Jonas looked at Isabella, confusion etched on his face. Her expression was calm and resolute, as if she had already made an unshakeable decision. She handed him the hard drive and said firmly and calmly, "You need to take this data and get out of here. Get the others to safety." 0

Jonas furrowed his brow. "What about you?" he asked, his heart filled with unease and doubt. 0

Isabella did not respond immediately; instead, she turned back to face the control panel and asked the artificial intelligence in a flat tone, "Does the ship have a self-destruct system? Is it still operational?" 0

The artificial intelligence flickered for a moment before quickly processing data. The ship's system diagram began to appear on the panel, but most of it showed statuses of disconnection or failure. Jonas stared at the images on the panel, feeling an increasing sense of danger. The artificial intelligence's voice came coldly, "Most systems have failed; only a few remain operational." 0

Isabella focused on the one control point that was still lit, a glimmer of determination flashing in her eyes. The artificial intelligence continued to explain, "That area is the Boiler Room of the Superluminal Engine. Although flight capabilities have failed, if necessary, this system can still operate partially and support overload." 0

"Overload..." Jonas immediately understood, a mix of surprise and anxiety crossing his face. He strode toward Isabella and asked in a low but tense voice, "What are you thinking? What do you plan to do?" 0

Isabella turned to look at him, a complex smile gracing her lips—one that held resignation, relief, and even a hint of liberation. "This is the source, Jonas. We cannot fully understand the power of these Worms, nor can we stop their spread. If we don’t do something, they will continue to erode and destroy everything." Her voice was deep and resolute, imbued with profound determination. 0

Jonas tightened his grip on the hard drive, his mind swirling in chaos. "You're insane! This isn't your responsibility! We can find another way!" His voice was filled with anxiety as he struggled to accept this harsh reality. 0

Isabella slowly shook her head. "I don’t have much time left; the Worm has already spread within me. You can see it—I’m losing control. If we don’t act now, once they fully take over my body, it will all be over." 0

She stepped closer to Jonas and gazed deeply into his eyes as if this were their final farewell. "Take the hard drive and go; this is our only chance to end this disaster." Her tone left no room for argument. 0

Jonas clenched his jaw, his eyes flickering with conflict and pain. He could not accept this decision but felt powerless to argue against it. He looked at Isabella—the strong, composed scientist—now standing here ready to sacrifice herself. 0

"Go now, Jonas," Isabella said softly. "I will put an end to everything." 0

As Isabella's determination slowly took root in her mind, the dark voice erupted in a furious roar, filled with wild anger and fear, like a raging beast tearing through the air. "You foolish creature! You actually want to end it like this?!" The voice was a thunderous growl, intolerant of her decision. 0

"Are you insane?! The scientific research isn't complete! The Light Activation Project is still waiting for you! This is the future of all humanity; how can you just give up?" The voice desperately urged her, growing increasingly frantic and sharp, as if layers of blades were piercing her brain. 0

It began to attack her deepest vulnerabilities. "What about the promises you made to your family? The hopes of your parents before they passed away, your commitments—everything will turn to dust! If you choose this path, you will betray everyone, betray everything you once believed in!" Those voices relentlessly bombarded her will with memories from her past, her responsibilities, and even the scientific truths she pursued, trying again and again to pull her back from her resolve. 0

The voice grew more desperate, almost pleading with her. "Think about it; you will become a scientist who changes the world! The success of the Light Activation Project will etch your name in history! Don’t do this; it’s your only chance!" It roared fiercely, nearly begging her to reconsider. 0

Every word felt like a blade stabbing into Isabella's heart, making it impossible for her to ignore the seductive pressure. Her mind churned with all her past dreams, her family's expectations, and unfinished research. These voices fought desperately to reclaim her reason and goals, trying to pull her back under their control. 0

But Isabella took a deep breath, forcing herself to withstand the turmoil within and gritting her teeth to solidify her resolve. The angry whispers only grew louder, but she became more certain that this path was the only one she could choose. 0

"Enough." She said softly to herself, her voice steady and resolute, filled with determination as she ignored the dark temptations. 0

Isabella's patience finally wore thin; she suddenly erupted with a deafening roar, fire igniting in her eyes. "Jonas! Get out of here! Leave now!" Her voice echoed through the narrow, cold metal chamber of the spaceship, filled with unwavering determination and despair. 0

Jonas was taken aback by her outburst, stunned for a moment as tumultuous waves surged within him. He knew that Isabella had made up her mind; nothing he said could change her choice. She was not only willing to perish with this strange alien ship but also prepared to bear all the burdens that came with it. Jonas's throat tightened as countless words lodged in his mouth, unsure of how to express himself. 0

He slowly stepped back a few paces, his gaze never leaving Isabella. She stood there like a statue destined for self-sacrifice—resolute yet despairing. He took a deep breath; his heart felt heavy as if crushed by a boulder. But Jonas understood he could no longer delay. He had to survive and carry away the truth of it all. 0

Just as he was about to reach the hatchway, Jonas finally stopped and spoke in a low voice filled with profound respect. "Isabella, what you're doing... I admire you. You are a true warrior, sacrificing yourself for truth and the future." He gazed at Isabella's silhouette, his eyes shimmering with unmasked pain and awe. 0

He paused slightly, his voice becoming heavier and more sincere. "I promise you, I will make everything that happens here public, so everyone knows your sacrifices and that all of this has meaning. You will become the hero who saves countless lives, Isabella." 0

After saying this, Jonas's hand trembled slightly, as if he was reluctant to leave, but he knew there was no turning back. He gritted his teeth and quickly turned away from the ship, the sound of the hatch closing behind him slowly echoing, as if bidding a final farewell to everything in the past. 0

In his heart, he understood that Isabella's fate had already been determined by her own choices. 0
