On the side with fewer people, there were four cars. Among these four vehicles, three bore a unified emblem. A Tiger Shark surged against the waves, its five sharp teeth visible, while the two markings on its body confirmed its identity. The waves and the two tadpole-like patterns on the Tiger Shark represented the mark of Pisces in the Zodiac, and the five-toothed Tiger Shark was the original emblem of the Tiger Shark Team.
This could also be considered a symbol among international Mercenaries. Within the same team, wearing a unified emblem was essential. This particular Tiger Shark had been designed by five individuals together, especially notable was one tooth on the far right that was slightly crooked—an unintentional mark left by Xiao Yefeng. Little did Xiao Yefeng know that to this day, the Tiger Shark Team still retained this crooked-toothed Tiger Shark emblem.
The last car featured a woman with her back turned, behind whom floated a symbol belonging to Virgo. She held a light blue ribbon, which was the emblem of the team led by Consort Mi and Mo Fei. What was particularly striking were the other cars, all adorned with similar back-turned female emblems, though each held something different in their hands.
“Mousse! Come back! Are you really going to betray our leader?” shouted one of the initial voices from the Virgo team.
Among the Pisces team, a frowning White Man holding a machine gun said, “I don’t care! Let our leader spare Consort Mi. I, Mousse, will accept any punishment. If Consort Mi or anyone from our team makes a mistake, we have no objections. But what has Consort Mi done wrong? Why treat her this way?”
“Exactly! Hand over Consort Mi, and we will personally take her to face the Zodiac Master!” said a White Woman from the Tiger Shark Team, stepping forward.
The moment he saw this woman, Xiao Yefeng gritted his teeth and muttered under his breath. However, he knew it wasn’t the best time for him to reveal himself.
“Athena! Don’t think just because you’re called Athena that you are truly the goddess of war! Today you come here with the Tiger Shark Team to snatch someone from us; I wonder how you will explain this to the Star Master!” exclaimed another strikingly beautiful woman from the Pisces team.
This woman was familiar to Xiao Yefeng. Her name was Chris, another stunning beauty from Virgo. Unlike the cold demeanor of Consort Mi, Chris was a true social butterfly, charming and well-connected throughout the entire Zodiac. However, she didn’t like being compared to Consort Mi, whom others regarded as the true first beauty.
Now, for reasons unknown, Consort Mi had been punished by the leader of Virgo. At this moment, it seemed that Chris felt vindicated and would not allow anyone to rescue her rival. A woman with such strong jealousy naturally found it unacceptable for other beautiful women to shine; thus, she wouldn’t give any favorable treatment to Athena either.
“Nah! You sly fox, stop pretending! If the Star Master finds out you dared to lay hands on Consort Mi, I think it will be you who has trouble explaining!” she retorted. “To be honest with you all, we informed the Star Master before we came here. I believe once everything is clarified, you will know what fear truly is.”
Upon hearing about the involvement of the Star Master, Chris visibly trembled but quickly regained her composure and looked at Athena defiantly. “So what? With our leader present, even if she absorbs just a bit of power from Consort Mi, killing her won’t change how our leader is treated by the Star Master!” After saying this, it was clear that she had found her confidence again and began to act more arrogantly.
"I advise you not to wade into these murky waters. The power of the Twelve Zodiac Masters is beyond what we enhanced Gene Warriors can compare to. Their abilities are unique. Although Consort Mi's power is also quite special, I doubt that the Star Master would punish the Palace Master because of her. If the Palace Master were to gain even greater strength, I believe the Star Master would be even less inclined to offend her!" What was Zodiac trying to accomplish? Were they not afraid of igniting a civil war? Although they were nominally part of one organization, there were certainly many instances of covert killings among them. Even a small spark could ignite an internal conflict within Zodiac!
However, Xiao Yefeng caught onto a crucial detail: it seemed that the Virgin's Palace Master intended to use Consort Mi, who possessed special abilities, to enhance their own power. What exactly were they planning? At this moment, Xiao Yefeng felt anxious; he never expected things would become so complicated. The usually resourceful him found himself at a loss.
Just then, a distant arrow triggered a wave of combat between the two sides. For a moment, Xiao Yefeng thought there might be a Geomancer or Ability user attacking both parties!

He glanced at Sophia, who was hiding under her concealment talisman while holding a spear. Before he could ask about Xiao Sifei or Sophia's identity, he assumed that Sophia had accidentally discovered a method for condensing elements.
Yet elemental civilization had long been a thing of the past since the Atlantis era; thus, only Sophia could cultivate Elemental Power. The recent arrow had startled Xiao Yefeng; evidently, having Elementalists on this vast African grassland was not unusual. This individual who could use arrows combined with Gold Element energy must be similar to Sophia!
Pointing at the arrow embedded in the fallen man's body, Xiao Yefeng gestured to ask if she knew who had shot it. Although he didn't understand Sophia's words, he could see from her actions that she recognized this archer. Alu beside her nodded continuously; clearly both were aware of this person's existence. But at that moment, Xiao Yefeng couldn't dwell on these thoughts any longer because combat had already erupted due to this sudden attack.
Gunfire erupted as bullets sliced through the night sky. The Virgin members mistakenly believed they were being ambushed by the Tiger Shark Team and instinctively opened fire. The Tiger Shark Team quickly retaliated as bullets rang out amidst clattering sounds of metal hitting metal and shattering glass creating a symphony of chaos.
Unfortunately, from the sounds alone, Xiao Yefeng could tell that neither side was targeting each other specifically; after all, both belonged to one organization. If members from either side died at their own people's hands in such an open confrontation, it would be difficult to explain.
"How could this happen? Zhebie, did you take action?" Athena from the Tiger Shark Team asked through her earpiece.
"Big Sister! How could I use a bow and arrow? The one who just attacked is at eleven o'clock. Should I take action?" Zhebie, the sniper from the Tiger Shark Team, said.
"Forget it then. Their people dying would be in vain. In this kind of open battle, just firing a couple of shots is enough. We mustn't kill anyone! Otherwise, we won't be able to explain ourselves!" Athena replied.
At that moment, Sigaeo couldn't hold back any longer and spoke into the headset, "Big Sister, since we can't take them out and they won't hand over Consort Mi, how about we charge in? With all this mutual shooting, no one dares to hit anyone!"
Sigaeo's suggestion garnered agreement from several others. Athena, feeling a surge of frustration, furrowed her brows and said, "Everyone, provide cover fire while we charge in. Hit them hard, as long as no one dies!"
Athena's words were like a royal decree. Instantly, Sigaeo, who had been hiding behind a car, sprang up. Two heavy machine guns unleashed a torrential rain of bullets. In an instant, the Virgin side was completely suppressed behind their vehicle, too afraid to show themselves. It was during this moment that Athena and Mousse transformed into two black shadows under the cover of gunfire, darting past the vehicles and directly into the Virgin side's camp.

His facial structure had changed; his upper and lower jaws protruded slightly, and his teeth had become unusually sharp. Most notably, his ears had turned pointed—at this moment, he resembled a werewolf down to the last detail.
This was the genetic attribute of the two: Athena was adorned with faint golden transparent scales derived from a desert venomous snake's genes, while Mousse had integrated the proud wolf genes of werewolves—these wolf genes were the most prevalent among constellations since werewolves initially studied wolf genetics.
