The investigation went smoothly, as the evidence on Liu Juan was clear; she had been bullied to death. Yue Qing only needed to find out who had tormented Liu Juan.
Yue Qing harshly interrogated several Sanda Coaches, and they finally confessed. Not only did they admit to bullying Yue Qing's daughter, but they also claimed that it was Wei Ran who had instigated everything.
With rage in her eyes, Yue Qing killed them all. She became like a madwoman, stalking each of them and exacting her revenge. She drugged the first Sanda Coach and stabbed him repeatedly until he died. The second Sanda Coach had his eyes gouged out, leaving him to suffer a slow and painful death. The third one had his mouth sewn shut, causing him to suffocate.
Soon, it was Wei Ran's turn. This time, Yue Qing was cautious because Wei Ran was not an ordinary person; he was the heir to the Wei Group. If anything happened to him, the Wei Family would surely seek retribution.
What Yue Qing needed to do was kill Wei Ran without anyone noticing. She sent him a photo of Liu Juan, demanding fifty thousand for her release. As expected, when Wei Ran saw Liu Juan's picture, he came with the money. He arrived alone.
Watching him with his head down, typing on his phone, she guessed he must be calling for help. In a swift motion, as he bent down, Yue Qing struck him on the head with a hammer and dragged him into the house.
Looking at the unconscious Wei Ran, Yue Qing finally broke down in tears. She touched Liu Juan's mangled face and gently wiped away the blood. "Good daughter, Mommy will take you home soon."
In a daze, I caught a glimpse of the hatred in my mother's eyes. She looked at me, her hands trembling, yet her gaze was filled with endless loathing. She placed her phone, which had been recording, to the side and then seemed to look right through me, as if I didn't exist.
With a swift motion, she grabbed Wei Ran's hand and without hesitation, plunged a needle into the flesh beneath his thumbnail.
"Ah!"
Wei Ran cried out in agony, his hands and legs bound tightly together, leaving him unable to escape. I couldn't help but shiver slightly, but I was already dead; a soul feels no pain.
Wei Ran had been hidden here for three days. During that time, he hadn't eaten and had been suspended in the corner of the room. The defiance that once sparkled in his eyes had long vanished, replaced by sheer despair.
"Woo... please let me go. I won't tell anyone," he pleaded as my mother tore off the tape from his mouth.
"Back then, my daughter begged you just like this, didn't she?" My mother smiled, looking at Wei Ran. Though she was smiling, her eyes were filled with boundless hatred.
"Do you know? My daughter was always obedient since she was little. She never fought back; when others bullied her, she didn't dare to speak up." As she spoke, tears streamed down her face. With each word, she picked up another needle and mercilessly jabbed it into Wei Ran's fingers.
"Ah!!! Let me go! Please! It hurts so much!"
Wei Ran's pain caused veins to bulge on his forehead as he struggled desperately, but all he received in return were more needles piercing his fingers.
"Does it hurt? Is this what pain feels like? Do you have any idea how much my daughter suffered at your hands?"
Mother frantically jabbed the needle into Wei Ran, causing him to convulse in pain.
"Please, let me go. I won't dare do it again," he pleaded, looking at her with eyes that mirrored my own from long ago.
Helplessness, despair.
"Don't be afraid, it will be over soon. Once you're done suffering, I'll send you down to join my daughter," she said, stroking his face with a gentle smile.
As I watched my mother in front of me, it felt as if I had never truly known her.
She seemed to have lost her mind.
