"I’m used to slaughtering livestock, so I think it would be better to handle this separately."
Can you believe this sounds like something a person would say?
The yellow fat clogging the sewer, the bits of meat and bone in the trash can, and the body tissues flowing into the market all indicate just how cruel the killer is.
And look at this bag; doesn’t it perfectly fit a round watermelon? Doesn’t this long object resemble a shinbone?
Time: May 3, 2014. Location: Tianhe District, Guangzhou.
It was during the Labor Day Holiday, bustling with activity, and hotels were busier than usual. At noon, Aunt Zhang arrived at Room 316 as she did every day. However, Aunt Zhang found this room to be extremely strange because it was so clean that it seemed as if no one had ever stayed there.
But in the next moment, Aunt Zhang would think differently. As she entered the bathroom wearing gloves, a piercing scream echoed from within.
"I found it very odd that the water wouldn’t drain at all. I quickly grabbed some pliers and pulled out something truly horrifying—things I had never seen before."
This incident turned Aunt Zhang into Sister Zhang. So what did she actually see? Carefully, she fished something out of the sewer; to her shock, it was a pile of pus-yellow objects that looked like animal fat.
Clogged sewers are common in hotels, but looking at this yellow fat in front of her, Sister Zhang felt that something was terribly wrong.
"That stuff was both fishy and foul-smelling; I almost threw up. Looking at it again, it didn’t even seem like livestock! I shouted for the front desk clerk to hurry and call the police."
After receiving the report, the police quickly arrived at the hotel where the incident occurred. Although they were unsure if a murder had truly taken place, if it was indeed dismemberment, then this would be an extremely serious criminal case with severe implications. Therefore, they dared not delay and immediately began investigating the scene.
As for whether this was a murder or what exactly this piece of fat was, they would have to wait for the forensic team to arrive to find out.
Upon preliminary investigation, the items at the scene were neatly arranged with no abnormalities, but an Investigator followed a peculiar scent to the end of the corridor. Suddenly, the Investigator discovered something strange in the trash can.
"When we opened that plastic bag, everyone present was stunned. Besides some household waste, there were several pieces of meat and some small bones inside."
If these items were connected to the unidentified objects in the room, it would be quite terrifying. Just then, the forensic expert finally arrived at the scene.
Forensic pathology is an extremely meticulous job, recognized as one of the dirtiest, most exhausting, and most arduous professions. Additionally, the forensic expert found some splattered bloodstains on the wall. These splattered bloodstains are caused by external force impacts.
After a preliminary examination, the forensic expert determined that these remains belonged to a female. But who was she?
What exactly happened? The Investigator immediately went to the front desk to check the recent check-in records. According to the beautiful receptionist at the front desk, a stunning woman named Yang Muqing had checked into that room. She was born on October 28, 1986, and checked in on the night of April 30.
The police promptly contacted Yang Muqing's family, who reported that Qingqing had gone out to enjoy the Labor Day Holiday and had not been heard from since. Could it be that Qingqing had truly fallen victim? How could a delightful Labor Day Holiday turn into a ruthless slaughter, becoming her final journey?
The Investigator then reviewed the surveillance footage from that night. Qingqing checked in at 9:12 PM. Nine minutes later, she came downstairs to the front desk and took something before going back upstairs; this was her last recorded moment in this world.
Throughout history, many beautiful women have met tragic fates; who would pity their demise? Qingqing could never have imagined that soon she would encounter one of the most horrifying events of her life. Meanwhile, through an Autopsy, the forensic expert concluded that Qingqing's time of death was likely between 10 PM on April 30 and 1 AM on May 1.
This meant that Qingqing encountered misfortune shortly after checking into the hotel, while Aunt Zhang noticed something unusual three days later. What could have happened during those three days? Perhaps surveillance footage could provide better answers—specifically regarding a mysterious man wearing a baseball cap and mask.
In the three days following the incident, this man entered and exited the hotel multiple times, always coming empty-handed and leaving with something. He walked out of the hotel nonchalantly as if no one were around and then turned left into a small alley.
It wasn't until May 3 in the morning that hotel staff processed Room 316's checkout, after which he vanished from view. The beautiful receptionist noted that due to it being Labor Day Holiday, there was a high volume of guests everywhere, so she didn't pay much attention.
However, what surprised the police even more was that this man arrived at the hotel just half an hour after Qingqing checked in. Could he be the true culprit behind Qingqing's murder? The unfolding events would undoubtedly challenge your understanding; bizarre twists would hardly suffice to describe this case's intrigue.
The Investigator analyzed that this man had significant suspicion of being involved in premeditated murder.
How would the police track down this well-disguised mysterious man? After repeatedly reviewing the video footage, the Investigator finally discovered an important detail: after checking into her room that night, Qingqing returned to the front desk again. What did she take with her? According to the beautiful receptionist at the front desk, Qingqing had taken a dental kit at that time.
In the interrogation room, the police learned that the mysterious man was named Zhang Jian, a 35-year-old who had been sentenced to five years in prison for robbery in 2010. After his release, he worked as a butcher in a slaughterhouse. But what kind of entangled relationship did he have with Qingqing?
However, during the subsequent investigation, the police discovered that the relationship between Zhang Jian and Qingqing was far from simple. It turned out that a year ago, an accident in Dalang was caused by Zhang Jian's reckless driving. What were the odds that a couple would meet their demise at the hands of the same person within a year?
"It was that woman who paid me to kill her husband."
"Did she say why?"
"We just take the money and do the job; we don't ask questions."
According to Zhang Jian, a year ago, Qingqing had given him 300,000 yuan and instructed him to stage a traffic accident. But why did he then turn against his employer? Was there someone else who had hired a hitman to take Qingqing's life? It was time to bring forth the true mastermind behind this plot.
Indeed, it was this old man, He Qiang, standing at just 1.56 meters tall, aged 43 in 2010 and a leader in some organization.
He Qiang revealed that he had known Qingqing for three years, having met her at a dinner party where they gradually became close friends. However, when their relationship was discovered by Dalang, Qingqing asked He Qiang what to do. He Qiang introduced Zhang Jian to her, claiming that this guy could kill without blinking.
Unexpectedly, after Dalang left, Qingqing became even more devoted to He Qiang and wanted to make their relationship public.
But He Qiang, wanting to protect his position, could not openly acknowledge their affair. This infuriated Qingqing, who threatened him with scandals. He Qiang was not one to back down easily; under pressure, he had no choice but to contact Zhang Jian again and arrange for him to send Qingqing and Dalang below to reunite.
As the saying goes, those who are overly sentimental and unjust will ultimately bring about their own demise. It's not that revenge isn't served; it's just that the timing hasn't come yet!
