The Unique Feng Shui Master
"I understand! You can go first; I will contact Number One later!" Xiao Yefeng dismissed the flying vehicle that had landed on the rooftop. The leaps of the Technological Era had allowed such theoretical flying machines to become a reality, especially those capable of crossing the borders of hostile nations, which could traverse the visible landscape in an instant. Of course, this ability was not true spatial jumping; it was merely the limit of current technological speed.
After watching the flying vehicle disappear, Xiao Yefeng stood on the rooftop for a long time without moving, observing the sunlight lazily filtering through the leaves onto the ground. Slowly, he sat at the edge of the rooftop. The Tricolor Jade Ring on his finger shimmered, and the long-absent Yin-Yang Sword reappeared on his lap. Grasping the Yin-Yang Sword, Xiao Yefeng carefully wiped away any dust that could not possibly cling to it. The sword seemed to sense his touch, and a gentle Inspiration appeared along its blade.
Putting away the Yin-Yang Sword, Xiao Yefeng took out the Bagua Mirror. Ever since Chaos Energy descended, Earth's Qi had finally declared its complete disappearance. Moreover, Xiao Yefeng could no longer calculate anyone's life force. This was due to being blinded by Dao. After another forced attempt that nearly resulted in his death from backlash, Xiao Yefeng had not attempted any calculations since. He understood that with Earth's future uncertain, everyone's fate was in flux; even Dao did not know what lay ahead, so how could he calculate it clearly?
Calmly operating Carefree Righteousness, the vast galaxy flowed through Xiao Yefeng's meridians. A four-legged beast resembling a dragon or a qilin galloped through the starry Inspiration within him. This was a manifestation of the Qi within Xiao Yefeng now; there was no longer any trace of Dragon Balls in his dantian. The Qi ball within his Spirit Platform had also vanished, replaced by two golden spheres radiating Dragon Qi and Qilin energy.
As he continued to cultivate, Xiao Yefeng discovered that these were more akin to Pangu's Dragon Balls. Was it possible that humans would all possess something like this at their ultimate cultivation? His thoughts were not unfounded; every warrior who practiced according to his and Sophia's and Mo Fei's methods would give birth to a similar sphere. However, unlike Xiao Yefeng, their spheres would reflect whatever genes they possessed.
Each time his cultivation improved, the spheres grew stronger. Realizing this issue, Xiao Yefeng understood that for Low-Level Dimensions to evolve, their own growth was ultimately most important; all external forces could only assist. Just like in the Nine-Tiered Demon Tower, where Xiao Yefeng killed beasts to obtain Beast Cores—what people in Low-Level Planes referred to as Demon Crystals—humans were now also treading this path!
Thus, Xiao Yefeng understood that the evolution of Dimensions ultimately relied on physical growth. He had grasped this point early on when he informed all factions on Earth about it after breaking free from Number One at the beginning of the new calendar. He believed that those from Perfect World must have already known about this issue. Their knowledge did not imply that other factions were aware as well; thus, although they still lived in a Technological Era, research into technological weapons was no longer solely focused on technology itself but had shifted towards enhancing human capabilities over recent years.
Feeling different from others who possessed a single golden core within their bodies, Xiao Yefeng had conducted extensive research on his two golden cores over these years. At this moment, as he operated Carefree Righteousness, the beast resembling a dragon or qilin within his starry spiritual sea suddenly sensed Xiao Yefeng's call. With a wide mouth opening, both golden cores began to rise and spin as a Phenomenon appeared behind him.
A pair of golden Sun Avatars—a dragon and a qilin—transformed into a sword immortal clad in blue robes and a giant clad in golden armor. The appearances of both figures were nearly indistinguishable from Xiao Yefeng's own. Together they lifted the palm-sized Bagua Mirror into the air, which then transformed into a massive Bagua Diagram as swirling Talismans flew around like a tornado.
At that moment, in front of the wooden building's open space, two radiant young women sat at a wooden table chatting merrily. Each one was an unparalleled beauty with skin like cream and brows like crescent moons. The Phenomenon above startled the Two Goddesses; they ceased their laughter and stood up together to look at Xiao Yefeng on the rooftop.
"Consort Mi! It seems Brother Feng is about to make a move again!" said the girl in a light blue dress on the left.
"Yes! I suspected it ever since that military aircraft arrived!" replied the girl in green attire.
The two individuals in question were Liu Yiyi and Consort Mi. However, they were not the only ones disturbed by the Phenomenon; two children, around eight or nine years old, stood nearby with wooden swords in hand. The strange occurrence on the roof made them drop their weapons and rush towards the Two Goddesses.
“Mom! What is Dad doing? Isn’t that Uncle Long and Uncle Lin?” asked the slightly taller child.
“That’s your father! He’s busy! But he’ll be occupied again soon!” Consort Mi replied, holding her child close.
“Mom, is Dad going to leave us again? Didn’t he just come back?” the shorter child clung to Liu Yiyi.
“You may not understand this now, but just like you two, your father’s good brother has been taken away, and he needs to go save him. Shouldn’t he go?” Liu Yiyi squatted down to look at the children.
As Liu Yiyi had said, the two children clearly did not comprehend fully, yet they were sensible enough to nod in agreement and say, “He should go!”
Liu Yiyi and Consort Mi exchanged glances, shook their heads, and then took their children upstairs. At that moment, the Phenomenon had already entered Xiao Yefeng's body, and the Bagua Mirror hung in his arms with a mournful cry.
“Dad! Dad!” Two bright voices called out as a pair of fledglings dove into Xiao Yefeng's embrace. He smiled as he lifted them up on either side and kissed them before asking, “What’s wrong? Your eyes are red; have you been crying?”
The children clearly understood what Xiao Yefeng was about to do and chimed in unison, “Dad is going to save someone; we support you!”
Seeing these innocent children, Xiao Yefeng nodded appreciatively. Just then, the Two Goddesses arrived on the rooftop. Xiao Yefeng smiled and said, “Let’s go; the wind is picking up! We can talk inside!”
Holding both children, Xiao Yefeng led them into the living room. Looking at the Two Goddesses, he said, “You all know what’s happening! Fei Ge and Sophia are missing! I can’t just ignore it, but…” He glanced at the two children meditating nearby before turning back to the Two Goddesses; his worried expression spoke volumes.
“Big Baby, you don’t need to worry. We are more than capable of protecting them. But you… time is running out. If you remain lost in familial affection, you will betray your identity as Guardian. Ever since Great Treasure was born, I’ve noticed it—Wind! You’ve changed!” Consort Mi stated.
“Have I changed? I married you both and have experienced great disasters with Great Treasure. Isn’t it my duty to protect you?” Xiao Yefeng was taken aback by Consort Mi's sudden words.
"That's right, this is what a man should do, but these are things an ordinary man would do. You are the Guardian; have you forgotten that you cannot prevent the downfall of the Perfect World? It's one thing for Earth to become a colony, but if it ends up like other civilizations, completely destroyed, how long can you protect us?" Consort Mi said.
"Yes! Sister Mi is right. Brother Feng, you know very well that very few people can harm us now, yet you still stay at home. This is such a departure from the old you. The appearance of Big Baby has dulled your spirit!" Liu Yiyi added.
The words of the two Wives instantly shattered Xiao Yefeng's thoughts. He had intended to take care of Mo Fei and Sophia's matters himself; he had already planned to go out immediately and return home as quickly as possible to continue spending time with his wives and their lovely children. However, Liu Yiyi and Consort Mi's words pierced through him like a Steel Needle, making him realize so much in an instant.
At that moment, Xiao Yefeng gently stroked Big Baby's hair, sighed softly, and said, "We will return to Beijing North right away. Big Baby also needs to go back to the Metaphysical New Humanity School to continue her classes!"
As soon as Xiao Yefeng finished speaking, the two children cheered joyfully. They had been picked up from school by Xiao Yefeng because he was on leave, and now it was time for school again. The children were even more eager about their school life than being with their parents.
Looking at the two kids, Xiao Yefeng nodded at the Two Goddesses, who smiled in response and turned to pack their bags. What Xiao Yefeng didn't know was that Liu Yiyi shed a tear; who wouldn't want their husband by their side? Yet her husband was the guiding light for Earth's future. Everyone else could enjoy the warmth of family and dreams of affection, but her husband could not!
Seeing Liu Yiyi looking somewhat sad, Consort Mi patted her shoulder. The Two Goddesses had served one husband for many years and understood each other's feelings better than real sisters. A single gesture or glance was enough for them to comprehend each other's thoughts!
At this moment, Xiao Yefeng calmly watched his two wives packing while feeling joy from his son and daughter. He realized that wanting to be with his wife and children all the time was perfectly normal—especially for someone like him who had never experienced familial love. Imagine Xiao Yefeng losing his parents at five years old and then losing his uncle six months later, entering a world where killing and completing missions became his purpose.
At less than six years old, he spent every day learning cold languages, weapon knowledge, assassination techniques, reconnaissance, counter-reconnaissance—a series of skills that Mercenaries and even assassins needed to master—all while surviving rigorous selection processes.
By the time Xiao Yefeng was just a teenager, he had officially become a member of a Mercenary team, completing missions alongside older Mercenaries in their twenties or even thirties or forties. Beyond camaraderie in battle, Xiao Yefeng had no emotional life belonging to humanity.
