To celebrate our newfound joy of marriage, Bo Jingtian had reserved the most renowned Western restaurant in Silver Sea City—Moonlight Sonata.
Inside the restaurant, every corner was adorned with fresh roses, and the long table was set with an array of dazzling gold jewelry that sparkled brilliantly.
“Do you like it?” Bo Jingtian asked gently.
“I love it,” I replied, excitement shining in my eyes.
“All of this is for you,” Bo Jingtian said affectionately.
“Really?” I exclaimed in surprise as I tried on each piece of jewelry and snapped photos to send to Uncle Luo.
Uncle Luo replied: [Young Master and Young Lady are truly filled with romance.]
I responded: [Of course.]
Uncle Luo: [Young Lady, don’t forget to be a little gentle with the Young Master.]
I replied: [Am I not good enough to him?]
Uncle Luo: [If the Young Master is happy, then I am happy.]
I asked: [What if I’m not happy?]
Uncle Luo: [How could the Young Lady not be happy?]
I answered: [I won’t be.]
Uncle Luo: [Then that settles it.]
I fell silent.
Bo Jingtian cleared his throat, reminding me, “It’s time to eat.”
“Coming,” I said, putting down my phone and returning to my seat.
Sitting at the exquisite dining table, I looked at the steak before me and marveled, “It looks amazing.”
“This is the finest steak in Silver Sea City,” Bo Jingtian said proudly.
“Do you come here often?” I asked casually.
“This is my first time,” Bo Jingtian replied calmly.
“Really?” I said, half skeptical.
“Really,” Bo Jingtian insisted, looking at me earnestly.
“Alright, I believe you,” I laughed as I began to enjoy the meal.
Bo Jingtian watched me, his eyes filled with warmth and joy.
After dinner, Bo Jingtian asked, "What do you want to do next?"
"I want to see a musical performance," I suggested excitedly.
"Alright, I'll take you," Bo Jingtian replied indulgently.
"Great!" I nodded happily.
So, we headed to the famous Starlight Theater in Silver Sea City.
The theater was currently showcasing a newly rehearsed play, A Midsummer Night's Dream.
The atmosphere here was relaxed and enjoyable, with the audience watching while savoring snacks.
I loved this feeling, and although Bo Jingtian wasn't particularly interested in drama, he was willing to share this joy with me.
After the performance ended, I took Bo Jingtian backstage to find Ivy.
"Xiao Min," I greeted cheerfully.
"Xiaoxiao, what brings you here?" Ivy asked in surprise.
"I'm here to ask for your help," I said directly.
"Do you want an autograph?" Ivy asked curiously.
"Yes, I want Master Zhang's autograph," I replied excitedly.
"Master Zhang?" Ivy exclaimed in shock.
"Yes," I nodded expectantly.
"What do you need him for?" Ivy asked, puzzled.
"It's for..." I explained the situation to her.
"I see," Ivy understood.
"So, can you help me get Master Zhang's autograph?" I asked hopefully.
"Of course," Ivy agreed readily.
"Thank you!" I expressed my gratitude.
"No need to mention it," Ivy said generously.
"By the way, how have you been lately?" I asked with concern.
"Oh, the same as always," Ivy replied helplessly.
"What do you mean by 'the same'?" I asked in confusion.
"It's those rich ladies who always ask me to customize dresses," Ivy said with a frown.
"Isn't that a good thing?" I asked, puzzled.
"It is, but they always rush me, have so many demands, and sometimes they cancel for various reasons. That means I've worked for nothing," Ivy complained.
"I see," I said, pondering her words.
"Yeah," Ivy replied sadly.
"Have you considered doing it differently?" I suggested.
"What do you mean?" Ivy asked curiously.
"You could open a high-end custom studio specifically for those demanding rich ladies. For other customers, you could hire a few skilled seamstresses to help out. That way, it would be much easier for you," I proposed.
"That's a good idea," Ivy said, realization dawning on her.
"And you could set some rules, like only taking a few orders a month, requiring customers not to easily return items. You could also improve the payment method by asking for a deposit upfront. If they back out later, the deposit isn't refunded. If they insist on going through with it, they should pay for the fabric first. That way, even if they change their minds, you won't lose out," I analyzed carefully.
"Xiaoxiao, you're so smart," Ivy marveled.
"Oh, it's nothing special," I replied modestly.
"Thank you so much, Xiaoxiao," Ivy expressed her gratitude.
"You're welcome," I said generously.
"It's getting late; I'll give you the signature tomorrow," Ivy stated.
"Okay," I agreed.
"Thanks again," Ivy said appreciatively.
"No need to mention it," I replied graciously.
With that, Bo Jingtian and I left Starlight Theater.
Once we got home, Bo Jingtian told me, "Grandpa will be discharged from the hospital the day after tomorrow."
"Oh," I nodded obediently.
"You need to prepare a gift," Bo Jingtian instructed.
"Sure," I responded readily.
"Don't worry; I've got everything covered," Bo Jingtian reassured me.
"Mm-hmm," I nodded calmly.
The next day, Bo Jingtian and I went to the hospital to pick up Old Master Bo.
Old Master Bo looked at us and said happily, "Xiaoxiao, you finally came to see me."
"Grandpa, I'm sorry. I was a bit busy before," I replied apologetically.
"It's fine, I'm just glad you're here," Old Master Bo said generously.
"Grandpa, this is a gift for you," I handed him a gift box and said.
"What kind of gift?" Old Master Bo asked curiously.
"Open it and see," I said with anticipation.
"Alright," Old Master Bo said joyfully as he opened the gift box.
"It's a Fortune and Prosperity Cup," Old Master Bo exclaimed excitedly.
"Yes," I nodded.
"Xiaoxiao, you really shouldn't have gone to such trouble," Old Master Bo said, touched.
"It's nothing, just a small gift," I replied humbly.
"You are such a wonderful child," Old Master Bo praised.
"Grandpa, let's go home," I suggested to change the subject.
"Okay," Old Master Bo agreed readily.
So we returned to the Bo Family estate.
The Bo Family estate was located in the center of Silver Sea City, covering several thousand square meters, and was a typical classical style building.
"Young Master, Young Lady, Sir, you have returned," the butler greeted us warmly.
"Mm," Bo Jingtian responded coldly.
"Hello, Grandpa," everyone gathered around and greeted him enthusiastically.
"Good," Old Master Bo said happily.
I looked at these people and thought to myself, "So this is what a wealthy family looks like."
"Xiaoxiao, are you feeling out of place?" Old Master Bo asked with concern.
"No, not at all," I shook my head.
"If there's anything you're not used to, just tell the butler," Old Master Bo instructed.
"Okay," I nodded obediently.
