Li Ming and the others made their way through the forest near the Southern Capital, navigating through trees and paths while supporting the still weak Su Xue. As night fell, moonlight filtered through the treetops, illuminating their weary faces.
After hours of walking, they finally arrived at a secluded campsite. This was a temporary Command Post established by Commander Chen Xiang to coordinate the counteroffensive against the demon forces. Li Ming and Master Han carefully settled Su Xue next to a tree root, allowing her to rest for a moment.
Master Han took out a communication device and contacted Chen Xiang. Chen Xiang's image quickly appeared on the screen, his expression grave, with evident fatigue and concern in his eyes.
"Master Han, you finally got through!" Chen Xiang relaxed slightly upon seeing them but soon wore a tense expression. "What’s the situation now?"
Master Han briefly explained their current circumstances before whispering, "Lord Su Xue is in critical condition. We need to get her to safety as soon as possible. Also, we have some bad news to share."
Chen Xiang furrowed his brow, feeling uneasy. "What bad news?"
Master Han took a deep breath and said solemnly, "The Hidden Clan has fallen. The Three Great Families have only one head left, and the various sects are scattered. The demon forces are more powerful than we anticipated; they have been preparing for a long time."
Hearing this news, Chen Xiang's face turned pale, momentarily speechless. He understood the significance of the Hidden Realm; if it fell, resistance on Earth would become even more difficult.
"This... how is this possible?" Chen Xiang murmured softly, a glimmer of despair flashing in his eyes.
Li Ming looked at Chen Xiang, feeling an overwhelming weight in his heart. He knew this news was undoubtedly a severe blow to them, but they could not give up now; they had to persevere.
"Commander Chen Xiang," Li Ming spoke up, striving to make his voice sound resolute, "We must unite and gather all our strength if we are to have any chance of repelling the demons. We cannot give up."
Chen Xiang took a deep breath, trying to calm himself as he nodded. "You're right. We cannot give up; no matter how difficult it gets, we must hold on."
He glanced at Master Han, determination flickering in his gaze. "I will arrange for support as soon as possible to ensure Lord Su Xue's safety. The situation in Southern Capital has stabilized somewhat for now, but attacks from the demon forces are occurring worldwide; portals are appearing everywhere. Clearly, the demons have been preparing for a long time."
Master Han nodded, fully aware of the gravity of the situation. "We will continue forward and meet up with you. Regardless of what happens, we must stand together against the demons."
Li Ming, Chen Yao, and Master Han set off again with Su Xue in tow, heading toward the Southern Capital.
As night deepened, the jungle gradually fell silent, with only the occasional chirping of insects breaking the stillness. Li Ming stood alone in a clearing, moonlight spilling over him and casting a faint glow in the dark forest.
He took a deep breath and began to silently practice his punches. He knew that his current strength was insufficient, and he had to rely on technique to compensate for this flaw. The skill of identifying weaknesses that Mo Shiu had taught him that day was the only ability he could depend on now. He hoped that through continuous practice, he could master this skill and stand undefeated in life-and-death battles.
Li Ming closed his eyes, focusing intently as he threw punches and kicks toward the front. He imagined a Demon Soldier standing before him, each strike filled with lethal determination. His movements became increasingly fluid, every punch and kick seemingly infused with an invisible power, striking at the opponent's weak points.
His breathing grew steady and strong as he silently recalled Mo Shiu's teachings: "Every creature has its vulnerabilities; knowing how to attack these weaknesses allows you to achieve maximum effect in the shortest time."
Li Ming's fist cut through the night air, as if slicing through an invisible barrier. He envisioned the opponent's movements, predicting every possible attack path and reacting swiftly. His fist aimed at the opponent's ribs while his legs swept toward their knees, each strike executed with unmatched precision and force.
Sweat dripped from Li Ming's forehead, his body glistening under the moonlight. He felt the power within him surging continuously; although his Spiritual Energy was depleted, he persisted in every movement, relying on his unwavering belief and indomitable will.
"Weakness..." Li Ming murmured, his fist swinging through the air as if cleaving through darkness. He understood that true strength relied not only on power but also on wisdom and skill. What he needed to do was integrate these techniques to become a true powerhouse.
With a punch thrown, Li Ming felt the wind of his fist brush past his fingertips, as if striking something.
Li Ming practiced silently beside the dark jungle, focusing intently on honing his skills. Suddenly, a familiar voice echoed in his mind, tinged with both mockery and admiration: "Oh... not bad... you've learned that technique quite well..."
Li Ming paused in surprise before frowning and retorting, "So now you can just show up whenever you want?"
Mo Shiu laughed heartily, his voice resonating in Li Ming's mind: "I've always been here; I just haven't spoken until now."
Li Ming stopped his movements, took a deep breath, and tried to calm himself. He knew that Mo Shiu's presence always made him uneasy, but he also understood that this powerful being held undeniable importance for him.
"Since you've been here all along, do you have any advice?" Li Ming asked, his tone carrying a hint of impatience but more so anticipation.
Mo Shiu's voice grew calmer and deeper: "You have grasped the basics of identifying weaknesses, but that's far from enough. True strength relies not just on technique but also on immense composure and wisdom. You must learn to remain calm in any situation, identify your opponent's weaknesses, and respond swiftly."
Li Ming nodded, silently noting these words in his heart. He knew that Mo Shiu's guidance was crucial for him; no matter how mysterious or dangerous this being might be, he had to rely on this knowledge to enhance his strength.
"And," Mo Shiu continued with a hint of provocation in his tone, "while your strength is important, what truly determines victory is your willpower. Only when your resolve is stronger than your opponent's can you defeat them at critical moments."
Li Ming took a deep breath, feeling the power and conviction within him surging continuously. He knew that this battle was far from over; the real challenge was just beginning.
"I will remember your words," Li Ming said softly, a determined light flickering in his eyes.
Mo Shiu laughed heartily, satisfaction lacing his voice. "Good, Li Ming. Remember, no matter what difficulties you face, as long as you remain calm and respond with wisdom, you will surely find the opportunity for victory."
Li Ming nodded and closed his eyes once more, beginning to throw punches. He felt Mo Shiu's presence; although it brought him immense pressure, it also bestowed upon him incredible strength and guidance.
The voice of Mo Shiu echoed again in Li Ming's mind, calm yet stern: "Your punches must be precise, your kicks must be lethal, your steps must be swift, and your intentions must be unclear. The will to fight should far exceed your personal consciousness; even if you faint, you must be able to rise again..."
Li Ming closed his eyes, taking a deep breath, committing every word of Mo Shiu to memory. He began to punch again, each strike filled with power and determination.
"Your punches must be precise." Li Ming silently repeated Mo Shiu's words as his fists struck the air quickly and forcefully, as if hitting an invisible enemy. Each punch carried immense strength, accurately hitting its target.
"Your kicks must be lethal." Li Ming turned and swept a kick across the air; the power in his legs erupted instantly, creating a strong gust of wind. His kicking technique was swift and deadly; each strike left no room for the enemy to defend.
"Your steps must be swift." Li Ming began to move his feet; his steps were light and quick, flickering like a ghost in the night. He understood that rapid movement would allow him to take the initiative in battle and evade enemy attacks.
"Your intentions must be unclear." Li Ming's movements became even more agile; his attack paths were no longer fixed but varied randomly, making them unpredictable. He knew that unclear intentions would make it difficult for the enemy to grasp his actions and defend against them.
"The will to fight should far exceed your personal consciousness; even if you faint, you must be able to rise again..." Li Ming felt a surge of determination within him. He understood that true strength in battle relied not only on power but also on unwavering will and conviction. Even in the most desperate moments, he had to be able to stand up again and continue fighting.
