Jono felt utterly speechless.
Jin Zhongshu seemed equally perplexed by the situation. He turned to look at Jin Chengyan; after all, this was all caused by him!
"What do you think about this?" His daughter-in-law was in trouble, so naturally, it fell upon him to explain.
Jin Chengyan paused for a moment before speaking in his characteristic deep voice. "It is true; I did send A-Shan to the police station to withdraw the case. I didn't expect Jono to act this way. But she is my wife, and I won't let her stay in that kind of place for even a minute longer. Marriage is my choice; she is my choice. Whatever consequences arise, I will bear them."
Jin Zhongshu was furious. He never expected that after all his deliberation, the daughter-in-law he ended up with would be of such character. It was one thing for her background to be lacking; why did her character have to be so poor?

In that moment, Jono felt as if she were trapped in an ice cellar. Jin Chengyan appeared to be protecting her, treating her as his wife, but in reality, he was turning her into a true villain, scheming against innocent women to win his love.

Jin Chengyan looked up, unable to believe these words were coming from his father's mouth. Knowing Jono's poor character, how could he still want her to stay in their home?
"Ayan, don't look at me like that. What are you scheming? Do you think I don't know?" Jin Zhongshu was an old hand at this; it seemed he saw through Jin Chengyan's tactics with just a glance.
While everyone else remained confused, Jin Zhongshu announced, "The Qiao Family has just held a funeral; it is not appropriate to hold a wedding now. The wedding will be postponed for two years. However, our Jin Family's daughter-in-law must not be wronged. From now on, Jono is one of us in the Jin Family. Whatever good or bad she does will represent our family."
Jono looked at Jin Zhongshu in surprise; this plot did not seem to be unfolding as expected!
She saw Jin Chengyan turn around, but he was not looking at her.
