I pulled Wang Wei back, noticing the red streaks of blood splattered across Chen San's face, covering it entirely. Yet, Wang Wei seemed oblivious to it; I guessed he hadn't seen. 0

I positioned myself in front of Wang Wei, who innocently asked me what was wrong. I didn’t respond directly but turned to Chen San and asked, "What do you want?" 0

Chen San glanced at me, and slowly the blood on his face faded away, revealing a sickly pale complexion once more. 0

"I don’t want to die here. Don’t drag me down with you," Chen San said. 0

Wang Wei cursed under his breath, but Chen San ignored him. Wang Wei seemed ready to say more, but I shot him a look. Lowering my voice, I warned Wang Wei, "As you said, this guy is really sinister. Be careful." 0

Wang Wei nodded, his face contorting into an exaggerated expression that made him look somewhat comical. 0

Chen San continued to move forward. At that moment, there was no need for me to provoke him further. Before I descended into the well, Ke'er had entrusted me with certain matters that I still hadn’t figured out. 0

What else was hidden down there besides Sarira? 0

Having been to the well before, Wang Wei had some understanding of it. As Chen San distanced himself from us, Wang Wei turned to me and whispered, "Saning, this guy has definitely been here before; he knows this place too well." 0

Previously, Wang Wei had come here once but lost a life in the process. If what he said was true—that this person had been here and made it out alive—then his skills were truly remarkable! 0

We continued moving forward. Along the way, I noticed some Light Spots floating past us, and the deeper we went, the colder it felt. 0

This tomb was dug over ten meters underground; the monk had certainly put some thought into it. Yet it had still been discovered. 0

"Wang Wei, we’ll reach our destination after walking a bit further," he said to me. 0

But at that moment, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was following me from behind. 0

I couldn't help but ask Wang Wei if there was anything else here besides the red Relic. Wang Wei said he didn't know, and when we arrived, he didn't even see the red Relic and was scared to death. 0

After hearing this, I cursed Wang Wei for being useless. 0

Wang Wei laughed awkwardly a few times. The tomb passage was eerie, stretching forward before turning a corner, continuing onward until a stone door appeared ahead. 0

Chen San opened the stone door in no time. 0

When the door swung open, I was shocked to see a dazzling golden light inside. Could this be the Buddha's light that Ke'er mentioned? 0

Without any hesitation, Chen San stepped inside. 0

Wang Wei followed him in since he had a physical body to possess and wasn't affected much. 0

Seeing the golden light made me doubt Wang Wei's words. If it were an Evil Monk, would his Sarira really emit such brilliant golden light after death? 0

Wang Wei peeked around at the entrance for a moment before entering as well. Just before going in, he said to me, "Saning, if we manage to get the Sarira, remember to save one for me. If my body is destroyed, maybe this thing can bring me back to life." 0

Wang Wei's words suddenly jolted my thoughts. If Sarira could truly resurrect the dead, then perhaps Ke'er also had a chance of coming back. 0

With that thought, an unusual hope ignited within me. If the Relic could indeed revive Ke'er, then... I felt inexplicably excited. 0

I suddenly urged Wang Wei to move faster. He looked at me in surprise and said, "Saning, don’t rush. It’s dangerous; let Zhang Dexin's people test the waters first. We should wait a bit." 0

The golden light inside radiated outward, and I couldn't help but exclaim, "Wang Wei, can't you see the brilliant golden light inside? The Relic is about to come out." 0

After I spoke, Wang Wei asked me, "Did you see it?" 0

I nodded, and Wang Wei suddenly quickened his pace to catch up with me. He lowered his voice and said, "Saning, Zhang Dexin is not a good person. If we get the Sarira, let's not give it to him if we can help it." 0

I thought to myself, how deep is Wang Wei's grudge against Zhang Dexin! However, he wasn't wrong; if the Sarira could really extend life or even bring the dead back to life, it could certainly be exploited for other purposes. 0

Once we entered, the interior was a relatively large space, about the size of three basketball courts. It was clear that this area had once been exquisitely decorated. 0

Now, after some years had passed, it appeared somewhat worn and showed signs of damage. 0

After I stepped in, Wang Wei asked me, "Saning, do you see where the golden light is coming from?" I retorted, "Can't you see it?" Wang Wei replied, "If I could see it, why would I ask you?" 0

I didn't answer Wang Wei immediately but glanced at Chen San. Chen San was scanning the space with his eyes. 0

In this area, there were golden Buddha statues placed on both sides; however, they had already faded in color. The golden light was not emanating from the statues. 0

A bizarre scene unfolded: amidst so many Buddha statues stood a coffin. In such a setting, that coffin appeared exceptionally eerie. 0

Even more astonishing was that the golden light seemed to be emanating from within the coffin itself. 0

Suddenly, Wang Wei whispered in my ear, "Saning, it's changed." 0

My breathing quickened as I asked, "What has changed?" Wang Wei said that the layout here had changed; when he came here twenty years ago, it hadn't looked like this. 0

I asked, "What is it like?" 0

Wang Wei replied, "That coffin doesn't exist at all, and the atmosphere here feels exceptionally terrifying." 0

I could tell that Wang Wei seemed to be in a state of incomplete spirit, so I asked if he was afraid of the Golden Light. Wang Wei said he hadn't even seen the light; he wasn't afraid of it. 0

Wang Wei's complexion turned somewhat pale. 0

Since Wang Wei wasn't afraid of the golden light, what exactly was he afraid of? I scanned the area again; it seemed that besides the Buddha statues, there was only the coffin. 0

Moreover, I suspected that the Sarira was hidden inside the coffin. However, that thought was quite normal because coffins are meant for burying the dead. 0

Since the monk had attained enlightenment and left behind nine Sarira, it would make sense for them to be buried in the coffin. 0

Wang Wei mentioned that it was an Evil Monk. If it was indeed an Evil Monk, then burying the coffin here, under so many Buddha statues, would surely prevent it from rising again. 0

Everything here felt truly bizarre. 0

While I was lost in thought, Chen San suddenly called out to me. I responded, asking what was wrong. 0

Chen San got straight to the point and said, "Zhang Dexin said you are the destined person for this trip?" 0

I acknowledged with a sound but noted that it was just what Zhang Dexin had said; who knew if it was true or not. Chen San then added that he believed I really was the destined person this time. 0

I thought to myself, so you all say I'm the destined person just because someone else said so! 0

The atmosphere here was strange, filled with an eerie tension. I asked, "What do you mean?" 0

Chen San replied bluntly, "Do you want the Relic?" 0

If this question had been posed to me a day ago, I would have certainly refused. But now, hearing it from him stirred something within me. I truly wanted the Relic; I wanted to know if the Sarira could bring my wife Ke'er back to life. 0

This might seem like a thought only a living person would have. We don't want anyone close to us to die, so if there's a way, we naturally wish for our loved ones and friends to live forever, so they can be with us eternally. 0

I nodded slightly. 0

We fell into silence for a moment. However, having reached this point in our conversation felt like we had opened up. I asked Chen San, "What do I need to do?" 0

Wang Wei chimed in, reminding me to be careful not to fall into a trap. 0

I turned to Wang Wei and asked, "Do you want to live?" This question was an irresistible temptation for him. After being trapped for twenty years and now finally out, only to have his body taken away again—of course he wanted to live. Who would want to wander around in a damned body? 0

Wang Wei didn't respond verbally but gave a slight grunt, indicating his stance. 0

Chen San stepped closer to me, his gaze fixed on the coffin. He said pointedly, "Open that coffin." I looked at Chen San in confusion, wondering if he had also seen that flash of golden light. 0

But I quickly dismissed that thought because as I mentioned earlier, coffins are meant for the dead. 0

I believed that the Relic was hidden inside the coffin. Just as I was about to approach it, suddenly... 0
