"Madam, the 'Heart of the Ocean' sapphire you ordered has arrived," Uncle Luo said.
"Oh?" I exclaimed in surprise. "Quick, let me see it."
"Of course." Uncle Luo nodded and handed me a box.
I took the box and opened it to find a delicate card inside. It read: "To my most precious love, may this gift witness our eternal love."
Below the card lay the legendary jewel—the 'Heart of the Ocean' sapphire, securely set in a simple silver base, emanating a soft blue light like a mysterious treasure from the deep sea.
"Uncle Luo, is this really the 'Heart of the Ocean' sapphire?" I carefully picked up the card and base, marveling at its beauty.
"Yes, Madam. This display base was specially customized for you to better appreciate this jewel," Uncle Luo replied.
"It’s truly beautiful," I admired, filled with affection for this gift.
Although I loved the sapphire, I had no intention of wearing it. After all, I was no longer that beauty-loving girl from my youth; my need for jewelry was minimal. I had taken it just for collection purposes.
After placing the jewel safely, I headed downstairs.
"Madam, are you going out?" Uncle Luo asked as he saw me descend.
"No," I shook my head. "I’m just wandering around at home."
"Oh," Uncle Luo responded.
"Uncle Luo, what did Jing Tian say about me purchasing the 'Heart of the Ocean' sapphire?" A thought suddenly struck me, prompting my question.
"I’ve already informed him," Uncle Luo said.
"And what was his reaction?" I asked curiously.
"He didn’t have much of a reaction," Uncle Luo replied. "He simply said that since you liked it, you should go ahead and buy it."
"Just like that?" I was surprised.
"Yes," Uncle Luo nodded.
"He didn’t ask how much I spent?" I inquired.
"No," Uncle Luo shook his head.
"And he didn’t question why I wanted to buy this sapphire?" I pressed on.
"Neither did he," Uncle Luo said.
"Well then." Disappointment washed over me.
I had expected Bo Jingtian to say something more, but he remained silent.
"However, sir did hear about Liu Bin's disrespectful behavior towards you at the auction," Uncle Luo added.
"Oh?" I raised an eyebrow. "What did he say?"
"He has taken appropriate measures against Liu Bin," Uncle Luo stated.
"Oh." I nodded.
I hadn’t expected Bo Jingtian to know about Liu Bin; it seemed he cared about me after all.
"By the way, Madam, sir will be returning from his business trip tonight," Uncle Luo mentioned.
"He’s coming back tonight?" I was taken aback.
"Yes," Uncle Luo confirmed with a nod.
"When will he arrive?" I asked.
"He should be home around seven o'clock," Uncle Luo replied.
"Then he can make it back in time for dinner?" I inquired.
"Yes," Uncle Luo nodded.
"That's great!" I said happily. I hadn't seen Bo Jingtian for several days, and I missed him a lot.
"Indeed," Uncle Luo agreed, looking pleased. "Madam, do you have some time now?"
"I do," I nodded.
"Could you help the sir by brewing some Health Tea?" Uncle Luo asked.
"Brew tea?" I was taken aback.
"Yes," Uncle Luo confirmed with a nod. "He drinks a cup of Health Tea every evening, and I'm taking the night off to visit my grandson, so..."
"So you want me to help Bo Jingtian brew tea?" I clarified.
"Yes," Uncle Luo nodded again. "Would that be alright, Madam?"
"Of course," I replied. "I don't have anything else to do tonight."
"Thank you so much, Madam," Uncle Luo expressed his gratitude.
"You're welcome," I waved my hand dismissively. "I'll go brew the tea now."
"Alright," Uncle Luo nodded.
After bidding farewell to Uncle Luo, I headed to the kitchen to prepare the tea. However, as soon as I stepped inside, I noticed that everyone in the villa had disappeared.
Now, aside from the chef and the maid, there was no one else around.
"Hey, where is everyone?" I wondered aloud.
"Madam, they all took leave and went home about half an hour ago," a maid informed me.
"They all went home?" I was surprised.
"Yes," the maid nodded.
"Why?" I asked, puzzled.
"It seems there was some urgent matter at their homes," the maid explained.
"Oh," I nodded in understanding. No wonder everyone had vanished; they had taken leave to go home.
"Madam, are you also taking leave?" the maid asked.
"Me?" I shook my head. "I don't need to."
I was just here to brew tea for Bo Jingtian; once I finished, I'd return to my room.
"Alright," the maid nodded.
"You all go ahead and continue with your work," I said.
"Yes," the maid replied.
After the two maids left, I began to brew tea. Following the method Uncle Luo taught me, I placed the tea leaves into the teapot and then poured in boiling water. After waiting for five minutes, I poured the tea into a cup and added an appropriate amount of sugar and honey. Finally, I placed the teacup on a tray and carried it out.
I arrived in the hall and found Bo Jingtian had already returned.
"Bo Jingtian, you're back!" I said happily.
"Mm," Bo Jingtian nodded. "Why are you in the hall?"
"I was waiting for you to have dinner," I replied.
"You were waiting for me?" Bo Jingtian asked in surprise.
"Yeah," I nodded. "Uncle Luo said you would be back for dinner tonight, so I thought I'd wait for you to eat together."
"I'm sorry, I didn't know you were waiting for me," Bo Jingtian said.
"It's okay," I shook my head.
"Then let's go have dinner," Bo Jingtian suggested.
"Sure," I nodded.
We walked into the dining room together and started our meal. During dinner, I noticed that Bo Jingtian was not picky about food and had a very pleasant eating manner.
"Bo Jingtian, you look really good while eating," I couldn't help but compliment him.
"You look good," Bo Jingtian replied.
"Huh?" I was taken aback.
Is Bo Jingtian complimenting me? I didn't expect him to say that I looked good.
"What's wrong?" Bo Jingtian asked when he saw my surprise.
"Nothing," I shook my head. "I was just a bit surprised."
