Yama's Wedding
In the Classic of Mountains and Seas, it is recorded that on Dan Cave Mountain, there is a bird resembling a chicken, adorned with five colors, known as the Phoenix Empress, whose first character signifies virtue.
Dan Cave Mountain is a celestial mountain, home to many animals that have cultivated here for thousands of years, long before the existence of humans.
“Phoenix Empress, I must leave this place.”
“Candle Dragon brother, isn’t Dan Cave Mountain nice? Why do you want to leave?” The Phoenix Empress looked at the man in confusion. Candle Dragon brother was the first person she had seen since birth; he had always protected her from being bullied in Dan Cave Mountain, where the animals regarded Candle Dragon brother as their leader. She cherished him the most.
“No, Dan Cave Mountain is wonderful,” Candle Dragon smiled and patted the Phoenix Empress's head. Did this girl not want him to leave?
“Then why must you go? Can’t you take Phoenix Empress with you? I can help take care of Candle Dragon brother,” she pleaded, tugging at his sleeve in hopes that he would take her along.
“Oh? What can you do, Phoenix Empress?” Compassion picked up the Phoenix Empress and bounced her lightly; it seemed she had gained a bit of weight recently.
“I, I, I can…” The Phoenix Empress blushed deeply. She lowered her head and thought for a long time but still couldn’t come up with anything she could do to help Candle Dragon brother. Unable to hold back, she burst into tears.
Candle Dragon looked at his dampened shoulder and couldn’t help but laugh. “Alright, alright. It’s okay if Phoenix Empress can’t help Candle Dragon brother right now; you’ll be able to when you grow up.” He wiped away her tears and gently set her down.
“Phoenix Empress, I need to do something very important. Lady Nuwa has asked me to assist Emperor Yan Huangdi in defeating Chiyou so that humanity can survive. You must stay here and cultivate properly.”
“Then… can’t you take me with you?”
"It’s too dangerous. The Phoenix Empress cannot go with me," Candle Dragon said, patting the Phoenix Empress on the head.
"I don’t care! I’m already thousands of years old. It’s you, Brother Candle Dragon, who doesn’t want me anymore. Hmph! I never want to see you again!" The Phoenix Empress angrily left Candle Dragon's embrace and ran off into the distance.

She must not leave Dan Cave Mountain. I’ll return as soon as I finish my business," he summoned Luan Bird and then descended the mountain with a sense of relief.
Unbeknownst to him, the Phoenix Empress had witnessed everything. "Hmph! I knew it! He wants to leave me all alone at Dan Cave Mountain. Brother Candle Dragon is the worst! I must sneak out!"
Time flew by, and nearly a century passed without any sign of Candle Dragon's return. During this century, she continuously attempted to escape but was caught each time by Luan Bird. "I'll try again today," the Phoenix Empress encouraged herself quietly.
"Sister Luan Bird, dear Sister Luan Bird, please let me go out just this once. It’s been a hundred years! I just want to sneak a peek at Brother Candle Dragon and then come back," she pleaded, tugging at Luan Bird's sleeve.
"Lord Zhu Long has commanded that you cannot leave Dan Cave Mountain," Luan Bird replied seriously, repeating the same words she had said for a hundred years.
"Oh come on, dear sister! Look how much I've grown! I want to help Brother Candle Dragon."
"Lord Zhu Long has commanded that you cannot leave Dan Cave Mountain."
"Fine, fine! Stubborn sister!" The Phoenix Empress stomped her foot and stepped away from Luan Bird. It seemed that this plan wouldn’t work either; she would have to think of another way.
The Phoenix Empress made her way to the back mountain of Dan Cave Mountain. Although there was a barrier surrounding Dan Cave Mountain, there was one spot in the back that had become weak after her relentless attempts over the past century. "Today, I will break this barrier and definitely get out!" The Phoenix Empress gathered her spiritual energy and focused on attacking that weak point.
With a sizzling sound, she exclaimed, "I did it! I did it!" The Phoenix Empress jumped for joy. "I need to hurry out; otherwise, Sister Luan Bird will chase me back!" Transforming into a wisp of green smoke, the Phoenix Empress dashed out of Dan Cave Mountain.
Luan Bird silently observed everything and cast a spell.
Inside the large tent, a White-Clad Young Master was studying the troop deployment map before him. Suddenly, he clenched his fist, and a message appeared: "Lord Zhu Long, Phoenix Lord has left Dan Cave Mountain." That girl has run out. Keeping her alone in Dan Cave Mountain for a century was indeed hard on her. It was also my fault for not considering this; this battle has been going on for nearly a hundred years, and it is time for it to come to an end.
"Come here, prepare the troops for battle!"
"Yes, my lord!"
