However, she felt restless inside; this feeling made her uneasy, which was why she had invited Mei Mo'er to chat.

A strange buzzing sound echoed in Xiao Yefeng's ears like fine sand falling onto the ground.
What is this strange sound? Why does it resemble the Stinging Fragrance Bug from the Yin Yang Master of Wa Country? But how could such a sound occur? As the blade approached, Zero, wearing a hood, suddenly lifted his head and opened his mouth wide, spewing forth a burst of Deathfire Flame aimed directly at Xiao Yefeng's right arm holding the sword. In an exchange of life for life, Zero was willing to fight back.
Meanwhile, sitting in a chair, Virgo Palace Master observed Zero's actions and nodded in approval, muttering to himself, “Not bad; the intelligence enhancement potion is effective. He knows how to adapt!” He jotted down notes in his notebook.
I can't afford to trade injuries; with my Immortal Insect genes capable of reconstitution, I have no such luxury. Realizing this, Xiao Yefeng withdrew his sword to evade. However, he did not expect that instead of retreating, Zero advanced and grabbed hold of the sharp edge of the Mechanical Longsword. Instantly, his palm was cut open; yet despite this pain, he managed to lock onto the blade. With no other choice left, Xiao Yefeng had to abandon his sword; otherwise, if the Deathfire Flame ignited his arm, it would be disastrous.
Having lost his sword reduced Xiao Yefeng's strength by another twenty percent. At this moment, death's balance had tilted toward him.
