However, there’s very little record on this guy; it seems all information prior to his eighteenth birthday has been erased—it's blank. He was imprisoned in China’s most mysterious prison until he was released just two days ago; that’s all we have.” The man with binoculars crouched awkwardly on top of a villa. 0

“I don’t care who he is; as long as he isn’t from those few families, I want him dead—and I want it done quickly! You also need to get me that memory card. Huang Qiang hasn’t betrayed me, but that memory card is no longer in his possession; it’s clearly in this Xiao’s hands now. You should know how important that memory card is to me! Understand?” Vulture! 0

Zhu Ganglie's voice turned fierce at the last two words, "Vulture." At the same time, the man on the other end of the phone, referred to as Vulture, heard a woman's scream. It was clear that upon mentioning Xiao Yefeng, Zhu Ganglie's twisted nature had resurfaced, tormenting the woman nearby. With that scream, Vulture could almost guess that Zhu Ganglie had driven a red-hot iron rod into her body. As for where he had stabbed her, Vulture couldn't even bear to imagine how this woman would manage to relieve herself in the week following her injury. 0
