"Yu Xia?" My voice trembled as I asked uncertainly. 0

He looked up, a familiar and reassuring smile spreading across his face. "Sister Fang, it's me!" There was a hint of surprise in his voice. "You don't look so good. What's wrong?" 0

A mix of emotions surged within me, the fear from earlier still vivid in my mind. "Where... where are we?" 0

Yu Xia glanced around, his brow furrowed. "I'm not sure either. Didn't you bring me here?" 0

"We should call the police. Where's my phone?" He began searching anxiously. 0

I forced a smile; he had thrown my phone away long ago. "We need to talk, Yu Xia." I took a deep breath and began recounting the bizarre events of the past two days, along with my various speculations. 0

"Is there... someone else inside you?" I asked tentatively. 0

Yu Xia's expression turned serious. "I'm afraid so. Every day at nine in the morning and evening, we switch control." 0

My heart sank; it was already nine o'clock. 0

"Our time is seven, yours is nine. There must be some connection between them." I tried to find a pattern. 0

Yu Xia pondered for a moment. "Maybe, but that doesn't help our current situation." 0

"We need to find a way to call for help, to report this." I insisted. 0

"I agree, but not now." Yu Xia walked to the door, cautiously observing the surroundings. "We're not familiar with this place, and it's too dangerous to act at night. Let's wait until morning." 0

I nodded, agreeing with his suggestion. 0

"We need to figure out why we ended up here and find clues to get back." Yu Xia's voice was firm. 0

I strained to recall anything but found no leads. 0

"By the way, when did you activate your Particle Accelerator?" I suddenly asked. 0

"Not long after dinner, probably before seven," Yu Xia replied. 0

A spark of realization lit up my mind. "It must be related to the Particle Accelerator!" 0

"But I was recording everything until that Inspector showed up..." Yu Xia suddenly paused, his gaze sharpening. "Sister Fang, could he be involved?" 0

"I don't even know who he is," I shook my head, skeptical. 0

"Could he have tampered with something? Our crossing might be part of a conspiracy," Yu Xia became increasingly agitated. 0

"Have you received any strange emails or numbers recently?" He leaned closer to me, a hint of tension in his eyes. 0

I was bewildered by his question. "We're just an ordinary research institute; how could there be any secrets?" 0

"Is there really nothing?" His voice was low, sending a wave of unease through me. 0

I took a few steps back and accidentally bumped into a steel bar on the ground, creating a loud noise. I nervously glanced around, fearful of being discovered. 0

Yu Xia's expression suddenly changed. "Someone's coming! We need to go to the second floor!" 0

I followed him quietly upstairs, hiding behind the wall as I anxiously observed the movements below. 0

Suddenly, a figure rushed in. In the moonlight, I recognized it was Li Tiancheng. 0

"Sister Fang," Yu Xia's voice whispered in my ear, tightening my chest. "I've seen him before; he's the Inspector." 0

My body froze in place, a chill creeping up from my feet. 0

He was the Inspector—had he crossed over too? 0

No, Xiao Yu's speculation was likely correct; he must be behind all of this! How else could he know there was something wrong with my body? 0

His intention for taking me away was clear—he must want to lure out Xiao Yu and then silence us! 0
