Jono was forcibly required to take Jin Chengyan on a tour of the Jin Family! She also had to endure Wang Jue's disdainful glances, even though she repeatedly emphasized that she really needed to deliver documents for her boss's signature.
However, Jin Chengyan said there was no one in the company with a higher position than his.
So, Jono secretly rolled her eyes at Jin Chengyan and followed them, with Wang Jue introducing him throughout the tour.
This naturally attracted the attention of many colleagues in the company. The big boss was visiting the subsidiary, and everyone wanted to catch a glimpse of this legendary figure who could turn the tides with a mere gesture!
But the president's subordinates were not to be underestimated. A simple gesture from A-Shan made those restless employees obediently sit at their desks, only able to watch Jin Chengyan with admiration.
After touring an entire floor of the sales department, Wang Jue finally brought Jin Chengyan into the conference room.
“Mr. Jin, this is our conference room, where we hold our morning meetings and regular discussions,” Wang Jue desperately signaled to Jono to leave. A place like this was most suitable for some private conversation with the boss. A-Shan was sensible enough to stand outside, yet here was Jono, who didn’t seem to understand social cues at all!
But Jono truly didn’t grasp the implication in Wang Jue’s gaze. She cluelessly asked, “Wang Jue, are your eyes bothering you? You should put in some eye drops!”
Wang Jue: “…”
Jin Chengyan: “…”
Wang Jue was genuinely exasperated with Jono. “Jono, Mr. Jin has been out for quite a while and must be thirsty. Go get him a cup of coffee—make sure it’s freshly brewed!”
“Mr. Jin doesn’t drink coffee,” Jono instinctively replied. It was true; Jin Chengyan didn’t drink coffee but had a strong preference for tea.
Wang Jue was taken aback, looking at Jono in surprise.
Jono also felt that she might have said something inappropriate, so she quickly ran out to make tea for Jin Chengyan!
As she came out, she saw A-Shan and smiled at her. A-Shan was a hundred times cuter than Jin Chengyan!
A-Shan watched Jono's retreating figure as she hurried away, then glanced back at the conference room door and shook her head.
Inside the conference room, with Jono gone, Wang Jue was practically using all her charm!
"Mr. Jin, it seems like the air conditioning in the conference room is set too high..." As she spoke, Wang Jue unbuttoned two buttons on her blouse, revealing two tempting curves.
Jin Chengyan's gaze darkened.
He had seen many beautiful women, but he had rarely encountered one so eager.
Just moments ago, this woman had been domineering towards Jono, even speaking harshly. Although he stood at the top of the corporate ladder, he had heard of office politics; it turned out that Jono was in such an environment.
Leaning against the conference table, Jin Chengyan beckoned Wang Jue with a finger.
Some women would rush to him with just a glance or a gesture.
But people often desire what they cannot have; those who come running are never valued as much as what is out of reach.
Wang Jue's face lit up with joy; even if Jin Chengyan was merely playing around with her, his striking looks were enough to make her giddy. Of course, if she could rise through the ranks because of it, that would be even better.
However, just as Wang Jue was about to approach Jin Chengyan, he placed his hand on her shoulder. The smile that had just graced Jin Chengyan's face vanished in an instant, replaced by an icy indifference that carried a hint of menace, causing Wang Jue to shiver involuntarily.
"Gather your personal belongings and get out of the Jin Family," Jin Chengyan said, his tone surprisingly gentle, not at all what one would expect from someone with such a handsome face.
When Jono came over with the brewed tea, he found only Jin Chengyan there.
