The Unique Feng Shui Master
The Crimson-Faced Man, known as Craft Soul, was merely one of the entities in the vast realm of Yin Si. Through his narration and the murals that adorned the walls, Xiao Yefeng finally understood the intricate web of events that had led to his current situation. It turned out that the reason Zhao Yin Gate had come to him was indeed due to the assistance of Cheap Brother and Brother Bai. Everything had to start from the beginning.
Every planet that gives birth to life is a Dimension, and the strength of the intelligent beings within that Dimension determines its level. From highest to lowest, they are classified as Top-Level Dimension, Low-Level Plane, Intermediate Plane, Low-Level Dimension, and Primal Dimension.
Even in the records of Yin Si, the Top-Level Dimension is an elusive existence; its very existence remains uncertain. No souls from Low-Level Dimensions have ever reincarnated here, which is quite normal since there are beings in the Low-Level Plane who can reincarnate without needing Yin Si's Reincarnation. Thus, the Top-Level Dimension remains shrouded in mystery.
Aside from this nebulous Top-Level Dimension, all known intelligent life Dimensions must undergo the life cycle dictated by Yin Si. Even an ant on Earth follows this rule, which explains why Xiao Yefeng had just witnessed six bizarrely shaped reincarnation pathways outside.
According to Craft Soul's introduction, there are three Low-Level Planes and over a dozen Intermediate Planes recorded under Yin Si, with more than ninety Low-Level Dimensions. Much like a quadrant division, Yin Si serves as the core of these Dimensions. It governs the Reincarnation of life but does not intervene in these lives. The three major Low-Level Planes consist of the Divine Realm, which prides itself on righteousness; the Demon Realm, where power reigns supreme; and Yin Si, which deals with souls.
The Intermediate Planes must choose sides; Yin Si remains neutral between both factions and does not accept support from any Dimension. Consequently, these Intermediate Planes find themselves caught between the Divine Realm and Demon Realm, making them key players in the War of Gods and Demons. Below them lie nearly a hundred Low-Level Dimensions. Unlike Intermediate Planes, which can be swayed by benefits from Low-Level Planes, Low-Level Dimensions must submit unconditionally.
Most Dimensions are unaware that they are being conscripted by Divine Demons, leading one civilization after another toward destruction. New civilizations arise solely for another round of conscription by Divine Demons; waves of cannon fodder emerge this way. For those in Low-Level Dimensions, whether they live or die is of no concern to Divine Demons. This thought made Xiao Yefeng's heart tremble—much like how people on Earth pour molten metal into ant nests just to understand their internal structure; would they care if there were ants inside?
The unlimited conscription of people from Low-Level Dimensions as cannon fodder is similar. However, the laws governing Dimensions have granted Low-Level Dimensions an opportunity—an opportunity now presented before Earth. Under the conscription of the Low-Level Plane, they could arrive early at Yin Si, which governs Reincarnation, and initiate a century-long infusion of Chaos Energy to defeat their conscriptors. If they meet the conditions for advancement to Intermediate Plane during this period...
Then as a newly promoted Intermediate Plane entity, they would have grounds to refuse conscription and allow themselves sufficient time to develop their strength. This represents Earth's only chance—a chance that cannot be declined.
At this moment, Xiao Yefeng also realized that Earth—recorded as Blue Star—had witnessed everything since the birth of its first intelligent life form. The laws governing Dimensions categorized them into four types: Low-Level Dimension, Intermediate Plane, Low-Level Plane, and Top-Level Dimension. Beyond these four categories lies a fifth type: Primal Dimension. When Earth was first discovered through techniques, it was identified as a Primal Dimension.
The Primal Dimension is closest to Transcendence among Top-Level Dimensions while also being nearest to Low-Level Dimensions. As for why such polarization exists? It all stems from Chaos Energy's presence. Chaos Energy is the source of all life; it represents Qi in its most primal form—Qi grants power to cultivators while Chaos Energy bestows wisdom and life itself.
In the memories of Dao Wine, Xiao Yefeng witnessed the Sorcerers, who rode on Flying Swords, arriving on Earth to slay the monstrous beasts. After capturing all the beasts, these individuals left behind their cultivation methods. It seemed they had removed a threat from Earth; however, this was only part of the truth. The Sorcerers had also eliminated the potential for Earth to become a Top-Level Dimension.
The reason for this stark polarization lay in the fact that the beasts slain by the Sorcerers were truly born from Chaos Energy. These creatures possessed infinite possibilities, and under sufficient Chaos Energy, they might have evolved into humans. However, the appearance of the Sorcerers halted everything, turning Earth into a birthplace of cannon fodder. Moreover, Dao Wine's memories were incomplete; according to Yin Si's records, the founder of the Sorcery, known as the God of Sorcery, had taken away ninety percent of Earth's Chaos Energy at its inception. This was fundamentally why Earth began as a Low-Level Plane and ultimately became a Low-Level Dimension.
Despite his anger, Xiao Yefeng understood that the actions of the God of Sorcery were not without justification. Naturally, unclaimed resources would be seized by those capable of doing so. As a successor, Xiao Yefeng did not refute this; it was simply how things were meant to be. Everything about Earth unfolded before his eyes—the initial Dinosaur Civilization was the best representation of this. Dinosaurs emerged from chaos and were among the few chaotic products that escaped slaughter by the Sorcerers.
However, one escape did not change the outcome; instead, it revealed to the God of Sorcery a method for birthing formidable warriors. Thus, generation after generation of Earth’s civilizations were born from sorcery and ultimately perished by it. Each Guardian made their sacrifices for this cycle until it was finally time for the Xiao Family. The previous Guardian, who ruled over Earth, Qing and Jie’s father, achieved a significant victory at last. Consequently, Earth entered its first era transformation in history—the transition from Cultivation Civilization to Technological Civilization.
A storm surged within Xiao Yefeng's heart as he realized how everything had unfolded. Humanity's scientific research had reached such heights, yet its ultimate endpoint still felt so distant. Given another hundred years without the infusion of Chaos Energy, even a millennium later, humanity might not break free from the shackles of Low-Level Dimension. From Craft Soul's words, Xiao Yefeng also understood that Chaos Energy was at the core of progress.
Chaos Energy granted life to beings, bestowed wisdom upon life, and enabled leaps in intelligence. Xiao Yefeng realized that humanity's Technological Era originated from a collision with Chaos Energy—a collision that marked the beginning of this era during the last Guardian's battle against Perfect World.
The explosion of Chaos Energy led to a rapid leap in human intelligence for some individuals, directly advancing the transition between the cultivation age and Technological Era. This advancement should have occurred millennia ago; however, it was delayed because the God of Sorcery took away ninety percent of Earth's Chaos Energy.
With an understanding of these events came an awareness of their consequences. The existence of the Gate of the Underworld was eternal and ancient—a dimension with life that needed to communicate with Yin Si to ensure new life could continue. Thus, Yin Si became known as the place of all reincarnation and also served as a destination for every Guardian seeking to elevate their dimension level.
The boundary for Intermediate Plane required that a Low-Level Dimension possess ten thousand Peak Level warriors. The minimum standard for these warriors matched Xiao Yefeng's current state and required them to be semi-permanent. In other words, there needed to be ten thousand individuals at combat levels equivalent to Xiao Yefeng or Master—not merely ten thousand modern weapons capable of defeating them.
To put it simply: currently on Earth, Gene Warriors were widespread and technology advanced. If one person donned Armor or wielded weapons and could reach Xiao Yefeng's level, they would count towards this requirement; however, disposable weapons did not qualify!
Of course, if it remained this way, Xiao Yefeng would have faith in human intelligence. After witnessing an infusion of Chaos Energy leading to an explosive leap in wisdom, he understood that with a hundred years' worth of Chaos Energy infusion, Earth could certainly meet its advancement requirements. Yet what troubled him were past civilizations like Maya and Atlantis that had once opened paths for advancement.
However, they all failed because during their infusion with Chaos Energy, Earth's dimensional coordinates would be fully exposed beneath all dimensions. In that hundred years' time frame, enemies would not be limited to just sorcery!
However, this matter is inevitable. According to the records of Yin Si, without the infusion of Chaos Energy, Earth is no longer capable of nurturing intelligent life once again. In other words, if we lose this time, Earth will become a dead planet like many others.
Moreover, under the infusion of Chaos Energy, the Low-Level Plane has the right to intervene and assist the growth of the Low-Level Dimension. Although the Low-Level Plane cannot directly interfere, it can observe, which is even more terrifying than knowing when Earth will meet its demise!
"Guardian! Have you made up your mind? I must remind you that in a civilized era, the Gate of the Underworld can only be opened once. If you give up now..." Before Craft Soul could finish, Xiao Yefeng interjected, "I've made up my mind. I will open the path to advancement; I believe in those who live for freedom!"
"Very well. When you return, within three days, Earth will undergo an infusion based on a century's worth of Chaos Energy. However, I must remind you that this base number depends on how much people can absorb. Do you understand?" Craft Soul said.
Upon hearing this, Xiao Yefeng was taken aback. He understood Craft Soul's meaning: the number of people eligible for advancement was set at ten thousand. This century's worth of Chaos Energy would indeed be based on ten thousand people. While a hundred years seems substantial, when averaged out, it would actually be insufficient. Moreover, this Chaos Energy is uncontrollable; those from Perfect World would also benefit from it.
Despite this, Xiao Yefeng gritted his teeth and said, "I understand! However, I have one thing I want to ask. Can you tell me?"
Craft Soul remained expressionless. Every individual seeking to elevate their Dimension level under the manipulation of Divine Demons was like this; he had seen too many such situations before. Thus, Craft Soul nodded and said, "As long as it does not violate Yin Si's laws! Of course, even if it does violate them, you can ask; I may choose not to answer!"
