As New Year approached, Earth's Qi gradually dissipated. It was believed that within six months at most, there would be no trace of Qi left on Earth. At that point, humanity would truly enter a Technological Era; the last batch of cultivators would gradually regress into ordinary people due to their inability to absorb Qi. However, what drew the most attention were the giant Bats perched atop each tower, their wings spread wide. The Bats looked fierce or watchful, each facing a different direction as if on guard.
The castle's architectural style from the last century gave an oppressive feeling, making it seem as though one might struggle to breathe inside. At that moment, two figures stealthily approached, using the large trees outside the castle for cover.
The trees in this area had clearly been pruned by the castle's owner; there wasn't a single shadow within a hundred meters of the castle's perimeter, evidently to prevent anyone from sneaking in. The lights atop the four towers shone brightly; it was difficult to even get close to the estate. At this time, two figures leaned against a branch of the nearest tree to the estate—these two were Xiao Yefeng and Ilyana.

With Ilyana leading the way, Xiao Yefeng successfully arrived at the castle's dungeon. This vampire lair was indeed like a fortress; after winding through several rooms, they finally reached the entrance of the dungeon. However, they found themselves unable to proceed further.
According to Ilyana, the entrance to the dungeon connected to the chieftain's chamber. This meant that once the dungeon door was opened, the master of the castle would be alerted and would immediately seal all the doors they had just passed through. At that moment, Xiao Yefeng sensed that there was someone in the castle with strength comparable to his own, and he couldn't help but think of the missing Wu Kui.

To his astonishment, he even spotted a carousel right at the entrance. He looked at Ilyana in disbelief.
Ilyana seemed unfazed by it all as she sat on her carousel. "What do you want to do?" she asked.
"You're so clueless! No wonder you're half-crazy. Of course, I want to check out the dungeon! Your room is probably the safest place in this entire castle!" Ignoring Ilyana's confusion, Xiao Yefeng sat cross-legged at the door. His Spirit separated from his body and pierced through the castle into the underground prison—this was the brilliant idea that had come to him when he thought of Wu Kui.
For some reason, his Observer's Eye was suppressed within Ferald Castle. Whether it was due to this or issues with the materials used in constructing the dungeon, he couldn't see through to gauge the sunlight within. If only he could sense whether Mei Chuanqiong's energy was present in the dungeon, he would know if she was there.
