Jasper saw Jono and Jin Chengyan approaching, so he put down his glass and exchanged a few words with the person beside him before walking over to them.
Jin Chengyan's gaze shifted back, glancing at Xining. The look he gave made Xining feel uneasy. Just as she was about to say something, Jin Chengyan spoke up.
"You stay here; I'll come find you later." He whispered this in Jono's ear, and Xining didn't catch it.
Anyway, Xining didn't particularly like Jin Chengyan; she always felt that he had more schemes than her brother!
After saying that, he didn’t wait for Jono to respond and headed towards Jasper.
Once Jin Chengyan left, Xining grabbed Jono's hand and asked worriedly, "Jono, he didn’t do anything to you, did he?"
Jono smiled lightly, though there was a hint of helplessness in her expression. "What could he do to me?" Well, nothing really—except for making her quite exhausted in bed!
"That's good. I was worried about you and wanted Jasper to check on you, but he said this is something between you two." Xining mumbled, feeling puzzled by Jasper. Since he had helped before, why not continue to help?
At that moment, Xining had no idea about Jasper's true intentions. Everything he did was merely to make Ruan Shengyu pay the price, along with teaching Jin Chengyan a lesson for having previously protected Ruan Shengyu.
Jin Chengyan stepped in front of Jasper deliberately blocking his path.

Jin Chengyan tucked the phone away and leaned casually against the railing. He thought Jasper was someone who exploited others' weaknesses, but wasn’t he doing the same?
It was merely a matter of who had the upper hand.
"We’ve always kept our distance. If you act unjustly, don’t blame me for being ruthless," Jin Chengyan said. He believed in a principle: if someone wronged him, he would return the favor double.
"I didn’t realize Ruan Shengyu became your pawn. How does dealing with a minor celebrity concern you? Perhaps I should discuss this with Jono?" Jasper hated it when anyone used Xining to threaten him.
She was his Achilles' heel, untouchable; otherwise, he would unleash hell! Even if it came from the depths of hell, Jasper wouldn’t be afraid!
"If you do that, then the information you just looked at will appear on the front pages of major newspapers and magazines tomorrow. Just imagine how your Ji Family raised such a good girl—eighteen and already had an abortion. Everyone will want to know who the father is."
This infuriated Jasper, and he grabbed Jin Chengyan by the collar.
"Try it!" Jasper gritted his teeth. If he had a gun at that moment, he would have shot Jin Chengyan without hesitation!
Jin Chengyan showed no sign of worry; he patted Jasper's hand gripping his collar. "You must be feeling my anger now! I don’t want to make enemies. Jasper shoved Jin Chengyan's collar away; Jin Chengyan was nothing but a hypocritical scoundrel, playing both sides!
Claiming he wouldn’t hurt Xining to spare Jono’s feelings! He thought having a significant hold over someone gave him free rein!
"Remember what you said. If any of this gets exposed, we’ll both suffer!" If the Ji Family truly wanted to fight the Jin Family to the bitter end, it would surely lead to mutual destruction.

Jin Chengyan extended his hand, offering a friendly handshake.

"What were you two just talking about? I thought you didn't like him?" Jono asked, genuinely curious, completely unaware of the jealousy slowly rising within Jin Chengyan.
Jin Chengyan snorted coldly. "Discussing life."
"Ah?" Jin Chengyan was serious about discussing life with Jasper. "But why did he treat Xining like that when he came back? Did you say something?"
Jono turned around, looking at Jin Chengyan with a scrutinizing gaze.
Jin Chengyan noticed that look; it was clearly a protective gaze for Jasper.
The primal power within him had already reached its peak!
"Jono, your husband is standing right in front of you. Can you stop talking about other men?" Although it was phrased as a question, there was no hint of doubt in Jin Chengyan's tone. He wanted Jono to only mention his name from now on.
"But Xining was taken away; it really won't..."
"This is between them. Why do you care so much? Our issues seem to remain unresolved!"
Jono nodded, looking thoughtful, then said to Jin Chengyan, "Yes, our issues are still unresolved!"

Both Jono and Jin Chengyan turned around simultaneously, realizing the voice didn't belong to Jono. However, since Jono was new to C City, could she possibly know someone?
When they turned back, they saw a woman in a striking red mermaid dress, stunningly beautiful. She instantly became the center of attention in the banquet hall. Upon seeing Jono, her face lit up with surprise!
However, Jono looked somewhat confused upon seeing her. After all, due to her amnesia, she could only look to Jin Chengyan for guidance about this world; he should know what was going on.
Jin Chengyan was equally surprised that the Young Mistress of the Nan Family in C City knew Jono.
"Jono! It's really you! I thought I had mistaken you for someone else! We haven't seen each other in years! I've always wanted to get in touch with you but have been tied up with things. I'm so glad to see you!" Shu Yi exclaimed as she recognized Jono and stepped forward to embrace her.

Upon hearing Jin Chengyan's voice, Shu Yi finally released Jono, though she was surprised that Jono did not seem as enthusiastic as she was.

Speaking of which, Shu Yi recalled their past. "I met Jono while studying in Milan. I was studying Fashion Design while she was in Architecture. Since we were both exchange students, we became quite familiar with each other. After returning home, we lost touch, so I never expected to run into her here."
As Jono listened to Shu Yi recount their past, a flicker of recognition sparked within her. She had indeed loved architecture; judging by the items displayed in Jin Mansion, they all carried a certain charm. Even when bored, she would sometimes sketch things out of sheer interest.
It turned out it was because she had studied architecture before!

Jono didn't respond verbally, but her expression betrayed her; she did want to know about the past, even though Shu Yi had said that the present was what mattered most.

Before Jono could finish her thought, Jin Chengyan's phone rang. He wanted to ignore it and continue talking to Jono, but it was A-Shan calling, likely with something important.
Reluctantly, he released Jono. "I need to take this call."
"Is there something you need to discuss away from me? Are you talking to Ruan Shengyu? Fine, go ahead!" Jono didn't even know why she was being so stubborn.
Jin Chengyan was taken aback at first; Jono's reaction seemed overly intense!
But soon enough, a smile crept onto his face. Jono was jealous!
Alright, let her eat a bit more!
"It's not her; I haven't been in touch with her for a long time. It was A-Shan who called, you can check if you don't believe me."
"I won't look! Who knows how many calls you've secretly made to Ruan Shengyu? Anyone can play both sides." Angry and frustrated, Jono seemed intent on provoking Jin Chengyan.
But Jin Chengyan was in a good mood right now; how could he be easily angered?
"Fine, I'll call right in front of you. Is that okay?"
"Who wants to listen to your phone call!"

He thought that if he had Qiao Chen, then Jono would definitely come back, but who knew that Qiao Chen would cause such trouble?
What are you doing climbing over the wall? The wall of Jin Mansion is quite high. Although there’s a lawn outside, falling from such a height would surely hurt!

People in the hotel lobby saw the woman in a gown faint and immediately called for an ambulance. But Jin Chengyan couldn't wait for that; his car had already arrived. He quickly placed Jono in the backseat, ran to the driver's seat, and started the engine.

He placed his phone on the dashboard and dialed Jasper's number.
Jasper was busy scolding Xining when he received Jin Chengyan's call, and he felt an urge to vent his frustration on him.
But before he could say anything, Jin Chengyan shouted, “Tell me where the best hospital in C City is!”
“Why should I tell you? Are we that close?” Jasper shot back.
“I don’t have time for your nonsense. Jono has fainted, and I don’t know where the hospital is. If you don’t tell me…”
“Tell me where you are right now!” Jasper wasn’t one to get involved in their personal matters; his relationship with Jin Chengyan was theirs alone, but Jono was their mutual friend.
Jin Chengyan relayed his location to Jasper, who then sternly instructed Xining on the other end of the line to call the hospital.
At that moment, Jin Chengyan didn’t have time to worry about what kind of relationship Jasper and Xining were in. He glanced at Jono through the rearview mirror.
Did A-Shan’s call upset Jono? Was she worried about Qiao Chen, causing her distress?
Jono let out a soft sigh.
Jin Chengyan's heart was racing, filled with anxiety at the thought of anything happening to Jono.
Once Jasper learned Jin Chengyan's exact location, he immediately pulled up a map of C City in his mind. With his remarkable memory and excellent sense of direction, he became a human GPS for Jin Chengyan.
This GPS was incredibly effective, guiding Jin Chengyan to the best hospital in C City! Thanks to Xining's earlier phone call, the hospital was already prepared and waiting for Jin Chengyan and Jono's arrival.
The doctor quickly helped Jono out of the car and wheeled her toward the operating room.
Jin Chengyan followed closely, running alongside the stretcher as he explained, "She has a blood clot in her head from the injuries sustained during her kidnapping. The clot is pressing on her nerves, causing her memory loss. Just now, when she realized her brother was hurt, she got overwhelmed and fainted!"
He focused on the key points.
The doctor hurriedly took notes. The Ji family was involved, and with the patient having been kidnapped and suffering from amnesia, it sounded quite serious.
Meanwhile, Jono lay on the hospital bed being pushed along, her mind hazy. She opened her eyes slightly, staring at the bright lights flashing overhead, which were somewhat blinding.
She heard Jin Chengyan say that her injuries were caused by the kidnapping, not a car accident.
