At that moment, Xiao Yefeng looked up and saw a desolate mountain standing among the buildings. He pointed at it and said, "I don't care about what you're researching here; I want to go see that mountain!"
"No way! That's a military restricted area! It's dangerous; you can't go there!" The Captain quickly responded but realized he had misspoken. He fell silent immediately, changing his hand gesture as it was clear that the particle cannons were being reactivated!
Seeing the tense state of the Captain and his subordinates, Xiao Yefeng declared, "I’m going to Evil Mountain! Anyone who tries to stop me will regret it!"

The soldiers responsible for guarding were all elite fighters with over fifty percent gene synchronization rates. However, against Xiao Yefeng, they were clearly outmatched. They could only see a flash of light vanish into thin air as the recharged particle cannons lost their target due to manual control.
"What do we do?" one soldier asked the Captain.

"What! Do they already know?" The Captain trembled as he answered the call. Just as he was about to report, a voice came through the line, "No need to report! Xiao Yefeng has arrived at your location, right? Let him be! Have you checked the upper part of Evil Mountain?"
"No! Commander! As you know, Evil Mountain has long been out of control. Right now, we can only ensure that those dangerous test subjects do not escape!" the Captain replied.
"Call everyone back! All researchers and military personnel from various countries must withdraw! A battle is about to take place!" the voice ordered.
"Understood!" the Captain responded.
After ending the call, the Captain arranged for the soldiers to evacuate. He believed that the battle referred to was between Xiao Yefeng and China's High-Level forces. However, as he organized the evacuation, waves of powerful individuals from various nations began to arrive, further confirming his suspicions.
Meanwhile, Xiao Yefeng had already reached the outskirts of the desolate mountain. As he approached, he noticed a significant issue: a thirty-meter-high electromagnetic net. The faint arc of electricity warned Xiao Yefeng that even those among the new humans with a fifty percent gene synchronization would perish in this electric web.
For Xiao Yefeng, this level of current was far too weak. He swept aside a corner with his sword and entered the range of the desolate mountain. At that moment, grotesque humanoid beasts emerged!
These creatures were various forms of genetically altered Beast Transformation subjects. However, from their hollow eyes, Xiao Yefeng could see they had lost their sanity and humanity—failed experiments! Upon seeing this, Xiao Yefeng immediately understood the source of it all!
Years ago, he had completed a mission rescuing several researchers who were besieged by these beasts and had their sentences reduced as a result. Back then, Perfect World was researching Gene Fusion technology, but their research was too primitive, resulting in Experiment Subjects transforming into completely non-human beasts. Now that technology had advanced significantly, various countries were once again collaborating on a new generation of Gene Serum fusion research. It was pitiful because Xiao Yefeng felt sympathy for himself, having been deceived so thoroughly. And it was infuriating that China was secretly conducting such research behind his back! Just as Xiao Yefeng stood there with his sword in hand, laughing bitterly at himself, Mo Fei arrived with Xiao Ling and Jiang Xing.
Seeing Xiao Yefeng's self-mockery, Jiang Xing said, "Feng, everything can be explained; let me explain!"
