Upon hearing Jiang Xing's words, Liu Yiyi's face turned ashen, while Xiao Yefeng glanced at the documents in his hand and said, "Wealth is just an external matter. I can give everything from the Liu Family to them, but if they resort to such means, I, Xiao Yefeng, will never let them succeed! President, you should know this! If I go on a rampage in the Dead Sea Area, will I face international punishment? Will it bring trouble to the Metaphysics Society?"
Seeing Xiao Yefeng's expression, Jiang Xing realized that he could not stop him. Thus, Jiang Xing replied, "Don't go to the Dead Sea Area to hunt down the Venomous Shark gang. Even if you go west to slay the Western gods, the Metaphysics Society will stand behind you. Nowadays, there is no international system; the emergence of Gene Serum has changed the entire world. Clearly, strength is what matters!"
"Moreover, the Venomous Shark gang has repeatedly harmed ordinary people. Previously, due to the contract between Extraordinary Persons and ordinary people, we couldn't act. Now that these individuals have also accepted Gene Serum and become part of the Extraordinary Person circle, it is justified to hunt them down! If you're ready, go ahead. I will immediately gather personnel to assist you. Since we're doing this, we must do it thoroughly. I've heard that the Western Gods have dispatched a high-ranking individual to guard the Dead Sea Area. How about this? I'll send one of our top-tier individuals with you!"
Jiang Xing was also a decisive person. Although he couldn't intervene in matters within China due to racial reasons, he had never shown mercy towards foreign enemies. At this moment, Xiao Yefeng said, "Vice President Li needs to handle domestic affairs, and Cao Vice President must defend against potential incursions from the Western Gods. President, who will you send with me?"
"Wind, you don't think there are only three top-tier individuals in China, do you? Rest assured, China's foundation is not something that can be easily shaken. I'll make a trip to Heroic Spirit Mountain! You and Yiyi should prepare first! I guarantee that when you go to rescue people, you'll be absolutely secure!" Jiang Xing declared.
Seeing the President's confident demeanor, Xiao Yefeng realized he had underestimated China's strength. Just as Jiang Xing said, how could such a vast nation like China have only three top-tier individuals? So at this moment, Xiao Yefeng nodded and said, "President, let's meet at Cannibal Island where the Venomous Shark gang is entrenched in the Dead Sea Area!"
"Yes, we will launch an attack two days later. Wind, you must wait for our people to arrive before taking action; otherwise, without backup, it will be very difficult for you to escape even if you succeed in rescuing someone! You must understand that the Venomous Shark gang also possesses various missiles from the American Black Market! When that time comes, even if you save someone successfully without support, it will be hard for you to leave!" Jiang Xing reminded Xiao Yefeng as he was about to leave. He knew Xiao Yefeng all too well; there was no telling when he might act first!
At this moment, Xiao Yefeng looked at Liu Yiyi and nodded. "Don't worry, President; I know my limits! Yiyi, let's go! We need to prepare the documents!" With that, Xiao Yefeng took Liu Yiyi by the hand and left the room. There was no way around it; if they wanted to save someone, they needed a solid reason! Therefore, all of Liu Family's assets had to be properly documented. The Venomous Shark gang had been entrenched for so many years; they surely had many capable individuals among them—sneaking in would be impossible.
Meanwhile, Old Master Liu had already been sent to the hospital due to this incident. Now only Liu Yiyi remained from the Liu Family. Holding significant power now, Liu Yiyi quickly organized all of Liu Family's asset documentation; it was just a few contracts after all. It was strange how a single contract could swap identities between a millionaire and a beggar. All of Liu Family's assets from one of China's Four Great Families were now in Xiao Yefeng's hands; just a stack of contracts weighing about a pound could easily build an entire building.
However, this was merely Xiao Yefeng's speculation; if all of Liu Family's assets were exchanged for gold bricks instead of just one building—an entire district could be constructed with gold bricks alone. This represented Liu Family's foundation and strength as one of China's Four Great Families. Yet Xiao Yefeng paid no mind to these details as he pulled out a suitcase and tossed the documents inside. He and Liu Yiyi boarded a plane heading for the country with the highest temperatures near the equator.
At this moment in the Dead Sea Area on a medium-sized pirate ship within a crooked wooden structure sat several men and women bound hand and foot with rags stuffed in their mouths squatting in a corner. These individuals clearly hailed from various countries; their skin tones made that evident. However, they shared one common trait: their clothing exuded luxury—one glance revealed they were wealthy individuals.
Of course, this was also key to why they had been captured. At this time five men armed with machine guns sat in one corner near the door; four were playing cards while one intently watched these men and women huddled together in fear. The four playing cards remained vigilant as well; their machine guns were within reach at any moment.
“Sijo Ten, Century Egg, Venomous Fangs, Chen Si, pay up!” shouted a man in a red and white striped vest, his shiny head reflecting the light as he waved a card in the air.
“Damn! Blackie, you’re so lucky!” exclaimed a thin man of Asian descent, his skin darkened by the sun at sea.
“Seriously! Blackie, you didn’t cheat, did you? That’s my life savings!” protested a stout man, round as a gas canister.
“Hmph! Bring it on!” the last man tossed some money onto the table in front of Blackie.
With a satisfied grin, Blackie collected the three stacks of cash and began shuffling the cards. “Ha! Today, I’m on a winning streak. I suggest you all stop while you’re ahead; otherwise, you won’t even be able to afford your underwear next month!”
“Damn you! Just deal the cards; I never wear underwear!” The stout man, known as Century Egg, was clearly furious after losing.
Meanwhile, the sun-kissed Chen Si said, “Old Pi can’t keep playing! It’s just over a hundred thousand; we can’t go deeper into this!” He had clearly realized that something was off with Blackie’s dealing and was trying to stop his friend.
However, Venomous Fangs chimed in, “Hey! You never know; this hand might turn things around! Old Si, you’re just being timid. Look at how much more I’ve lost than Old Pi!”
Glancing at the two of them, Chen Si replied, “Today, we brothers are backing down. I didn’t expect that fellow comrades would scheme against us!” With that, he pulled Century Egg away from the gambling table. At that moment, Century Egg didn’t grasp what his friend was saying; having lost his entire life savings, he was about to throw a fit. Just then, Chen Si gave him a sharp knock on the head and said, “Stop being foolish; you’ve been played!”
“No way! Blackie and Venomous Fangs are our brothers!” Century Egg exclaimed in disbelief.
At that moment, both Venomous Fangs and Blackie insisted, “We’re all brothers here; Century Egg just had bad luck. How could we possibly scheme against him?”
Looking at the two who refused to admit it, Chen Si said coldly, “Brothers! Do I really have to spell this out for you? It might make future encounters awkward if we can’t see eye to eye!”
Venomous Fangs and Blackie exchanged a glance, both knowing they were in cahoots. At that moment, Chen Si felt a twinge of unease. After all, they had schemed against Century Egg, and if word got out, how could they ever establish themselves on Poison Shark Island? With that thought in mind, Blackie chuckled and said, "Oh come on! It's not that big of a deal! Since this money is Century Egg's coffin fund, and we're all good brothers here, let's just enjoy it! How about this: I'll take my share as a gesture of goodwill, and everyone can take their money back!"
Blackie was quite straightforward. He divided the money he had won into three parts, returning the largest portion to Venomous Fangs while pushing the remaining two portions toward Century Egg and Chen Si. Meanwhile, Blackie discreetly slipped the cards from the table into his sleeve. On the other side, as Century Egg counted his money, Venomous Fangs took the opportunity to retrieve several cards hidden under the table mat. The game ended on an unsatisfactory note as the five people in the room continued to keep watch over the captives in the corner.
Holding onto his regained money while watching over the prisoners, Century Egg nudged Chen Si with his elbow and asked, "Bro Chen! How did you figure out that Blackie and Venomous Fangs were plotting against me?"
Even now, Century Egg couldn't understand why Blackie, known as Black Pi Xiu, would so easily give back the money he had already won. It was common knowledge that in this place, one must accept defeat gracefully; if someone cheated you and you couldn't catch them in the act, you had lost. There were always rumors about Blackie cheating others, but those were usually from people who had lost money and felt resentful.
Now that it had happened to him, Century Egg still couldn't wrap his head around it. Chen Si replied, "You can tell something's off just by looking at today's lineup. Why do you think Old Jace and Vietnamese Guy switched positions with those two? Is guarding prisoners on the same level as watching over the Money Pit?"
The Money Pit was a cave on Poison Shark Island where captured women were held; it was essentially a place for imprisoning female slaves. Those who guarded it could freely toy with the imprisoned women. In contrast, this area held individuals who could bring profit to Venomous Shark; in other words, both men and women here were powerful figures with wealth—no matter how beautiful they were, no one dared to lay a finger on them.
Thus, the Money Pit was an ideal place for pirates on Poison Shark Island to guard their captives while this area was one no one wanted to stay in. Century Egg then said, "I see now. But why would Blackie so easily return that money?"
Although Century Egg didn't have much cash at that moment, what he held were black cards—anonymous international bank cards—each requiring a minimum deposit of one hundred thousand U.S. dollars to open! One hundred thousand American dollars was no small sum; at that moment, Century Egg had ten such cards in hand—savings accumulated over many years as a pirate.
"Why would he return the money? It's simple; look at this!" With a flourish like magic, two Ace of Spades appeared in Chen Si's hand. Upon seeing this, Century Egg finally understood: Chen Si had taken these two cards used for cheating from Blackie. This was the leverage against Blackie; no wonder Blackie had so readily returned the money earlier.
