"Thank you," I said gratefully.
"No need to thank me," Bo Jingtian replied softly.
"I will repay you," I said earnestly.
"How will you repay me?" Bo Jingtian asked curiously.
"I..." I was taken aback.
"I haven't thought of it yet," I admitted awkwardly.
"Then take your time to think," Bo Jingtian said calmly.
"Alright," I agreed helplessly.
"You can eat slowly; I'm going back to my room," Bo Jingtian said as he stood up.
"Okay," I responded obediently.
After Bo Jingtian left, I began to ponder how to repay him.
Bo Jingtian lacked nothing—he had money, status, and fame.
"Sigh, this is really troubling," I muttered to myself.
After a while, once I had eaten and drunk enough, I returned to my room.
The next day, we continued our outing.
"Where are we going today?" I asked excitedly.
"Anywhere," Bo Jingtian replied nonchalantly.
"Do you have any recommendations?" I asked eagerly.
"No," Bo Jingtian said indifferently.
"Alright then," I said, feeling a bit disappointed.
"How about we go to the snack street?" I suggested.
"Sure," Bo Jingtian agreed readily.
So we went to the snack street.
We spent the day wandering around and indulging in a lot of delicious food.
In the evening, I went out to dinner with Ivy and the others.
"Xiaoxiao, you're finally back!" Ivy exclaimed excitedly upon seeing me.
"Yeah," I replied calmly.
"I missed you so much," Ivy said, pulling my hand and acting cute.
"I miss you too," I replied dismissively.
"I don't believe you," Ivy shook her head.
"I really do miss you," I said earnestly.
"Hmph, I still don't believe it," Ivy said with a hint of pride.
"What can I do for you to believe me?" I asked helplessly.
"Unless..." Ivy hesitated.
"Unless what?" I asked curiously.
"You take me out to dinner," Ivy said playfully.
"Sure," I agreed readily.
"Really?" Ivy exclaimed excitedly.
"Really," I confirmed.
"That's great!" Ivy said happily.
"What about Xiao Liu and the others?" I looked around and asked.
"They're not here yet," Ivy glanced at the time and replied.
"Oh," I nodded in understanding.
"Why haven't they arrived yet?" I asked impatiently.
"They should be here soon," Ivy guessed.
"Alright," I said resignedly.
"How about we order first?" Ivy suggested.
"Okay," I agreed.
So, we began to order food.
"What are you going to eat?" Ivy looked at me and asked.
"I'll have whatever," I handed the menu to Ivy.
"Then I'll order," Ivy said cheerfully.
"Mm-hmm," I nodded.
Ivy quickly decided on the dishes and handed the menu to the waiter.
"Please wait a moment," the waiter said politely.
"Mm-hmm," Ivy responded calmly.
“Xiaoxiao, are you happy now?” Ivy suddenly asked.
“Happy, yes,” I replied calmly.
“Are you really happy?” Ivy questioned uncertainly.
“Of course,” I affirmed.
“But you…” Ivy hesitated.
“What’s wrong with me?” I asked, puzzled.
“You’re married to President Bo. Do you love him?” Ivy expressed her concern.
“I…” I was taken aback.
“Have you fallen in love with him?” Ivy continued.
“I…” I was at a loss for words.
“Xiaoxiao, if you don’t love him, don’t marry him,” Ivy advised earnestly.
“I…” I hesitated.
“Xiaoxiao, please don’t force yourself,” Ivy said with care.
“I know,” I whispered softly.
“If you have any difficulties, make sure to tell me,” Ivy said seriously.
“Okay,” I replied, touched by her words.
“I won’t let you suffer,” Ivy promised firmly.
“Thank you, Ivy,” I expressed my gratitude.
“No need to thank me; we’re good friends,” Ivy smiled warmly.
“Mm.” I nodded, feeling moved.
“We're here,” came Li Xiaoliu's voice.
“You finally made it,” Ivy said as she looked at them.
“We're late,” Li Xiaoliu apologized.
“It’s fine; we just arrived too,” I said calmly.
“That’s good to hear,” Li Xiaoliu replied, relieved.
“And who is this?” I asked, looking at the boy next to Ivy.
“This is my brother, Ivan,” Ivy introduced him.
“Hello,” Ivan said shyly.
"Hello," we said in unison.
"Please, have a seat," I invited.
"Sure," Ivan replied obediently.
With that, Ivy and Ivan sat down.
"Let's order," I suggested politely.
"Okay," Ivy responded readily.
So, we began to place our orders.
"Sister Xiao, did you really marry President Bo?" Ivan suddenly asked.
"Yes," I replied calmly.
"Do you really like him?" Ivan inquired with curiosity.
"I..." I hesitated.
"Why are you asking that?" I interrupted.
"I..." Ivan faltered.
"Why did you interrupt my brother?" Ivy defended Ivan.
"I..." I was at a loss for words.
"I'm sorry, my brother didn't mean to offend," Ivy apologized.
"It's fine," I said softly.
"He was just curious," Ivy explained.
"I understand," I acknowledged.
"Don't take it to heart," Ivy comforted me.
"I won't take it to heart," I assured her calmly.
"Thank you for your understanding," Ivy expressed her gratitude.
"No need to thank me," I replied quietly.
"Let's eat," Ivy suggested to lighten the mood.
"Sure," we said together.
And so, we began to eat our meal.
After finishing, Ivy proposed going to a bar for some fun.
"Sounds good," Li Xiaoliu agreed readily.
"Xiaoxiao, are you going?" Ivy asked me, looking my way.
"Go ahead," I replied calmly.
"Then let's go," Ivy said happily.
So, we headed to the bar.
At the bar, we drank a lot.
"Xiaoxiao, you should stop drinking," Ivy advised.
"I'm fine," I shook my head.
"You’re already drunk," Ivy frowned.
"I..." My words were starting to slur.
"Let's go back," Ivy suggested.
"Okay," I agreed readily.
We left the bar.
As soon as we stepped outside, Bo Jingtian picked me up.
"President Bo," Ivy exclaimed in surprise.
"I'll take her home," Bo Jingtian said coldly.
"Alright," Ivy quickly agreed.
Bo Jingtian carried me into the car, and I leaned against him and fell asleep.
The next day, I woke up to find it was already noon.
"My head hurts," I groaned in pain.
"You’re awake," Bo Jingtian said gently.
"Mm," I responded groggily.
"You drank a lot yesterday," Bo Jingtian expressed concern.
"I..." I felt embarrassed.
"Next time, don’t drink so much," Bo Jingtian advised.
"Okay," I replied obediently.
"Are you hungry?" Bo Jingtian guessed.
"Mm," I nodded slightly.
"I made breakfast; you should eat some," Bo Jingtian said softly.
"Okay." I said, feeling touched.
Then, Bo Jingtian helped me down the stairs.
"Wow, it smells amazing," I exclaimed.
"Go ahead and eat," Bo Jingtian said gently.
"Mm." I responded happily.
So, I began to eat breakfast.
"Have you eaten?" I suddenly remembered to ask.
"I've already eaten," Bo Jingtian replied calmly.
"Oh." I nodded in understanding.
"What's wrong with your lips?" I suddenly noticed that Bo Jingtian's lips were chapped.
"They were bitten by you," Bo Jingtian said awkwardly.
"Ah?" I was taken aback.
"You got drunk last night and mistook me for food, biting me," Bo Jingtian explained.
"I..." I felt extremely embarrassed.
"Do you have no memory of it at all?" Bo Jingtian looked at me and asked.
"I..." I tried to recall but couldn't remember anything.
"It seems you really were drunk," Bo Jingtian sighed.
"I..." I felt a wave of shame wash over me.
"You also said some things last night," Bo Jingtian suddenly added.
"What did I say?" I immediately felt anxious.
"Don't you remember?" Bo Jingtian stared at me intently.
"I..." Fear gripped me.
"You said we shouldn't be in a marriage of convenience," Bo Jingtian said seriously.
"I..." I was shocked.
"You said we should truly be together," Bo Jingtian continued.
"I..." I was left speechless.
