"Jianjian" spoke very softly, almost only I could hear her. One of her hands clutched my sleeve, while the gaze of "Zhang" and the others was completely drawn to the figure of the "Blood Man" emerging from the dilapidated temple. 0

After "Jianjian" finished speaking, I turned my attention to "Chen San," who had just come out of the temple, his body covered in blood. The light from the car headlights illuminated the area in front of the temple brightly. 0

Thus, we could see quite clearly. 0

After glancing a few times, I did not sense any aura of death from "Chen San." 0

At this moment, everyone seemed a bit frightened by "Chen San's" appearance as the "Blood Man," and I guessed that "Jianjian" felt the same way. 0

I couldn't tell what was different between my eyes and "Jianjian's," but I knew that there was nothing wrong with "Chen San" at this moment. 0

I took a step toward "Chen San" because he had saved my life. 0

"Wang Wei" probably didn't notice anything either. As I took a step forward, "Wang Wei" called out to me, saying, "Saning, do you think there's something wrong with him?" 0

I glanced at "Wang Wei," remained silent, and shook my head. 0

"Wang Wei" asked with a hint of doubt, "Nothing's wrong?" 0

I nodded and then quickened my pace toward "Chen San." My nephew called out to me and followed along. "Zhang Dexin" also called out to me but stayed where he was. 0

"Zhang" and "Jianjian" remained behind. 0

As I approached Chen San, I couldn't help but gasp in shock. At that moment, every inch of his skin was covered in blood, the red liquid seeming to seep not from wounds, but directly from his skin. 0

It was terrifying; a once fair and handsome face now marred by countless beads of blood, resembling sweat droplets. 0

What struck me even more was his hair, which had lost all its original blackness and turned completely white, yet it was still stained with murky red blood. 0

Chen San hunched over, trembling slightly. His lips moved as if he were trying to speak, and both Wang Wei and I were stunned. It took me a few seconds to process the scene before me. 0

Chen San looked utterly pitiful. 0

I hurried to support him and asked, "How do you feel? Are you okay?" 0

The smell of fresh blood filled my nostrils. Chen San glanced at me, his hair seemingly dripping with blood. After a moment, he said, "I won't die. Don't worry." 0

Wang Wei quickly suggested, "Let's use a Relic; it might help you recover faster." As he spoke, he was already preparing to take out a Relic for Chen San. 0

Chen San simply replied, "The Relic won't work for me. Give it to Zhang Dexin." After saying this, he fainted. I immediately checked for his breath and pulse and found that both were still there. 0

I urgently asked Wang Wei for help and then carried Chen San to Zhang Pangzi's car. I told him to hurry up and drive us to the hospital. 0

Zhang Pangzi moved quickly, opening the car door in no time. I carefully placed Chen San in the back seat and took my place in the front. Just as we were about to leave, Wang Wei suddenly threw a package at me. I caught it; it was a Relic. 0

I understood Wang Wei's intention—he clearly didn't trust Zhang Dexin. 0

Jianjian and Wang Wei were in Zhang Dexin's car. 0

Ke'er should be fine; I just don't know where she is now, and then there's that Wandering Soul. But I can't worry about that right now. 0

About half an hour later, Chen San was taken to the hospital and rushed into surgery. After about an hour, the doctor came out, and I hurried over to ask about his condition. 0

The doctor had a strange expression on his face. When Chen San was brought in, he looked absolutely terrible; anyone who saw him would think he was beyond saving. 0

The doctor said, "He's fine. We gave him some blood. It's strange, though; there are no wounds." With that, the doctor left. 0

Chen San was pushed into a private room, and thankfully this hospital was not the same one we had been to last time. 0

We were still a bit apprehensive about that hospital. 0

We gathered outside the private room, and by now, the sky had started to brighten. 0

Since I was still holding the Relic, Zhang Dexin called me over, and I understood what he meant. 0

Wang Wei watched Zhang Dexin warily. 0

I let Zhang Dexin step outside, and Wang Wei followed. 0

"Uncle Zhang," I called out. 0

I sighed in response and then reached into the yellow cloth bag, pulling out a Relic. I held it tightly, as it struggled in my grasp. 0

"This Relic was given to you by Chen San." 0

Zhang Dexin's eyes lit up at my words, and he hurriedly replied, "I promised Chen San that I would give him his reward." 0

I hadn't expected Zhang Dexin to say such a thing, so I quickly asked, "What reward?" 0

Zhang Dexin seemed to realize he had let something slip. His expression suddenly darkened as he said, "Saning, it's not that I don't want to tell you, but I made a promise to Chen San." 0

I glanced at Zhang Dexin but didn't press further. Since Chen San had gone to such lengths to obtain this Relic, it was clear that whatever agreement or reward they had reached was significant. 0

I handed the Relic I was holding over to Zhang Dexin. He took it firmly, his face tense, and then suddenly burst into laughter. 0

His gaze finally settled on the bag I was holding. Wang Wei immediately stepped in front of me, blocking Zhang Dexin's line of sight. Zhang Dexin likely understood that we wouldn't be giving him anything else. 0

With the Relic in hand, he left. 0

Yet, I couldn't shake my confusion about what kind of reward Zhang Dexin could offer Chen San—what kind of reward would be worth the risk Chen San had taken? 0

Zhang Dexin walked away, seemingly indifferent to Chen San's fate. 0

I returned to the hospital room, where Fatty and Jianjian were still present. My body was covered in fresh red blood, and I greeted Fatty. 0

I then suggested that Fatty take Jianjian back to rest. 0

At this point, it was already a little past five in the early morning. 0

Fatty intended to take Jianjian back to rest, but Jianjian refused. She insisted on staying by my side, claiming that only by being with me would her mother not dare to come. 0

Whenever Jianjian mentioned her mother, her expression would turn tense. 0

I was also curious about Jianjian's mother; what kind of person could be so ruthless as to harm her own daughter? 0

I glanced at Jianjian and asked, "Did your mother come tonight?" 0

Jianjian replied that she hadn't. 0

To be honest, with Jianjian clinging to me like this, I was worried about Fatty misunderstanding and even more concerned about Ke'er misinterpreting the situation. But who could blame Fatty? He had initially claimed I could see ghosts just to impress girls! Little did he know that his words would turn out to be true. 0

In the end, I had no choice but to let Jianjian call me Saning Brother since I was just a bit older than her. Although I knew Jianjian might not mean it that way, I thought it would help us all get along better in the future. 0

Jianjian complied and called me Saning Brother. I responded and urged her to go back with Fatty to rest because it was already daylight. Even if her mother were an evil spirit, she wouldn't appear during the day. 0

Being able to see ghosts by nature, Jianjian understood the implication behind my words. 0

As she was about to leave, she said to me, "Saning Brother, I'll come find you tonight." 0

Zhang Fatty chimed in, "I'll come over tonight too." 0

Just as they were about to run out, Jianjian suddenly dashed back, leaned close to my ear, whispered something, and then ran off. After she spoke, my expression changed slightly, and my gaze settled on Chen San. 0

At that moment, Chen San was wrapped up like a mummy. I glanced at him a few times before looking away. 0

Then, I seemed to catch a whiff of something foul. 0

It turned out Wang Wei was staring at me. I held two Relics in my hands—one was mine and the other belonged to Wang Wei. Without any hesitation, I intended to hand the Relic over to Wang Wei. 0

However, Wang Wei said, "Saning, keep the Relic until I find my body." 0

"Do you trust me?" I asked. 0

Wang Wei fell silent for a moment before replying, "You're practically my nephew now; if I can't trust you, who can I trust?" 0

At that point, there was no one else around. I found Wang Wei's behavior of taking advantage of me quite shameful, so I cursed at him, "Get lost! Your body is starting to stink; be careful not to get discovered." 0

Wang Wei sniffed himself and remarked that indeed there was a smell. He had thought it would last two days but didn't expect it to spoil so quickly—perhaps he had pushed it too far. Then he said to me, "Wait for me a moment." 0
