Under the night sky, a black mist streaked through the air, returning to a villa in the suburbs. Inside the Zhu Family villa, in a secret room surrounded by windows thickly covered with black cloth, a woman dressed in a plain white kimono suddenly collapsed onto the pristine tatami mat. The originally white fabric of her kimono was stained with splatters of blood, forming a vivid red plum blossom pattern.
With trembling fingers, she pressed a red button nearby. The alarm echoed throughout the Zhu Family Villa. The first to arrive was Zhu Ganglie's elderly father, whose aged face was filled with concern for the woman. Setting aside everything else, this affection between an older man and his younger wife was enough to speak volumes.
“Chieko! What happened? Are you alright?” Zhu Ganglie's father asked anxiously as he lifted his wife and wiped the blood from her lips.
At that moment, Zhu Ganglie rushed in, his face also marked with confusion. However, he knew more than his father did, yet he too was puzzled. This confusion had arisen the instant he received his mother’s distress signal.
“Cough! Don’t worry, Hikaru! I’ve been set up! Why is my protective Shikigami hurt like this?” The woman said after taking out a handkerchief from her kimono to wipe away the blood at her mouth.
