"Not good! I smell an unfamiliar presence approaching!" A thick American English voice echoed from within the house. Xiao Yefeng froze in place; how could this be? Another foreign demon? Was this situation orchestrated by foreign demons?
At that moment, another person in the room said, "No way, I didn't see anyone enter the yard! Is it possible that your nose has been overwhelmed by the smell of these animals, Evil Wolf?"
Laughter erupted from several people in the room. However, Xiao Yefeng felt a chill run down his spine; he had encountered an old acquaintance—Evil Wolf! The one who had made that mark was none other than Xiao Yefeng himself, using an internationally banned weapon—the ion assault rifle, which mercenaries favored. The manufacturer of this weapon was America, and it was banned due to its immense destructive power. While bullet-firing firearms were subject to strict regulations, ion assault rifles utilized laser technology.
The wounds inflicted by such weapons did not cause explosive damage or excessive bleeding; being hit by an ion weapon resulted in a smooth wound, resembling a clean hole without the need for healing. However, it possessed a perverse penetrating power that the human body could not withstand. Most importantly, bulletproof vests and helmets offered no protection against it.
Xiao Yefeng had aimed for Evil Wolf's forehead, but Evil Wolf's teammate had pushed him aside just in time. The ion beam grazed his ear, and his teammate paid the price with an arm.
