"Hello, Miss Su," Zhang Liangshan said respectfully.
"Who are you?" I asked, puzzled.
"I am the deputy manager of the company, Zhang Liangshan," he introduced himself.
"Oh, nice to meet you," I replied.
"Miss Su, please come in," Zhang Liangshan invited.
"Okay," I nodded.
So, I followed Zhang Liangshan into the company.
"Manager Zhang, who is she?" someone asked curiously.
"She is our new general manager," Zhang Liangshan introduced.
"What?" Everyone was shocked.
"How could she possibly be the general manager?" someone questioned.
"She's just an adopted daughter," another scoffed.
"Do you have any objections?" Zhang Liangshan asked, displeased.
"Manager Zhang, we..." the crowd tried to argue.
"If you have no objections, then be quiet!" Zhang Liangshan said sternly.
At that, everyone fell silent.
Meanwhile, I continued to wander around the company.
"Miss Su, this is our design department," Zhang Liangshan pointed out.
"Mm," I nodded.
"What do you need, Miss Su?" he asked, trying to please me.
"I'm just looking around," I replied lightly.
"Alright," he responded.
Thus, I began to stroll leisurely through the company.
"Miss Su, would you like some tea?" an assistant brought over a cup and asked sweetly.
"Thank you," I said politely.
"You're welcome," the assistant replied, surprised by my response.
I took the tea and sipped it slowly. At that moment, those who had bullied me before were filled with dread.
"Miss Su, how did you end up here?" Jiang Lin asked fearfully.
"I am the new general manager, of course I'm here," I said with a smile.
"What?" Jiang Lin exclaimed in shock.
"Jiang Lin, it's been a while," I continued, still smiling.
"Miss Su, hello," Jiang Lin managed to force a smile.
"Jiang Lin, why do you look so pale?" I asked curiously.
"I'm fine," Jiang Lin replied with a forced grin.
"Really?" I questioned skeptically.
"Yes," Jiang Lin nodded.
"Are you sure you're not feeling unwell?" I expressed my concern.
"I'm fine," Jiang Lin shook his head.
"Are you really okay?" I pressed for confirmation again.
"I really am fine," Jiang Lin insisted repeatedly.
"Since you're fine, then it's perfect timing; I have some good news to share with you," I said cheerfully.
"What good news?" Jiang Lin asked warily.
"From now on, you'll be responsible for cleaning the restrooms," I said with a grin.
"What?" Jiang Lin was shocked again.
"Is your hearing bad?" I asked in confusion.
"Miss Su, are you joking?" Jiang Lin forced another smile.
"Do I look like I'm joking?" I replied with a smile.
"Miss Su, you can't do this," Jiang Lin said anxiously.
"Why can't I do this?" I countered.
"I'm an internet celebrity; if you make me clean the restroom, what will my fans think?" Jiang Lin tried to persuade me.
"You make a good point," I agreed.
"Right," Jiang Lin sighed in relief.
"But why should that matter to me?" I shot back.
"You..." Jiang Lin was getting frustrated.
"You don't want to?" I narrowed my eyes and asked.
"I don't want to," Jiang Lin stated firmly.
"Then you can leave the company," I said with a smile.
"You..." Jiang Lin gritted his teeth.
"What do you mean, 'you'?" I glared at him.
"Fine, I'll go clean the restroom," Jiang Lin said, swallowing his pride.
"Good boy," I replied with satisfaction.
With that, Jiang Lin left.
"Miss Su, here is your tea," the assistant said, bringing over a cup and trying to please me.
"Thank you," I said politely.
"You're welcome," the assistant replied, taken aback by my response.
I took the tea and sipped it leisurely. Meanwhile, those who had bullied me before were now even more fearful.
"Miss Su, is there something you need from me?" Li Mei asked nervously.
"Your bag has been used for quite a while, hasn't it?" I said with a smile.
"Yes," Li Mei forced a smile in response.
"It's time for a new one," I continued cheerfully.
"I..." Li Mei hesitated to refuse.
"You don't want to change?" I narrowed my eyes at her.
"No, that's not what I meant," Li Mei hurriedly explained.
"Then what do you mean?" I countered.
"What I mean is..." Li Mei stammered.
"What do you mean?" I pressed further.
"I mean, I've been tight on money lately, so I can't afford a new one," Li Mei offered as an excuse.
"That's okay, I'll lend you one," I said with a smile.
"No... that's not necessary," Li Mei replied awkwardly.
"Why are you being polite with me?" I smiled again.
"I'm not being polite; I really don't need it," Li Mei insisted.
"You don't want it?" I narrowed my eyes again.
"I really don't want it," Li Mei affirmed firmly.
"Then just give me your bag back," I extended my hand toward her.
"What?" Li Mei exclaimed in shock.
"Give me back my bag," I demanded.
"Miss Su, are you joking?" Li Mei forced a smile.
"Do I look like I'm joking?" I replied with a grin.
"Miss Su, you can't do this," Li Mei said anxiously.
"Why can't I?" I countered.
"This bag is already quite old; it won't be of any use to you," Li Mei tried to persuade me.
"You make a good point," I agreed.
"Right?" Li Mei sighed in relief.
"But what does that have to do with me?" I asked.
"You..." Li Mei said, exasperated.
"You don't want to?" I narrowed my eyes.
"I don't want to," Li Mei insisted firmly.
"Then you'll have to compensate me," I said with a smile.
"Compensate?" Li Mei was shocked.
"Yes," I nodded.
"Why should I compensate you?" Li Mei asked, confused.
"Because your bag is damaged," I replied, still smiling.
"That's impossible!" Li Mei exclaimed in disbelief.
"How is it impossible?" I retorted.
"This bag is just a bit old; it's not broken," Li Mei argued.
"So you're saying if it's not broken, then there's no need for compensation?" I squinted at her.
"That's not what I meant," Li Mei hurriedly explained.
"What do you mean then?" I pressed her further.
"I mean it's not broken yet, so there's no need for compensation," Li Mei tried to convince me again.
"What if it breaks?" I asked.
"If it breaks, then I'll definitely compensate you," Li Mei promised earnestly.
"Are you sure?" I asked again for confirmation.
"I'm sure," Li Mei nodded firmly.
"Alright then, let's just let it break," I said with a smile.
"You..." Li Mei exclaimed in shock.
"What’s wrong with me?" I asked curiously.
"You..." Li Mei pointed at me, unable to find the words in her anger.
"What about me?" I glared at her.
"Su Xiaoxiao, you’re being unreasonable!" Li Mei accused.
"How am I being unreasonable?" I replied innocently.
"You..." Li Mei was so furious she couldn't speak.
"What about you?" I glared at her again.
"You little witch!" Li Mei shouted.
"Smack!" I slapped her across the face.
"How dare you hit me?" Li Mei covered her swollen cheek, shocked.
"Why wouldn’t I dare?" I retorted.
"Su Xiaoxiao, you little witch, how could you hit me!" Li Mei went wild.
"Smack! Smack!" I slapped her twice more.
"You..." Li Mei trembled with rage.
"What about you?" I glared at her again.
"Su Xiaoxiao, you little witch, may you have a terrible fate!" Li Mei spat venomously.
"Smack! Smack! Smack!" I delivered three consecutive slaps.
"You..." Li Mei was left speechless in her anger.
"What about you?" I glared at her once more.
"Su Xiaoxiao, you little witch, I won’t let this go!" Li Mei threatened.
"Oh really?" I questioned skeptically.
"Yes," Li Mei nodded firmly.
"So how do you plan to not let this go?" I asked with curiosity.
"I..." Li Mei was at a loss for words.
"What about you?" I glared at her again.
"Su Xiaoxiao, you little witch, just wait and see!" Li Mei declared fiercely.
"Alright, I'll be waiting," I said with a smile.
With that, Li Mei left.
I continued to wander around the company.
“Miss Su, would you like some tea?” the assistant brought over a cup, trying to please me.
“Thank you,” I replied politely.
“You're welcome,” the assistant said, surprised by my response.
I took the tea and sipped it leisurely. Meanwhile, those who had once bullied me were now even more fearful.
“Miss Su, is there something you need from me?” Zhang Jing asked nervously.
“Please take down all the photos on the wall,” I said with a smile.
“Why?” Zhang Jing asked, confused.
“Because they’re unsightly,” I replied, still smiling.
“Miss Su, are you joking?” Zhang Jing forced a smile in response.
“Do I look like I'm joking?” I asked, maintaining my cheerful demeanor.
“Miss Su, you can't do this,” Zhang Jing said anxiously.
“Why can’t I?” I countered.
“These photos are important materials for our company,” Zhang Jing tried to persuade me.
“That sounds reasonable,” I agreed.
“Right?” Zhang Jing sighed in relief.
“But what does that have to do with me?” I retorted.
“You…” Zhang Jing was getting frustrated.
“Are you unwilling?” I narrowed my eyes at her.
“I am unwilling,” Zhang Jing insisted firmly.
“Then you should leave the company,” I said with a smile.
“You…” Zhang Jing was exasperated.
“What about me?” I glared at her.
“Fine, I'll go get the photos,” Zhang Jing said, swallowing her pride.
“Good girl,” I said with satisfaction.
With that, Zhang Jing left the room. I continued to wander around the company, while those who had once bullied me grew even more fearful.
"Miss Su, what do you need from me?" the accountant asked nervously.
"Bring me the company's ledgers," I said with a smile.
"Why?" the accountant replied, confused.
"Because I want to audit the accounts," I smiled again.
"Miss Su, are you joking?" the accountant forced a smile.
"Do I look like I'm joking?" I asked, still smiling.
"Miss Su, you can't do this," the accountant said anxiously.
"Why can't I?" I countered.
"These ledgers are company secrets," the accountant tried to persuade me.
"You make it sound reasonable," I agreed.
"Right," the accountant sighed in relief.
"But what does that have to do with me?" I retorted.
"You..." the accountant stammered in frustration.
"You don't want to?" I narrowed my eyes.
"I don't want to," the accountant insisted firmly.
"Then you should leave the company," I said with a smile.
"You..." the accountant was exasperated.
"What about it?" I glared at him.
"Fine, I'll go get the ledgers," the accountant said, swallowing his pride.
"Good boy," I replied with satisfaction.
With that, the accountant left. Meanwhile, I continued to wander around the company. At that moment, those who had once bullied me were even more frightened.
