Jono felt as if her mind had exploded in a deafening roar. Anger surged to her face!
Everything was premeditated by Jin Chengyan; it was all part of his design! He had made her agree to let Ruan Shengyu go when she was in a state of confusion, allowing him to play the role of a good man in front of his lover!

The crowd automatically parted for Jono as she lifted her skirt and walked towards the exit without a hint of hesitation.
If Jin Chengyan’s main purpose in bringing her to this banquet was to make her realize how insignificant she was and how unappreciated she was in this relationship, then she understood!
There would be no more hope, no more love.
She kept her gaze straight ahead, focused on the entrance.
In fact, Ruan Shengyu stood right at the door. Dressed in a bold black evening gown that showcased her stunning figure perfectly, her exquisite makeup mirrored every role she had played in the past!
Even after leaving the police station, she could still shine brightly!
Well, she would rely on Jin Chengyan's love for her!
In this love triangle, Jono realized that she couldn't afford to provoke Ruan Shengyu any longer; it was time to step back.

Jono stared coldly at Ruan Shengyu, feeling that if she just walked away now, it would be as if she were afraid of her. It would truly make others think that Mrs. Jin was still someone easy to bully! Even if the mistress came knocking, she would just swallow her anger!

Jono wouldn't do that!
Even if it was her last day as Mrs. Jin, she would stand her ground!
"Yes, nice to see you again!" Jono replied with a slight smile, hiding all her emotions behind a mask.
"But are you planning to leave? If you walk out of this banquet, there will be no hostess! You wouldn't want to give up your position as the hostess, would you?"
Those nearby heard Ruan Shengyu's words and were utterly shocked; it completely overturned their previous perception of the goddess Ruan Shengyu!
At the same time, they felt sympathy for the legitimate wife. Was she really going to endure being ridden by the mistress?

At that moment, Jin Chengyan handed the microphone to the host and stepped down from the stage.
The host continued talking on stage, drawing everyone's attention forward.
After all, it was a personal matter concerning the Jin Family Young Master. Even if they were curious, no one dared to pry too much; they could only listen casually while keeping a careful eye on the movements at the entrance.
Jin Chengyan's expression was somber as he approached Jono, worry evident on his face.
This was why he hadn't let Jono go out for so many days.
Soon, he would be able to resolve matters with Liu Mingzhang and the Ye Family. Just a little more time, and Jono would see everything he had done for her.
If only Ruan Shengyu hadn't shown up at that moment!
"Ayan, I haven't had the chance to thank you in person for getting me out of the police station. Although I'm innocent, some people just have to make a big deal out of things. This was certainly not a place for calm discussions!
Jin Chengyan grasped Jono's hand tightly, fearing she might suddenly run away due to this incident.
"We need to talk outside." With nearly a thousand people watching them from behind, he didn't want his affairs to be the subject of gossip.
Although they had already been the topic of discussion.
But in this situation, was there any point in saying anything?
Jin Chengyan, however, ignored Jono and directly took her hand, leading her away.
At the entrance stood bodyguards from the Jin Family. He gave a signal, and one of them understood immediately, entering to roughly drag Ruan Shengyu, who thought she had successfully disrupted a peaceful situation, away.
Inside the lounge, Jono shook off Jin Chengyan's hand.
Now that it was just the two of them, she no longer had to suppress her voice. She could confront Jin Chengyan: "Jin Chengyan, can you be any more shameless? Using such tactics to trick me into agreeing to let Ruan Shengyu go! Am I so easy to deceive for you? So inconsequential that it doesn't matter what happens to me? Is Ruan Shengyu the only one you truly care about? Fine! I'm not going to hold her responsible anymore! I don't want anything! I want a divorce! I can't continue living with someone like you!"
"Jono! Calm down! It's not as you think! I let Ruan Shengyu go because she has Liu Mingzhang backing her. I don't know how much power Liu Mingzhang has; I'm afraid he might pose a threat to you!"
"Oh, so you're saying letting Ruan Shengyu go is to protect me? Don't try to dress up your disgusting actions as noble and selfless! Four distinct finger marks appeared on Jin Chengyan's face as he stood frozen in place. It turned out Jono had always thought this way about him!
The door to the lounge swung open with a loud bang; it was the careless bodyguard who mistakenly brought someone into this room.
Seeing this scene, Ruan Shengyu couldn't help but laugh.
It seemed too late for the bodyguard to pull Ruan Shengyu away; she slowly walked further inside while neither Jin Chengyan nor Jono spoke. All he could do was close the door and wait quietly outside.
"Well, are you bringing her here to show off now? No need for that, Jin Chengyan! We were never a couple; your marriage to me was just to provoke Ruan Shengyu! Now you've achieved your goal! Look how much she cares about you—she's willing to kill for you!" Jono stepped closer to Ruan Shengyu, placing a hand on her shoulder.
Jono was slightly taller than Ruan Shengyu and used her strength assertively; thus, Ruan Shengyu found herself unable to move.
"A femme fatale like her is your lover! But I, Jono, have always believed in settling scores and repaying grievances! If I can't send her to the police station, then now, I can only use her own methods against her!"
Jin Chengyan looked at Jono in surprise, his gaze quickly sweeping to a gift-opening knife on the table beside her. It was the knife used by the public relations department during today's lottery event!
He understood her message; she was about to do something foolish!
But it was too late!
Jono pushed Ruan Shengyu onto the table, her waist colliding with the edge, causing her to double over in pain! With one hand pressing down on her, Jono grabbed the knife from the table with the other!
"Don't!" Jin Chengyan was only a few steps away; he had to get there!
However, Jono's knife had already descended!
It plunged into Ruan Shengyu's abdomen!
"Ah—" Ruan Shengyu screamed, disbelief etched on her face as she looked at the twisted expression of Jono. The pain radiating from her stomach spread throughout her body!
Jono's gaze did not linger on Ruan Shengyu; she was oblivious to the despair in her eyes!
She watched Jin Chengyan rush over so quickly, so worried about Ruan Shengyu!
Without hesitation, Jono pulled out the knife!
Blood splattered everywhere!
Jin Chengyan seized Jono's hand, preventing the knife from descending upon Ruan Shengyu again!
"Jono, are you crazy? This is illegal!" He restrained Jono's wrist, trying to pry the knife from her grip!
Blood smeared across Jono's face, yet she smiled—a smile filled with helplessness!
"You still care about her!" Jono gripped the knife tightly, ready to strike again.
One blow was enough for Ruan Shengyu to frame Jono, ruining her innocence and forcing her into a relationship with Jin Chengyan. If it weren't for that incident, Jono and Jin Chengyan would only have the simplest contractual relationship.
The second blow was what Ruan Shengyu had inflicted on her in that factory.
No one was there to help her, so she had to fight for herself and seek justice.
"Let go!" Jin Chengyan struggled to pry Jono's hand away, but she wouldn't relent.
Meanwhile, Ruan Shengyu, clutching her wound, didn't want to become a victim. With the last bit of strength she had, she slid under the table, trying to distance herself from the battlefield.
This clash seemed to have turned into a war between Jono and Jin Chengyan.

"If I commit a crime, would you still save me? Even if you know I've killed someone, would you ensure I come out unscathed?" Jono asked Jin Chengyan, despair evident in her eyes.
But in Jin Chengyan's heart, Jono wasn't that kind of person!
The moment Jin Chengyan saw Jono take action, she realized she had made a mistake.
Before Jin Chengyan could respond, Jono's thoughts became chaotic!
She struggled as she watched Ruan Shengyu trying to crawl away; her will to live was strong! But Jono couldn't let her escape! She needed to return that blow!
"Jin Chengyan, let go!" She lunged for the knife! The blade pointed uncertainly at either Jono or Jin Chengyan.
What a dangerous move!
Yet neither was willing to release their grip—one filled with determination and aggression, the other tense and worried!
Who made the first move? Who was the first to show a look of shock?
Jono didn’t know!
All she felt was a drop, then two, then three drops of blood dripping from her chest, following the blade and falling onto the pristine carpet, blooming into beautiful crimson flowers!
“Jono!” Jin Chengyan immediately released the knife and reached out to support Jono, who was about to collapse!
Jono opened her mouth, but not a single word came out!
It hurt so much, on the left side where her heart was. It felt as if with one more movement, the sharp blade would cleave her heart in two!
She clutched Jin Chengyan’s suit collar tightly, unable to utter a word, her gaze fixed on him, filled with so much grievance and hatred!
For Ruan Shengyu, you stabbed your own wife’s heart! How cruel could you be?
“Someone! Call an ambulance! Jono! Wake up…” Jin Chengyan didn’t dare to move; he helplessly held Jono, watching as large patches of blood soaked through her dress, turning the light gold fabric dark.
Jono's breathing was becoming shallow; she felt as light as a piece of paper!
He hadn’t meant to do this; he never intended to kill Jono. He just wanted to take the knife away so she wouldn’t do something foolish!
If Ruan Shengyu died, Jono would bear the guilt of murder!
He had the ability to help Jono clear her name; it was just that a girl as innocent as her would never find peace if she carried the burden of killing for the rest of her life!
The ensuing chaos was filled with panic and unease!
A large number of doctors and nurses were on high alert at the hospital, with blood banks stocked with sufficient blood bags! Jin Chengyan even considered the worst-case scenario—heart transplant!
Why did that knife strike so precisely at her heart?

Jin Chengyan's people began to feel uneasy. Had Liu Mingzhang planted a bomb in the hospital?
What about Jono's surgery?
“A-Shan, stop the surgery on Ruan Shengyu. If Liu Mingzhang wants him, then give him to him!” Jin Chengyan's move was indeed ruthless.
Liu Mingzhang's gaze sharpened. “Jin Chengyan, you really are something! Do you believe I won’t blow this hospital up right now?”
“You came here so brazenly; you must know your whereabouts have been exposed. You’re just here in Qin Cheng to escape, and I truly don’t know which fugitive would dare to act so boldly! You might as well tuck your tail between your legs!” If Liu Mingzhang hadn’t known that the evidence of his crimes had already been submitted, he probably wouldn’t have rushed over with such urgency, ready to fight to the death.
But Jono was still in surgery!

“Boom—bang—explosion—” Before Jin Chengyan could finish his sentence, the surgical room on the sixth floor suddenly exploded! A flash of red light erupted, glass shattered! Flames burst through the windows!
“Master!” A-Shan quickly pulled Jin Chengyan aside to prevent debris from the explosion above from hitting him!
It was because of this explosion that someone from both sides decided to shoot first!
Instantly, chaos erupted at the entrance of the hospital!
Police, Flying Tigers, and fire trucks rushed into the fierce battle!
Explosions continued from above! Jin Chengyan disregarded the gunfire around him and forcefully broke free from A-Shan’s grip, trying to rush upstairs!
“Master, it’s dangerous up there!”
“Jono is up there!” The explosions were happening above!
“I’m going up; you stay here! It’s too dangerous!” A-Shan firmly held onto Jin Chengyan! There was no telling how many bombs were up there; if Jin Chengyan went up now, it would undoubtedly be perilous! A-Shan couldn’t let his young master take such risks!
“Be careful!” With that, A-Shan pushed Jin Chengyan behind a rockery as Liu Mingzhang’s men opened fire on them. In his effort to protect Jin Chengyan, A-Shan felt a bullet graze his arm, and blood immediately flowed out!
Jin Chengyan saw the gun at A-Shan's waist, pulled it out, and was about to pull the trigger to shoot at the people outside!
"Don't! Your hands can't be stained with blood!" A-Shan grabbed Jin Chengyan's hand firmly, refusing to let him shoot!
Jin Chengyan was already red-eyed; it had come to this point! Jono's life was uncertain upstairs, and A-Shan had been injured while trying to protect him, yet he couldn't even fire a gun!
Ignoring the injury on her arm, A-Shan snatched the gun from Jin Chengyan's hand. She had always let him have his way before; otherwise, with her training intensity, how could she possibly not be a match for Jin Chengyan?
The police were outside, the Flying Tigers had arrived, and Liu Mingzhang's men couldn't escape. If someone saw Jin Chengyan holding a gun at this moment, his identity as the heir of the Jin Family would be in jeopardy!
But seeing his brother caught in a hail of bullets, Jin Chengyan felt powerless! He couldn't even find a way to rush upstairs through the bullets to look for Jono!
"Bang—" Another explosion echoed from upstairs! Shattered glass fell from the sixth floor, accompanied by flames, crashing down onto the people below, causing immediate screams of agony!
