"Oh my, it's just a signing ceremony, right? Why has Mr. Jin decorated the venue like a wedding?" A senior executive whispered to the person next to him as he entered the hall.
The person beside him clicked his tongue. "You don't know? I just heard from the president's office that the behind-the-scenes boss of that company is the ex-wife's brother-in-law!"
"How is she his ex-wife? Mr. Jin never admitted to his divorce, did he?"
"Do you know what 'widowed' means?"
"Oh..." The executive suddenly remembered that the president's wife had perished in that shocking explosion and shooting incident four years ago, leaving no ashes behind!

"Mr. Jin, did we arrive too early?" With a minute left until the official signing time, and knowing Jin Chengyan's habit of being punctual, it was unusual for him to arrive so early today.
Of course, Alice knew why he was so concerned!
She had heard that their chief architect would also be attending today!
This meant that Jin Chengyan would see his wife again after four long years at this signing ceremony!
Alice had specially brought him a suit that Jin Chengyan was most satisfied with, complete with a tie and a pocket square. His shoes were polished to a shine; he dressed impeccably to present his best self before her.
He hoped that after four years, his appearance would still catch Jono's eye and that she wouldn't be able to look away when she first saw him.
He sat on the side representing the Jin Family, glancing at his watch from time to time. Though he appeared calm on the surface, he knew he was as nervous as an eighteen-year-old boy!
"Are you really going, sis?" Qiao Chen asked, already standing downstairs at the Jin Family residence, gripping her sister's wrist as she admired her polished appearance.
She wore a white shirt under a fitted blazer, paired with matching trousers that accentuated her curves perfectly.
Her long hair was styled into a neat bun at the back of her head, and her makeup leaned towards cooler tones. After four years, his sister had transformed completely.
"I'm back to resolve the issues between him and me. Even if I don't come here today, he'll find me tomorrow," she replied. Jono hadn't had the chance to tell Qiao Chen about seeing Jin Mengli yesterday. Knowing Jin Mengli's personality, she had likely informed Jin Chengyan right away.
As for why Jin Chengyan hadn't sought her out yesterday, it might have been due to the shock of becoming a father.
Qiao Chen nodded and released Jono's hand, her expression returning to normal.
Behind them was the company team, preparing for the signing ceremony with the Jin Family. Both sides valued this event highly, and the media was paying close attention.
After all, one was the most influential company in Qin Cheng, while the other was a rising star in recent years; every move they made was under scrutiny.
However, when the Qiao siblings appeared at the signing ceremony, the atmosphere became electric!

The gasps of surprise filled the air as Jono seemed unfazed by it all, calmly walking up to the stage with Qiao Chen.
From the moment Jono stepped through the door, Jin Chengyan's gaze had not left her.
She had lost weight; her face looked noticeably thinner. The waist that used to be easily grasped by one hand now seemed small enough to encircle with just one arm. Her long legs, wrapped in tailored trousers, appeared even more slender!
Moreover, she had become even more stunning; the cooler tones suited her perfectly. The expression of disdain she wore was strikingly vivid on her face—something he never knew could be so beautifully displayed!
Jin Chengyan felt that he might lose his ability to speak. He could only watch as the siblings approached him, Qiao Chen politely shaking his hand and addressing him as "Mr. Jin."
Then, Jono extended her hand.
"Hello, Mr. Jin. I am the company's chief architect, Faye." She smiled slightly, her demeanor distant and polite, as if they had never met before.
Jin Chengyan snapped back to reality from Jono's smile.
Alright, Faye!
"Hello, Faye!" Jin Chengyan said as he shook Jono's hand. Her fingers were cool, just like every night in the past when he held her hand, gradually warming her icy fingers.
She calmly withdrew her hand and stood beside Qiao Chen, appearing noble and aloof like a peacock in front of the Jin family employees and the reporters present.
The audience gradually calmed down due to the undercurrents on stage. After all, even their Jin Shao showed little emotional fluctuation, although anyone with keen eyes could see the restlessness beneath Jin Chengyan's gaze!
But he controlled it well!
The signing ceremony went smoothly. Jin Chengyan and Qiao Chen both signed their names on the contract, holding it up for photos on stage.
Unexpectedly, Jin Chengyan insisted on having Jono stand in the middle!

Jono shifted slightly at her waist; the hand did not move away.
"Mr. Jin, do you always flirt with female employees from partner companies?" A calm voice slipped from Jono's lips, audible only to them due to their proximity.
Jin Chengyan leaned closer to Jono, their faces just a few inches apart. Suddenly, his grip tightened, forcing Jono to press against him.
"I'm just teasing you," the ambiguous words reached Jono's ears, enveloped by the masculine aura that radiated from Jin Chengyan.
However, at that moment, he seemed incapable of making Jono blush, even as he brazenly caressed her waist. Such an intimate and private gesture!
"I'm sorry, but we're not familiar with each other," Jono replied coldly.
"Not familiar?" Jin Chengyan countered in a tone that matched Jono's chill. "You've already had my child and you say we're not familiar?"
Jin Chengyan watched as Jono remained unfazed by his words, her expression unchanged, not even a flicker of her eyebrows betraying any emotion.
Meanwhile, the reporters below had finished taking pictures, most of which featured Jono and Jin Chengyan together. Tomorrow's headlines would likely not be about the Jin Family's collaboration but rather about the reunion of Jin Shao and Mrs. Jin!
"Faye!" Qiao Chen suddenly grabbed Jono's wrist. "Let's go back to the company."
"Jono!" Jin Chengyan seized her other wrist, and the camaraderie from earlier had vanished between the two men on stage.
With so many eyes watching them, Jono felt the tension in the air.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Jin, but my name is Faye!" Jono struggled slightly to free her arm, correcting his mistake.
"Faye?" Jin Chengyan scoffed. "I think I need to remind you that you're Jono, not Faye!" He suddenly reacted.
But below, security from the Jin Family appeared out of nowhere, preventing anyone from continuing to take pictures and slowly ushering them outside.
The sudden commotion was all for Jono.
Qiao Chen was no longer the same Qiao Chen from years past; he firmly held onto his sister's wrist without any intention of letting go.
"Mr. Jin, are you planning to play hardball?" Qiao Chen's confident voice suggested he wasn't afraid of any tough tactics from Jin Chengyan.
"Qiao Chen, this has nothing to do with you!"
“Faye's matters are my matters!”
Qiao Chen kept mentioning Faye, and it was driving Jin Chengyan crazy!
“Qiao Chen, you go ahead. I will be back soon,” Jono reassured Qiao Chen, fully aware that his brother would do anything for him.
If it weren't for her insistence this time, Qiao Chen probably wouldn't have collaborated with the Jin Family.
Qiao Chen cast a deep glance at Jono, unwilling to let him be alone with Jin Chengyan, yet she remained resolute!

“Not familiar, huh?” He held her chin, his breath fanning across her face, his body tightly pressed against hers. “Then let me do something to make you more familiar!”
