"Is it the Tomb Raiding Sect?" Third asked.
Zhou Li, with his delicate features, slightly furrowed his brows. He spoke clearly, "Yes."
Zhou Li took off his military cap and placed it neatly on the table, brushing off the dust from its brim. He said calmly, "What he said is correct. We are from the Tomb Raiding Sect."
"Sounds nice to say it's the Tomb Raiding Sect, but in reality, it's just Tomb Raider," Second retorted sarcastically.
The middle-aged Bearded Officer said, "Believe it or not, I can make you die right now."
"Are you threatening me?" Second replied defiantly.
Zhou Li interjected, "Dafeng, no need to be rude. Since I consider them guests, please show some respect."
Dafeng reluctantly shot a glance at Second and muttered under his breath, "Believe it or not, I can take you down."
"Don't go too far!" Zhou Li continued. Dafeng then stepped aside.
Third felt puzzled: despite Dafeng's higher rank, he seemed to fear Zhou Li. He asked at the right moment, "Why did you bring us here?"
"We agreed to be straightforward," Zhou Li replied. "I just want to know where the ancient artifacts you captured came from." He then pulled out two beads from his pocket.
Seven's eyes lit up as he exclaimed, "Those are mine! Hand them back if you're sensible."
Zhou Li ignored Seven's words and continued calmly, "I just want to know the origin of these treasures. They can be considered extraordinary artifacts. The fact that you possess them shows that you are definitely not ordinary people."
“Do you think we're some kind of Tomb Raider?” Second blurted out. The atmosphere instantly froze. No one spoke.
After a while, Old Man finally said, “I got this by chance. If you like it, I’ll give it to you.”
Upon hearing the word "give," Seven became anxious. That was a rare treasure! Just as he was about to speak, Third turned to Seven and said, “This is just an external object.”
Seven had no choice but to remain silent.
Zhou Li smiled lightly, thinking that this brother was quite straightforward. However, what I need is its origin and history. Of course, if you want to give it to me, I wouldn’t mind.
Seven cursed inwardly, “Damn it! If it weren't in your hands right now, I would definitely take you down.”
At that moment, Wang Er Gou spoke up, “I’m afraid that place isn’t something you can get involved with.”
“Oh? Is that so?” Zhou Li retorted.
Wang Er Gou stepped forward and continued, “Yes.”
At this point, Da Feng said, “If we can’t go in quietly, let’s go in loud and blow it open.”
Wang Er Gou smiled without saying a word. Zhou Li’s face darkened. “If we can blow open an ancient tomb, what do we need the Tomb Raiding Sect for?”
“I think you know that a forced harvest isn’t sweet.”
“Not necessarily,” Zhou Li replied. “Over the years, I’ve been through all kinds of tombs.” As he spoke, he took out a talisman to show Wang Er Gou.
Wang Er Gou was taken aback and said, "You are a Tomb Raider." Zhou Li nodded.
A young Tomb Raider was something Wang Er Gou had never heard of; he only remembered those with white hair and beards.
"But I still have to tell you, that's a dangerous place."
Zhou Li smiled but remained silent.
Suddenly, a voice interrupted, "A bunch of frogs at the bottom of a well. Haven't you heard of our..." At this point, he stopped and continued, "Haven't you heard of our commander's reputation?"
Second chimed in, "Anyone can brag. You should check out my Cao's reputation; it will surely shock you."
Dafeng was infuriated, his nostrils flaring as he glared. "You little brat, are you challenging me today?"
Second nonchalantly replied, "Yes."
"Damn it, do you believe I can take your life as easily as squashing an ant?"
Second was also fired up by the threat. He shouted back, "Come on then, let's see you try!"
Dafeng stepped forward, but Old Man quickly shouted, " Second, don't be impulsive."
Dafeng was also halted by Zhou Li. The two glared at each other fiercely. Zhou Li said, "Sometimes we are not just interested in the artifacts within the Tomb; once we reach a certain level, we are more eager to see some extraordinary Tombs."
"Finding a Tomb is never an easy task, and now that one has come to us, I am more than happy."
"That's insane! To actually have Tomb Raiding as a personal interest!" Seven muttered.
The others did not interrupt Zhou Li. Zhou Li continued, "Back when I was at Zhou Mountain, I discovered an ancient royal tomb. Unfortunately, it was already visited by predecessors. I just happened to pass by."
At that moment, Third spoke up, "Even if we know there are ancient tombs, we've been inside them. If you're wary of that, it won't help to tell you."
Zhou Li replied, "What you call 'different fields are like different mountains,' you wouldn't understand."
Third was momentarily speechless. However, Wang Er Gou said, "Actually, it wouldn't hurt to tell you."
Zhou Li's spirit perked up. Third glanced at Wang Er Gou, who signaled for Third not to worry.
Wang Er Gou said, "Speaking of ancient tombs, I actually found one that I can guarantee no one has ever entered, and it's a real Tomb. Both its layout and mechanisms are top-notch."
"If you've never been inside, how do you know it's top-notch?"
Wang Er Gou's eyes darted around as he replied, "I've heard about it. But it's definitely true."
Zhou Li scoffed, "Do you think I would believe baseless claims?"
Wang Er Gou said, "I have evidence." As soon as he finished speaking, Zhou Li's delicate face turned slightly pale, and he immediately asked, "What evidence?"
Wang Er Gou replied in a low voice, "Near the North Gate at the Eastern Pass, there's a gorge with thick miasma at the bottom. This has made it an unapproachable area. However, what you don't know is that this gorge was man-made and hides the Tomb of an ancient emperor."
"And this Tomb is quite special; its uniqueness lies in the fact that it is 'suspended in mid-air.' You need a specific opportunity to enter it. This truly qualifies as an extraordinary ancient tomb."
Zhou Li listened carefully. With so many years of Tomb Raiding experience, he had seen it all; even the so-called zombie reading had been dealt with by him, so what was there to fear?
The Patriarch had once discovered an ancient tomb in a great river in the western desert, a tomb that could be called astonishing. However, upon opening it, they found only a stunningly beautiful woman buried inside, with no accompanying burial items whatsoever. Not a single extra item was present. Zhou Li fell into deep thought.
Dafeng interjected, "Stop rambling about the tomb in the air."
Zhou Li's train of thought was interrupted by Dafeng. He woke up and continued, "Brother, are you talking about the tomb in the air? I believe it."
Dafeng swallowed the words he was about to say.
Second couldn't help but laugh at Dafeng's defeated expression. Dafeng, feeling frustrated, sat down heavily and slammed his military cap on the table.
Zhou Li ignored him. "What you just mentioned is the gorge at the junction of Eastern Pass and North Gate, right?"
Wang Er Gou nodded solemnly.
Zhou Li pondered for a moment and said, "I hope you're not lying to me."
Third asked, "When can we leave?" Zhou Li glanced at Third but remained silent.
"Don't think about leaving!" Dafeng shouted.
Third frowned slightly but didn’t speak up directly. Zhou Li seemed to be contemplating something.
Finally, he uttered a chilling statement: "I hope what you said is true; otherwise, no matter where you go, I will find a way to kill you." His tone carried a sinister edge.
"Does this mean we can leave?" Second asked.
Zhou Li remained silent, which was taken as an agreement. However, Da Feng was not satisfied and said, "Isn't that too easy on them?"
"Are you questioning my decision?" Da Feng quickly replied, "I wouldn't dare."
Zhou Li's expression and tone softened a bit as he said, "Da Feng, please see them out for me." Da Feng sighed and strode out of the room, yelling at the soldiers who were inquiring about the situation. The soldiers cowered under his glare, not daring to speak.
The three of them began to move, but Seven remained rooted in place and finally said, "You have to leave us some spending money!" Knowing it was impossible to get back those treasures, getting some money for expenses would suffice.
Zhou Li smiled gracefully and entered a side room, returning with a cloth bag. Seven took it, weighing it in his hands while listening to the sound it made. Satisfied, he walked away.
Da Feng turned back into the room and scolded the few who were still lingering, "Stop acting like a bunch of women, dawdling around."
The four had no choice but to follow quickly. Once they reached the military encampment's exit, Da Feng politely clasped his fists and said to them, "Farewell."
He turned to walk back but took a few steps before turning around again.
The four hadn't even had a chance to start moving.
Da Feng looked at Second and said, "Kid, I have to spar with you today. Are you up for it?"
Second stepped forward, and Seven tugged at him. Second turned to Seven and said, "Are you trying to make me look foolish?" Seven released his grip.
Seeing that Second was also a bold person, Da Feng unbuckled his belt and declared, "Kid, today I'm going to hit you so hard that even your mother won't recognize you. That'll make me feel better."
"Come at me if you want to fight, stop whining like a woman," Second retorted.
Da Feng couldn't help but laugh at his anger. No longer holding back, he delivered a swift kick. Second dodged to the side and threw a punch at Da Feng, who easily evaded it.
The two stepped back a few paces, glaring at each other. Da Feng remarked, "I didn't expect you to have some skills."
Second replied bluntly, "You'd be surprised at what else I can do." With that, he swept his leg toward Da Feng, forcing him to retreat several steps.
Seizing an opportunity, Da Feng lunged forward and grabbed Second's shoulder. Caught off guard, Second couldn't defend himself and was thrown to the ground by Da Feng.
Feeling defeated, Second spat on the ground and said, "I'm getting serious now."
Da Feng feigned weakness, saying, "I was only using fifty percent of my strength earlier."
With that, both charged at each other again, grabbing each other's collars. They were locked in a stalemate, neither willing to give an inch.
"Damn it, if you have the guts, let go of me," Second challenged.
"If you have the guts, then you let go!" Da Feng shot back. Second was momentarily speechless. Their hands were locked in struggle while their legs were also busy.
Both had solid foundations in their stances; neither could topple the other. Neither was willing to relent.
Meanwhile, the three spectators were getting bored. Soon enough, a circle of soldiers gathered around them, and the commotion escalated.
Taking advantage of the commotion, Second said, "Zhou Li, what are you doing here?"
Dafeng felt a sudden panic and turned his head to look, but it was already too late.
Second swept his leg, knocking Dafeng to the ground. Second then followed up with a move that pinned Dafeng down.
Gasping for breath, Dafeng cursed, "You little sneak! That was underhanded. This round doesn't count; let's start over."
Second was not about to let him off the hook and kept him pinned down.
At that moment, the crowd parted to make way, and they all shouted, "Hello, Commander."
Zhou Li called out loudly, "Dafeng, you're causing trouble again."
Second was someone who knew when to back off and quickly got up. Dafeng performed a quick roll and sprang back to his feet, brushing off the dust from his clothes.
Dafeng shouted at Second, "That didn't count; let's do it again."
Second stepped aside, refusing to engage further. Zhou Li said, "Dafeng, let them go."
