The night was deep, and only a few cars remained parked alone in the company parking lot. Lin Yue had finished her day at work and was preparing to drive home.
Her footsteps echoed in the empty parking lot, sounding particularly clear.

Lin Yue tried to avoid him, but Jiang Chen relentlessly pursued her. "Jiang Chen, we’ve broken up; there’s nothing left to discuss."
Jiang Chen grabbed Lin Yue's arm, his voice tinged with urgency. "Lin Wan, I know I was wrong. Give me a chance; let’s start over."
Lin Yue forcefully broke free from Jiang Chen's grip and coldly replied, "Jiang Chen, you’ve hurt me too deeply. I won’t give you another chance."
At that moment, a bright light shone toward them as Lu Tingxiao's car pulled up beside them. He stepped out of the vehicle, his gaze icy as he looked at Jiang Chen. "Mr. Jiang, let her go."
Jiang Chen glanced at Lu Tingxiao and then at Lin Yue before reluctantly walking away. But before leaving, he threw out one last threat. "Lin Wan, do you think this is over? I will expose your secrets and leave you with nothing."
Lu Tingxiao walked over to Lin Yue and asked with concern, "Are you okay?"
Lin Yue shook her head, the fear in her heart gradually dissipating. "Thank you, Mr. Lu."
Lu Tingxiao gently patted her shoulder, signaling her to get in the car. "I'll take you home."
Inside the car, Lin Yue's hand accidentally brushed against a note in her pocket. It was the one she had found in Lin Wan's drawer today, with an address and a time written on it. Her heart raced; this could be the crucial clue to finding her sister.
