Life is such that some rise overnight while others lose everything in an instant. Meanwhile, trembling slightly, the man with the Black Card dialed a number saying, "Master! That land has been bought! Just minutes ago!"
"It's over! It's over!" The call ended as he crushed his phone in despair and left dejectedly. At this moment in an underwater base, Master looked at Mie and Duo saying, "That land has been bought; find out who did it immediately! We must acquire that land!"
"Yes!" Mie and Duo quickly exited the room sensing Master's fury; they dared not linger any longer.
As they left, behind Master appeared a masked figure known as Shen among the Four Young Masters. Master asked him directly: "Who first detected the altar's location?"
"Master! There are many speculations about this but I suspect it's him!" Shen nodded.
"Oh? Who is he? How could it be possible? He wouldn't have access to outer maps!" Master questioned.
At this moment Shen opened his collar and pulled down a bell hanging from his chest saying: "The connection between Four Treasures tells me he's currently in an area rich in Qi with abundant energy. Most importantly, I sense my Soul-Settling Bell left there has been destroyed!"
"All signs indicate he's right there—and he's bound just like I once was!" Shen continued.
"Fate is destined to be unresolved! Shen! Can you let go?" Master asked.
"Me? Do you think I can let go? Of course I can! But another part of me cannot!" Just as Shen finished speaking, the bell in his hand began to resonate without wind; a beam of light broke free from it and entered Shen's body. Instantly his aura shifted to one filled with coldness as he said chillingly: "I will not forgive anyone from the Xiao Family! Neither will he! Nor will I! You too! That old man far away in Africa will not escape either!"
Seeing Shen filled with malice made Master shake his head: "I truly regret it! Perhaps I shouldn't have survived back then!"
"Hmph! Don't forget your orders from God of Sorcery! Time is running out; the demon realm has already summoned its slaves for Dimension. The current state of Earth is unsatisfactory for God of Sorcery! Why hasn't the altar opened yet? Have you forgotten your oath?"
Changing tone as if Shen held higher status than Master now—his words carried an authoritative tone!
"We have basically gathered all Four Sacred Artifacts; during your time inside Soul Bell everything proceeded step by step. Jie has been sent back to Huaxia and handled perfectly—no one can discover Jie is now ours—just waiting for him to bring back Spirit Binding Silver Nail and third map so we can proceed with our next plan. Moreover there’s absolutely no issue regarding Gene Warriors; universalization is merely a matter of time—even if universalization fails at last—if we force them to take our potion they will all become loyal slaves to God of Sorcery!"
Master stated confidently.
"It better be so! I don't wish to see what happened years ago again! How is research on those twelve potions going?" Shen asked coldly.
"Basically completed; although we couldn't capture Experiment Subject Twelve who escaped—we’ve fully replicated last potion through researchers' memory replaying—all that's left is for altar to appear so we can complete ritual opening Dimension's gate!" Master replied.
"That’s best! Next time we meet I hope we’re at the altar—not this cold underwater place!" With that said light flashed back into the bell while Shen's original aura returned as he looked at Master saying: "So how is it? Is he still so domineering?"
"Sigh~ It's all my fault! You—you should go now! Take care of yourself!" Master seemed particularly concerned about Shen while feeling deeply apologetic towards him—it was hard to guess their identities.
At this moment Xiao Yefeng had arrived at this place rich in fortune; experiencing it firsthand made him realize how lucky yet unfortunate he truly was because here was indeed a spring where Qi erupted—but now only scattered wisps remained.
