Chen Junfeng's profession is quite similar to that of a lawyer; he helps others resolve disputes and mediate various conflicts. We met through work. He has been in this city for three years and has already bought a house, and he has a younger sister at home. We usually get along well, but I have sensed that he seems troubled lately. He wants me to change my mind about having children and often shares how adorable and wonderful kids can be. 0

Chen Junfeng respects my feelings on this matter; he knows I don't want to have children, so he hasn't brought it up again. However, every time the topic arises, his eyes grow dimmer. Today, Lu Yueyue deliberately mentioned this subject, and Chen Junfeng's gaze darkened even more. 0

"Ziyun, are you starting to dislike him?" Lu Yueyue asked. 0

I turned to her and scoffed, "Are you out of your mind?" 0

"I know you want to pursue him," I said coldly, "but isn't it unethical to maliciously slander someone else's girlfriend while you're trying to win over a man?" 0

"Do you talk to people like this all the time?" I looked at her. "Or is this your usual tactic?" 0

Lu Yueyue was taken aback but quickly grew agitated. "No!" 0

"I just think..." she stammered, "I think DINK is pretty good." 0

"Ha." I chuckled coldly. "Why are you reacting so strongly?" 0

She pressed her lips together, her eyes reddening slightly. "I'm not reacting strongly!" 0

I crossed my arms and looked at her with a smirk. "Really?" 0

"I was just asking you," I sighed. "Are you overthinking this?" 0

Lu Yueyue trembled with anger, tears welling in her eyes. "I'm not!" 0

"You are," I said slowly. "Your expression tells me you're feeling guilty." 0

I continued, "If you haven't done anything wrong, why are you so nervous?" 0

Lu Yueyue was so angry that she cried. 0

Chen Junfeng frowned and said, "Ziyun, don't say anything more." 0

"Fine," I replied, turning to Lu Yueyue. "You should move out tomorrow." 0

Lu Yueyue was taken aback. "On what grounds?" 0

I said, "Based on what you just said, it makes me feel unsafe living with you." 0

"The contract states otherwise," she retorted angrily. "You can't unilaterally breach it!" 0

I nodded. "You're right, I can't. That's why I'm asking you to move out." 0

I continued, "By the way, you haven't paid this month's rent, have you?" 0

I sighed. "How about I forgo a month's rent if you agree to move out?" 0

Her eyes turned red. "No way!" 0

I asked, "Then what do you want to do?" 0

Lu Yueyue replied, "...I'm going to call the police!" 0

"Go ahead, call them," I said. 0

With no other option, she angrily started packing her things and stormed off. 0

In the afternoon, I received a phone call. 0

"Is this Ms. Shen Ziyun?" 0

"Yes," I answered. 0

"I'm a delivery person from a store where you previously purchased a set of skincare products. The package has arrived," the delivery person said. "However, your phone was unreachable, so I delivered it to your boyfriend's house instead." 0

The package contained skincare products that my mother needed. 0

"Okay, I understand," I said. "I'll go pick it up now." 0

I changed my clothes and headed to Chen Junfeng's house. 0

Upon arriving at the neighborhood where Chen Junfeng lived, I first went to the property management office to inquire about the delivery. The package had indeed been delivered to Chen Junfeng's home. I assumed it would be left at his doorstep, considering it was summer vacation and he should have already gone to work. However, there was no package at the door. 0

Just as I was about to enter the code to unlock the door, it suddenly swung open. 0

"Who are you..." 0

The person who opened the door was a woman in her late forties. 0
