"Hey, Jing Tian," I said softly.
"What's wrong?" Bo Jingtian asked with concern.
"I wanted to consult you about something," I replied politely.
"What is it?" Bo Jingtian inquired curiously.
"I'll tell you later," I said mysteriously.
"Alright," Bo Jingtian said helplessly.
"Thank you," I expressed my gratitude.
"You're welcome," Bo Jingtian replied gently.
"Then I'll hang up now," I said.
"Okay," Bo Jingtian responded.
With that, I ended the call.
Knock, knock, knock... The sound of knocking echoed.
"Come in," Bo Jingtian said coldly.
"President Bo, here is your work schedule for tomorrow," Wang Feng entered with a folder, speaking respectfully.
"Mm," Bo Jingtian acknowledged.
"I'll take my leave then," Wang Feng said.
"Mm," Bo Jingtian replied again.
Wang Feng turned and left the office.
Bo Jingtian took the work schedule from Wang Feng's hands, his brow slightly furrowing.
"Wang Feng," Bo Jingtian called out.
"President Bo, is there anything else you need?" Wang Feng stopped and turned to ask.
"Cancel all these tasks," Bo Jingtian ordered.
"Huh?" Wang Feng was taken aback.
"What do you mean 'huh'?" Bo Jingtian shot back coldly.
"President Bo, these are all important tasks," Wang Feng reminded him.
"I know," Bo Jingtian replied in a frosty tone.
"Then why do you want to cancel them?" Wang Feng asked, puzzled.
"I have something to attend to," Bo Jingtian stated indifferently.
"What is it?" Wang Feng asked curiously.
"Do I need to report it to you?" Bo Jingtian responded coldly.
"No, no need," Wang Feng quickly shook his head.
"Then hurry up and take care of it!" Bo Jingtian said sharply.
"Yes, President Bo," Wang Feng hurriedly replied.
With that, Wang Feng rushed out of the office.
Bo Jingtian gazed out the window, lost in thought. Meanwhile, Wang Feng hurried off to arrange some work.
In the evening, after finishing up company matters, Bo Jingtian prepared to leave early for home.
"President Bo, are you leaving?" Wang Feng asked in surprise.
"Yes," Bo Jingtian replied.
"Why are you leaving so early today?" Wang Feng questioned, puzzled.
"Is there a problem?" Bo Jingtian responded coldly.
"No, no problem," Wang Feng stammered.
"Alright," Bo Jingtian said before departing.
Wang Feng watched in shock as Bo Jingtian walked away. President Bo was a workaholic who usually left the office in the early hours of the morning; it was astonishing that he was leaving so early today. Was the sun rising in the west? Wang Feng thought to himself.
Meanwhile, Bo Jingtian returned to Sunshine Villa.
"You’re back," I said with a smile.
"Yes," Bo Jingtian replied.
"You must be tired; have a cup of tea," I suggested.
"What kind of tea is this?" Bo Jingtian asked curiously.
"Health Tea," I smiled.
"You can brew Health Tea?" Bo Jingtian exclaimed in surprise.
"Uh-huh," I said proudly.
"It tastes good," Bo Jingtian complimented.
"Of course," I replied with pride.
"Did you need something from me?" Bo Jingtian suddenly remembered and asked.
"Yes," I nodded.
"What is it?" Bo Jingtian inquired with curiosity.
"It's about that Unlimited Black Card; can I use it freely?" I asked.
"As long as it's not illegal, you can use it," Bo Jingtian said.
"That's good to know," I replied, feeling relieved.
"What do you plan to do with it?" Bo Jingtian asked, intrigued.
"I want to acquire a company," I stated seriously.
"Which company?" Bo Jingtian questioned.
"The one owned by Su Liyan," I said through gritted teeth.
"Are you sure?" Bo Jingtian frowned.
"Sure," I replied firmly.
"Why?" Bo Jingtian asked, puzzled.
"Because she bullies me," I said with resentment.
"Do you need my help?" Bo Jingtian inquired.
"Yes," I nodded.
"Alright, I'll help you," Bo Jingtian promised.
"Thank you," I said happily.
"You're welcome," Bo Jingtian replied gently.
"Why are you so nice to me?" I asked curiously.
"Because you're my wife," Bo Jingtian said affectionately.
"You treat me so well," I said, touched.
"You're my wife. If I don't treat you well, who else would I treat well?" Bo Jingtian spoiled me.
"Hehe," I laughed happily.
"By the way, is there anything else you need help with?" Bo Jingtian asked.
"How did you know I had other things I needed help with?" I was surprised.
"Because you wouldn't just ask for help with one thing," Bo Jingtian analyzed.
"You’re too smart," I praised him.
"So, what else do you need?" Bo Jingtian asked.
"Just a small matter," I said shyly.
"What is it?" Bo Jingtian asked curiously.
"Could you help me collect a debt?" I said awkwardly.
"A debt?" Bo Jingtian questioned, confused.
"Yes," I nodded.
"What kind of debt?" Bo Jingtian asked.
"It's from a friend of Su Liyan who owes me money," I explained.
"How much does she owe you?" Bo Jingtian asked.
"Two thousand," I replied.
"Two thousand?" Bo Jingtian exclaimed in surprise.
"Yes," I nodded again.
"Are you sure that's all you need to collect?" Bo Jingtian asked skeptically.
"I'm sure," I affirmed confidently.
"Okay, I'll help you collect it," Bo Jingtian agreed.
"Thank you, Jing Tian," I expressed my gratitude.
"You're welcome," Bo Jingtian said gently.
"You are so nice to me," I replied, touched.
"You are my wife. If I don't treat you well, who else should I treat well?" Bo Jingtian said indulgently.
"Hehe," I laughed happily.
"Let's eat quickly; the food will get cold," I urged.
"Okay," Bo Jingtian responded.
So, we began to eat.
After finishing our meal, Bo Jingtian went to his study to work. I returned to my room to take a shower and change clothes. Once I was done, I sat on the bed playing games while Bo Jingtian continued working in the study.
He called Wang Feng to discuss two matters. The first was the acquisition of Su Liyan's company. The second was to help Su Xiaoxiao collect a debt.
Upon hearing this, Wang Feng immediately set out to execute the tasks. His efficiency was impressive; by the next day, he had everything sorted out. Wang Feng enlisted a professional legal team to handle Su Xiaoxiao's situation and had already made contact with Su Liyan.
Wang Feng approached Huang Lu with a lawyer's letter in hand.
"Hello, Miss Huang Lu," Wang Feng greeted politely.
"Who are you?" Huang Lu asked suspiciously.
"I am Wang Feng, Assistant to President Bo," he introduced himself.
"What do you want from me?" Huang Lu inquired, puzzled.
"This is a lawyer's letter; please sign for it," Wang Feng said as he presented the document.
"A lawyer's letter?" Huang Lu exclaimed in shock.
"Yes," Wang Feng confirmed.
"I haven't committed any crime; why would I receive a lawyer's letter?" Huang Lu said angrily.
"Whether you've committed a crime or not, you know very well," Wang Feng replied coldly.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Huang Lu retorted defensively.
"Then we'll wait for the court's notice," Wang Feng warned.
"You..." Huang Lu's face turned pale with anger.
"Goodbye," Wang Feng said before leaving.
Huang Lu trembled with rage as she clutched the lawyer's letter.
The people around them were buzzing with speculation.
"What's wrong with her?" Passerby A asked curiously.
"I don't know," Passerby B replied, shaking their head.
"It seems like she received a lawyer's letter," Passerby C guessed.
"She wouldn't have done something illegal, would she?" Passerby D speculated.
"Maybe," Passerby E chimed in.
Huang Lu, overhearing the chatter, felt her face turn pale with anger. She threw the lawyer's letter to the ground and stomped on it twice, as if treating it like Su Xiaoxiao herself.
"Su Xiaoxiao, you little bitch! How dare you do this to me? I will never let you off the hook!" Huang Lu gritted her teeth.
Meanwhile, Su Xiaoxiao was playing a game with Liu Ying when she suddenly sneezed.
"Ah-choo!" I couldn't help but sneeze.
"Are you catching a cold?" Liu Ying asked with concern.
"No," I shook my head.
"Then why did you suddenly sneeze?" Liu Ying questioned, puzzled.
"Maybe someone is cursing me," I speculated.
"Who?" Liu Ying asked curiously.
"Who else but Huang Lu?" I replied with a cold laugh.
"Is she bothering you again?" Liu Ying frowned.
"Yeah," I nodded.
"She's really annoying," Liu Ying said disdainfully.
"Absolutely," I agreed.
"What are you planning to do about it?" Liu Ying asked.
"Of course, I'll help her out," I said with a sly smile.
"What do you mean?" Liu Ying asked, intrigued.
"Just wait and see the show," I replied mysteriously.
